Re the debate- I agree with Nikumb's vision and why not- he perceived the story his way- of course his personal experiences are clouding his writing too- but even without the baggage he carries somehow I don't see him writing 'happier' stories- deffo not for the market value but also coz of the kind of person he is- very much of a cynic and a realist! He can write proses but stories..hmmm...what we see around doesnt really inspire generally to write 'happy' things and I see this guy to be too idealistic, honest and realistic to pen down 'love conquered all and they lived happily ever after' kind of stuff somehow. But you never know- desi soap world main anything can happen- within days things can be butchered beyond redemption!

Yamini - I think more than for the market value, she wants a 'happy ending' for herself! She has sort of started subconsciously to identify herself with the heroine and wants that 'ending' for herself more than anything else! And I am scared that she just might do that- improvise at the end suddenly- much to Nikum's chagrin- but the play will gain a lot of 'waah waahi' from the junta and the critics coz of that and Nikumb will end up maha pissed with her. I hope it goes this way- this will keep the conflict very much alive.

Yes, Yamini mainly wants the happy ending for HER satisfaction, for HER fairytale view on things...and yes I hope that conflict-point is maintained rather than showing Nikumb giving in to the mush...I have severe allergy to cynic turned mushballs...what they have made of Rudra as well...dekha nahin jaata.

Nikumb is unpredictable in a refreshing way for me so far.

MR is really coming back kya? I saw a random article on IF home page- that he is going to be the new male lead in Saraswatichandra- really??? I have never seen it- but he had to come back to THAT-after the story must have been butchered beyond recognition I am sure? Isse toh achha ki voh apni gaadiyan hi chalwaaye!

Yaar- Nikumb ka hearbreak bhi hoga tabhi bhi he wont become this silent, brooding types- he will bounce back and deffo wont ever go- 'khoobsurat aurat kisi ki nahi hoti' way- he's too 'optimistic' of a person that way! Haan per hreatbreak toh pucca hoga uska- he knows it too that it might not work out- but still that 'zest' for pursuing it is his USP.

Yup- Hope Nikumb never goes the mushball way and it will be a lot of struggle for him to let go of his insecurities and world weariness to accept that he is in love! But 'idealism se pet nahi bharta in real life'- seen too many stories based on this theme!

This is essentially the core/central theme of the show too...a clash of ideologies, viewpoints.

If anyone, including Nikumb ever took Yamini for a lamb, they were mistaken...lol...she defended her viewpoint the first time she met him too even though she was battling her own insecurities back then...but now we have a much more confident Yamini empowered by Nikumb himself😆...(#irony) standing up to him and wanting her viewpoint heard and considered.


Yamini wants a happy ending...for the play as well as in life...

Nikumb doesn't believe in happy endings for love stories...his personal heartbreak no doubt coloring his viewpoint on this no matter how many examples he tries to give about tragic love stories being the epi ones.

It's basically Fairytale romanticism v/s harsh cynicism...

Yamini also is looking at market appeal...she believes a happy ending would make the play more successful since people love happy endings more than tragic ones.

But Nikumb has his directorial/creative vision for this play as well which he is unwilling to compromise to such an extent as to change the whole tone of the ending.

So they clash...lol...change never comes easy...especially for a man as stubborn and headstrong as Nikumb is...a man who clings to his ideologies more than anything else.

I found Azam and Shaheen's attempts to patch up Nikumb and Yamini quite amusing...especially given the way N and Y were trading barbs and muh phulaaoing at each other...lol...Gotta give it to Yamini...engaging in a battle of words with a writer? LOL that's a hard one to win but she never stops speaking her mind.


So looks like they will dance and patch up tomorrow and the play is almost here too! At long last!

Well MR ka comeback does seem likely...seems 75% confirmed as of now...knowing him, he must have taken this up on a lark aevein especially if it's a role of short term duration...anyways let's see...I will tune in initially atleast for the sake of getting to watch him onscreen again...but too many irritants in the show otherwise to jhelo.


Arey Nikumb ka heartbreak toh has ALREADY happened, dude...I was talking about AZAM ka heartbreak...Nikumb has gone through heartbreak, isiliye toh aisa hai...cynical and bitter...I guess it was typo...you meant to write Azam...lol yes he anticipates heartbreak from Shaheen somewhere but he's inherently optimistic and won't let bitterness take over like it did for Nikumb.

The dialogue department time and again gives Nikumb just the right kind of lines to stop him from falling into mushball category...hope that continues.

I would respect both their interpretations of the same story as it is their vision, but the way Yamini has changed the entire end is just not acceptable!
She finally speaks her mind now...but actions have to be thoughtful, especially when the show is SO important and his first step to success!

Hmm- I dont post - but I read- A LOT and PONDER even MORE!! And its not only IF- generally- blogs, other stuff- but i do get sucked in. And you can't imagine my ability to PONDER over things- I can like sit on my ass 24 hrs and do that!

I dont think even for MR I am going to watch that- all I know of Sararwaticandra is that it was supposed to based on the classic and it has KSG is bootifool biwi in it- bus thats it! Tum dekh kar bataana- then I will ff all other things and watch him only.

Well- I recently learnt that 'tabelas' are the hotspots in desi soap land for some 'eco-friendly, low-budget, quick-fix' heavy duty petting- if nothing else in working right! And I hope Baawre doesn't need to look for a 'tabela' in their vicinity for a very long time!
