Ok, Athi and friends ! 1st off, I know from past experience that LOOONG write-ups, views are NOT read in its entirety. So will at least try to make it succinct and brief, without losing the essence ! 😆
Read almost all the bombastic and enlightening threads by the members, but was amiss to find that no one MISSED the fact that this epi 15, I mean Fri epi, did not show BigB AT ALL !! And yet it was just as thrilling, exciting, poignant, devastating epi, you get the pic !😆
Now that we are into the end of 3rd week, I notice a good balance in the characters by showing GOOD ones like Beeji, Shyama and hubby Akhil on the one hand, and "not-so-good" ones on the other, like wretched Amma, yelling and screaming Nupur / Pallavi. Poor Agasthya seems to be caught in the middle, between the two sides, or it so appears. And since BigB was conspicuous by his absence, they dont come any worse than HIM 🤢😡😲 And the TWO MAIN GIRLS, the two main protagonists, that the entire serial is based on are going to have to move the show and the story forward, although only done by BigB's daggers hanging on everyone's head.
The script (yet to find out the script writer) written for Nandini is mindblowing, no superlatives are enough. When Shyama bhabhi calmly and peaceful says that with Ani's death, his paap and punya have both died with him and so what's the point of rehashing everything ? Kya farak padta hai? Nandini hears those words and her emotional and mental outbursts are only equal to the script and how she portrays them ! CVs, bravo hands down !!! 👏⭐️👏⭐️👏⭐️
Nandini: Aaj mere jeene ka aakhri sahara bhi toot gaya (while crying in Beeji's arms). Woh aadmi mere saath bewafai kar raha tha," picks up all the pics and throws them at Shyama's face. Disheartened, lying on the floor, looks at the silver jewelry box. "Ani ke jaane ne mere banaav-singaar ko hi nahi chheen liya, unki asliyat ne meri maang ke sindoor ko bhi gaali di hai. Iss mangalsutra ki pavitrata pe thooka hai. Inn suhaag ki chudiyon ko berahami se apne pairon ke neech kuchal diya hai, kuchal diya hai." And the feet that crushed the suhaag ki bangles (I know English translation loses the meaning, BIG drawback 😳), Nandini's "feet" crushing the jewelry box, wow, what a direction !! ⭐️👏, walks over to bhabhi ... "Sab jhooth tha, main uss aurat (Meera) ko iss vishwas se iss ghar main le kar aayi ki woh mere pati ki dost hai. Par woh unki premika nikli." Akhil /beeji / amma / nupur / pallavi listening intently, Nandini's bleeding heart and the TRUTH in those words. "Jab Ani died, toh mujhe laga ki mere pairon ke neeche se zameen khisak gayi, par aaj aisa lag raha hai jaise main ek bottomless pit mein girti chali ja rahi hoon, girti chali ja rahi hoon. Jaise ye aasmaan mujhe nigal (swallow) raha hai." And ends her heartbreaking laments by saying ... "farak padta hai, bahut farak padta hai", to bhabhi.
And of course at this point all hell breaks loose as the entire army gets ready to attack Meera. But Nandini's utmost feeling of betrayal takes the better of her when she rushes over and throws all Ani-Meera pics at Meera's face. Here I have to state that Meera, while totally and expectedly taken aback by this sudden change of events, becomes totally shocked yet silent. The psychological angle that the director has depicted here is more than praiseworthy, coz Meera's face has no trace of guilt even thru the shock and silence of the moment. Her silent expressions and the acting are even MORE PROFOUND !!! After all, TRUTH HAS STRENGTH ALL ITS OWN !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
So, at this point, like a thread posted here about "only women being blacklisted", all hell breaks loose when Nupur / Pallavi / Amma go ballistic and use the ENTIRE ARSENAL of their lingo at Meera, without thinking even for a moment that she could be innocent, as Beeji said. But the violent screaming curtailed Beeji's concern, the buzurg ki suni ansuni kar di. Here Meera remembers thru FB about her pregnancy but mahabharat war completely shut her off. Not even her "savior" Agasthya had a say as mean ugly wretched Amma and sis Pallavi stopped him cold. And Pallavi's words that "Tumhare jaisi aurat, aurat zaat pe kalank hai" had me in knots when I heard those words.
We all sympathize with Nandini coz being in totally shattered condition, she's in no condition to be rational or logical and spares no anger and hurt at Meera. Hurls all sorts of hurtful epithets, blaming her to no end for ruining her life, and understandably so. At this point, the episode ends at Meera totally out of whack, holding both her ears, faints, falls on the floor unconscious.
Our society was not formed in a day. The truth behind blaming only women and ostracizing them for something they are not responsible for, has been known for eons and the way men get away with murder, even literally. CVs are more than aware of this ugly truth, yet presenting them in the episode so glaringly and not just for cinematic purposes, has to be necessary IMHO to create the impact that the viewing audience can feel.
Sorry have to end here, as me getting late for a Live Satsang.
Would love to hear comments, suggestions, share ideas, disagreements, everything goes !! 😆
Just my 5c!
