Backtracking to the first scene where Yamini was asking Nikumb if he came for her. I liked his hesitation. He could not say he did not because it was untrue and yet something held him back in admitting he came for her. I liked his saying he came for his promise and the unspoken "to her" that might have fit in at the end of that sentence. I also liked Yamini's innocent delight that she was accurate in her assessment of him that he would keep his promise.
WORD...I love that you've pointed this out...that hesitation and the admittance was interesting to me for exactly this reason...he didn't say it directly but that "promise TO HER" hung unspoken at the end of the sentence and they both knew it...hence the smiles after that...beautifully conceived and executed bit.
