that old lady is balrajs brothers wife.balrajs brother is dead. and balraj took over his business. i guess the old lady is cruel and want her sons (abhaasa and chaitanya) to get back business and property. now since balrajs only son anirudh is dead she is happy. and nandinis baby also died.
