@bold: Well they haven't danced YET😆...the epi ended on Shaheen and Azam putting NY on the spot by asking them to dance together...a slow dance btw😆...the whole epi was about the last day of rehearsals so a farewell party of sorts was going on and they were all casually dancing around anyways when Shaheen made this announcement...mainly to make them patch up cuz they were at loggerheads throughout the epi and that tension was carrying on to the rest of the group.
Both of them protested but ultimately Nikumb walked over to her and held out his hand to her...that's where they ended it.
I'm neutral on this debate...I feel both kinds of endings have their merit...not all endings have to be tragic...it depends on the creative vision of the person writing it...so in this case I do side with Nikumb...this is his vision for Shakuntala...it need not bow down to the generally candyfloss whims of the aam junta...that is the conflict for Nikumb...should he compromise on his artistic vision for the sake of being more marketable?
I'm presuming they will patch up tomorrow cuz the precap showed Nikumb giving a motivational speech in the dressing room and they were all in their play costumes.
Yep, Azam's adorable...lol quite a stretch for you though, Shalini...from Dutta to Rudra to AZAM😆
Shucks Man- I just wrote such a lamba chauda 'thought-provoking' reply- stressing my chota sa dimaag- and it just got lost 😡
@ Bold- bas no more angsty buoys for moi! They invariably get butchered and all the heartburn they give - I dont have it in me anymore to saho it! Ab only - 'NORMAL- HAPPY-GO-LUCKY' guys without the extra baggage of some kind of a 'dark past', mommy issues, heartbreaks etc. for me. Nikumbji- you dont make the cut- Sorry Sir!
Re the debate- I agree with Nikumb's vision and why not- he perceived the story his way- of course his personal experiences are clouding his writing too- but even without the baggage he carries somehow I don't see him writing 'happier' stories- deffo not for the market value but also coz of the kind of person he is- very much of a cynic and a realist! He can write proses but stories..hmmm...what we see around doesnt really inspire generally to write 'happy' things and I see this guy to be too idealistic, honest and realistic to pen down 'love conquered all and they lived happily ever after' kind of stuff somehow. But you never know- desi soap world main anything can happen- within days things can be butchered beyond redemption!
Yamini - I think more than for the market value, she wants a 'happy ending' for herself! She has sort of started subconsciously to identify herself with the heroine and wants that 'ending' for herself more than anything else! And I am scared that she just might do that- improvise at the end suddenly- much to Nikum's chagrin- but the play will gain a lot of 'waah waahi' from the junta and the critics coz of that and Nikumb will end up maha pissed with her. I hope it goes this way- this will keep the conflict very much alive.
Cant remember what else i wrote now- 😔
