@Tabela romance - I have no idea what that means, but it just made me laugh out loud! 🤣🤣🤣

I was even happier with the way it ended. It wasn't a compromise. Neither of them went back on their stand. But they will patch up. Because like Nikumbh said, it is not about being right or wrong. Sometimes you only need to have trust. And that it was ultimately about their friendship, their bond soaring through, in spite of the difference in their ideologies. It is not about changing each other. It will never be. The difference will always remain. But it is about acknowledging that difference and understanding each other. It is about holding out a hand even after you have screamed yourself hoarse, because it is only just a difference in perspective. I know they are going to come back and address the issues of his past. But I hope they let some of the things about him remain intact. He is the person who would never compromise on his vision to cater to an audience. Never.

And that is why I am sure there won't be any change in the play. At least not from Nikumbh's end. Though I am beginning to wonder if Yamini will do some last minute improvisation? If that happens, I can see major clashes in the future! 😆

SUPERLIKE to the bit in bold...beautifully said! Thank you for reminding me about that trust dialogue...forgot to mention it but I also absolutely loved it...yes that is the heart of the matter...it's not about who's right or wrong...this is a matter of trust...Nikumb wants Yamini to trust him on his vision...in his anger he may have shouted at her, scolded her...but ultimately the point remains that this is HIS vision...and I liked that he was open to ideas but what Yamini is suggesting is way too radical at a last minute stage...as you said, it is her naive beliefs that make her get so stubborn sometimes even in her optimism...

I also like that as the relationship evolves, they both affect each other, bring about changes in each other without fundamentally trying to change each other...which is what any good relationship is all about...I like that they are trekking through the path full on rather than rushing into overnight change of hearts or love or whatever.

So yes, even I don't think that the ending will be changed...but some sort of compromise might be reached...maybe Nikumb will be successful in making her see what his vision is...or maybe Yamini will rebel last minute and try to change the ending on stage as an improvisation as you said...which will definitely lead to a big rift b/w them...even NM's narration today hinted at that...as if NY's relationship isn't threatened enough by Raghu already, they both have their own personalities enough to create clashes over...lol...but those are the best kind of clashes...unlike the usually contrived scenarios on TV.

As much as I enjoyed watching the clash, it was the trust dialogue that I really loved. Exactly. He wants her to simply trust him and his interpretation of the play and believe that it will connect with the audience. A word about the dialogues. The writing department is doing outstanding. The characters are always given great dialogues.

Exactly...the trust dialogue was where things really picked up...also cuz the trust dialogue was thrown in the middle of what was essentially an indirect taunting session going on b/w them...especially sharp taunts from Nikumb's side😆...the writing department definitely is doing a great job with dialogues especially...it helps probably that they aren't working on last minute deadlines and have a 2-3 week headstart on the telecast date of each epi...so they are able to put together more quality work.

It also struck me today that the creation is now stepping outside the boundaries of her creator😆...she is Nikumb's creation in a sense but now she is testing her wings and ready to fly on her own😆

Great observation and that is sort of what came out Nikumbh's mouth too, at the height of their face off.."I made you, do not teach me"!!

The conversation was idealism mixed with realism with a dash of cynicism thrown in 😃 - overall very intriguing. I empathized with both their view points - as fairytale/cliched "happily ever after" is, Yamini had a point in the overall public appeal of the play. Nikumbh on the other hand besides being questioned on his vision also saw Yamini's view point as a manifestation of what he has always been battling - honest theater vs commercial sold out entertainment.

I also see the same thing playing out when Yamini finally realizes that she has fallen head over heels with Nikumbh, her textbook perceptions of romance coming to the forefront..she is in for some tough times as I can see Nikumbh holding back having already been burnt once treading down that path. But that is for another day.. this friendship/trust stage is nice to watch and I would like it to move the same measured pace it has so far.😃

They did not linger on the scene that ended yesterday, bummer!!
😕

Thanks!

What was the ending scene from yesterday, again? Where Yamini walks over to Nikumb away from Raghu? I can't seem to recall.

Re: the bit after Yamini realizes that she has fallen for Nikumb...yes she's deffo in for a tough time...Nikumb is a very tough cookie😆...and not in the stereotypical ways the male leads are on TV...he's a cynic but then he will do things like suddenly admitting that she is his friend...just when you least expect it, Nikumb surprises you with a softer side to him...so the battle b/w his cynical/bitter side and the side that invariably has started to get drawn to Yamini...that battle is intriguing.

I really like how casual they are right now about their friendship without going into obvious eyelocks or making a big deal over hugs or casual physical touches...the friendship is natural even as there is the notable undercurrent of something more.

*Edit: I love these kind of interactions b/w them...the way he says Sorry with a goofy smile and shrug and expects her to just let it go instantly😆

LOL 4 months is a long time...aaj kal toh shows ka kuch pataa nahin chaltaa...but yeah let's see if Baawre holds up...Mr. Sharma (Producer Sharma, not Nikumb Sharma) ka previous track record in NBT was 4 months only...lol...uske baad show started going downhill so yeah 4 months tak last kar hi jaayega I guess.

haha@ no logic devotees of Diva...I thought usko Doll bolte hain...didn't know Diva bhi ek term hai...

Dexy must have gone back to watching her first love...Dexter😆...I don't think Baawre is her kind of show.

Both of them protested but ultimately Nikumb walked over to her and held out his hand to her...that's where they ended it.

I'm neutral on this debate...I feel both kinds of endings have their merit...not all endings have to be tragic...it depends on the creative vision of the person writing it...so in this case I do side with Nikumb...this is his vision for Shakuntala...it need not bow down to the generally candyfloss whims of the aam junta...that is the conflict for Nikumb...should he compromise on his artistic vision for the sake of being more marketable?

I'm presuming they will patch up tomorrow cuz the precap showed Nikumb giving a motivational speech in the dressing room and they were all in their play costumes.

Yep, Azam's adorable...lol quite a stretch for you though, Shalini...from Dutta to Rudra to AZAM😆

Shucks Man- I just wrote such a lamba chauda 'thought-provoking' reply- stressing my chota sa dimaag- and it just got lost 😡

@ Bold- bas no more angsty buoys for moi! They invariably get butchered and all the heartburn they give - I dont have it in me anymore to saho it! Ab only - 'NORMAL- HAPPY-GO-LUCKY' guys without the extra baggage of some kind of a 'dark past', mommy issues, heartbreaks etc. for me. Nikumbji- you dont make the cut- Sorry Sir!

Re the debate- I agree with Nikumb's vision and why not- he perceived the story his way- of course his personal experiences are clouding his writing too- but even without the baggage he carries somehow I don't see him writing 'happier' stories- deffo not for the market value but also coz of the kind of person he is- very much of a cynic and a realist! He can write proses but stories..hmmm...what we see around doesnt really inspire generally to write 'happy' things and I see this guy to be too idealistic, honest and realistic to pen down 'love conquered all and they lived happily ever after' kind of stuff somehow. But you never know- desi soap world main anything can happen- within days things can be butchered beyond redemption!
Yamini - I think more than for the market value, she wants a 'happy ending' for herself! She has sort of started subconsciously to identify herself with the heroine and wants that 'ending' for herself more than anything else! And I am scared that she just might do that- improvise at the end suddenly- much to Nikum's chagrin- but the play will gain a lot of 'waah waahi' from the junta and the critics coz of that and Nikumb will end up maha pissed with her. I hope it goes this way- this will keep the conflict very much alive.

Cant remember what else i wrote now- 😔

And you LoveToLaugh anyways😃

Well- I recently learnt that 'tabelas' are the hotspots in desi soap land for some 'eco-friendly, low-budget, quick-fix' heavy duty petting- if nothing else in working right! And I hope Baawre doesn't need to look for a 'tabela' in their vicinity for a very long time!

Shreya- dont remind me of the 'gaga-in-love-main-hosh-kho-baitha-my-biwi's-wish- is-my-command' hero
Zakhm abhi bhare hani hain poori tarah. No-logic devotees dont get to me as much as what they did to HIM- SIGH! Tabhi toh- I am staying clear from all angsty types from now on!
