The pretty girl preferred the bright lights to writing code for a multinational company and shifted to Mumbai nine months ago to pursue her dreams.
"I have not asked for a single penny from my parents after I shifted to Mumbai," says the Saat Phere and Raakhi star.
Ask her about Ekta Kapoor [Images]'s banner Balaji Telefilms [Get Quote] and Astha says, "Balaji is like the Karan Johar [Images] banner in television. Many actors will disagree with Balaji but still, they all want to work with them. I got a few offers from Balaji but they never materialised due to some problem or the other."
Right now, however the 20-something girl is very excited about her new show, where she will be seen getting married soon.
