...Main bhi KUCH hoon...!

The way Nupur luked at Biji and expressed her desire of getting into the job and the enthusiasm she oozed off it... was so pleasing to watch... a liberated mind gets wings to fly... to aim high in her life... sad she needs to do it by keeping the family in the dark...! She FEARS those wings can be chopped off ...by the ruthless dictatorship of Balraj... and hence is cautious about it all the time...! YET... the desires cannot be stopped and i liked her ZEAL to live her life her way...!
The way Shyama luked at Akhil and stated this... for her status changed from a no-one(possibly) to a wife of Akhil... a bahu of a respected family...she got the unknown RESPECT, STATUS... possibly all due to Akhil's marraige with her... The admiration in her eyes for Akhil spoke volume of happiness... he gave her... The feeling of " YES... I too have it in me..." was after all not a easy thing to feel for her probably... achieved by being a WIFE of Akhil...!
The way Nandini reacted , when Meera spoke about the unsaid things by Ani about her... the tears morph into smiles... gives her the joy unknown... the value of her warmth, the appreciation of her food, the sweetness of her nature... all known to her...but never heard these said by Ani... suddenly brings happiness into her life... "Haan... Main bhi KUCH hoon..." kind of a feeling...! Thanks to Meera for helping Nandini in acheiving this self-realisation...!
So many women in the villages still face the brunt of the egoist men even after doing all the Gadhamajoori ...not a single appreciation comes their way... They do it as if they r JUST born for doing it... and not to expect anything in return...! So when the due respect, due honour comes across their way... and makes them feel elated about their SELF... it will be a refreshing change in our society...!
Loved the way this sentiment has been depicted thru these lovely characters...!

Awesome topic !

The show actually reflects the mindset of many homes in India even now. The Patriarchal society the dominance of men their attitude makes the women feel inferior and scared to achieve what they want to. Women hving to constantly looking for approval of the men in the house.

Nupur is an educated girl but she is refrained from spending time with friends or persue a career because of Balraj and their family tradition. She had to keep it a secret to avoid the backlash of Balraj ! Nupur, Nandini, Shyama, Beeji all of them spend their days finding little joys in little moments. Chatting, cooking or joking around ! Meera stepping in with jeans, boots and her liberal ways makes her an exciting topic of discussion for them inside house ! Her stories of camping and trekking excited them because some where they too also wish to have an identity of their own outside the confines of home.

This is so true...it reinforces the fact that women are often looked down upon in society, and the strength if nandini and meera as strong women when fighting against balraj will make them equivalent to men...and going back to the title...I remembering yesterday's episode nandini said 'mien bhi kuch hoon..un ki patni' it shows how undervalued she feels herself to be...comparing herself to a thing... I felt so sorry for her...nandini's scenes are so emotional, She'll be a wreck when she finds out about annirudh's deception..

Nice post... actually I'm liking this show for the same reason... it's showing the real situation of women in our society... their desires & the treatment they get from their male counterparts.

Yes dear... well observed... yest. episode itself opened up any unknown facts by the ladies, girls of the Asthaana parivaar... the way the girls Anuja and Nupur r in awe of Meera, her out-going nature, her liberated mind and her modern outlook, the amount of suppression of desires ...they must have had is seen...!
Nupur is sure to go against Balraj... the signs were seen yest. 😆
Luks like Meera's entry is a MARK of freedom for the ladies of Asthaana parivaar...😃

Yup dear... Sadly Nandini has even accepted the destiny ... that she is THE WIDOW of Ani and is more than gladly accepting the white attire... That shows how CLOSED she has kept herself ...confining her life to ONLY Anirudh... to the extent that she won't know to SURVIVE without his thought even...! She may be strong which may be seen in the coming episodes, but as of now, i feel Meera has a stronger self then Nandini...! Meera has allready accepted the FACT that she is the other woman and Nandini was Ani's wife... but for Nandini , it is gonna be difficult to accept this fact as she does not know Ani has deceived her , where he was LIFE for her...!

Thanks dear. me too... ! There r hardly so much female-oriented serials nowadays... the female lead may be shown strong for a while, but then slips into the saas-bahu saga and then glycerine factory will take care of the rest...🤔 this is a fresh breeze of change... with strong issues addressed in a subtle manner...😊
