Some nice moments b/w NY today...I'm gonna focus on those rather than the pathetic Raghu crap...

1) The first NY scene where Yamini asks Nikumb if he showed up for Shaheen, he says no...if he showed up for Azam, he says no again...I loved the look in his eyes here as he's looking at Yamini...and then when she asks him if he came for her, he takes that ever so significant pause before he says no, he came for the PROMISE😆...and Azam standing on the side rolling his eyes at the two of them just smiling away at each other😆...he's deffo trying to kickstart their lowe story given the way he he pushed Nikumb to fall onto Yamini later on.

2) Yamini has become so free with Nikumb now...openly critiquing his jhalla clothing style...haha...btw I think he dresses fine in general...those kurtas are nice...and I liked the bit where Nikumb asks her " toh aaj kitne kam bure lag rahe hain hum?"...cute dialogues and convo there...the conversation b/w them continues to be so natural :-)

3) The poetry recitation from Mr. Nikumb Sharma...titled "Shaadi ka laddoo"😆...I loved this bit...so naturally done...you just don't get to see this kind of simplicity on TV anymore...all shaadi functions are shown in such a loud and GARISH way...not just on TV but in reality in many ways too sadly...but for once we got to see a POETRY recitation...with Nikumb's tongue in cheek comments about shaadi and pyar ka fandaa😆...the way he so easily side-steps all the teasing about when he will get married...lol...and I loved the way the scene just flowed so naturally into Nikumb inviting Yamini on stage to sing...no big lead up...just done so easily and that is what made it so pleasant and significant for me...and I liked the song they chose for Yamini to sing too...very apt for NY..."Yeh...tumhari meri baatein"...and the sweet way in which they are growing closer...

4) LOL@ the bit where Nikumb teases Yamini about her getting married off to the shehnaayi wala...Yamini gave him such a withering look in response😆...they are growing so easy with teasing each other.

5) By the way this must be the first time Nikumb has praised Yamini's singing to her face😆...there was ofcourse that time he first got mesmerized by her singing in the haveli first time but he maintains his derision for her brand of singing in general😆...today was a much more mellowed version of him...feeling very generous seeing as she's his friend now😆...or was he just wanting to put her on the spot like he was with the request for poetry?😆...cuz later on he was again cracking jokes about how she sang bad😆...all good-natured friendly teasing today.

Raghu was absolutely psychotic in the last bit...pathetic behavior beating up that poor waiter...so epi ended on a sour note...what was interesting to note was the bit where Nikumb sees Yamini being dragged away by her father...the look exchanged b/w them there was interesting.

Precap: Yamini-Nikumb on scooter ride? Or is it a bike ride? Scooter kahaan se aaya Nikumb ke paas?😆...Raghu fuming as usual.

Thanks! So far I don't think they are rushing into the love story...the development of their relationship has been surprisingly natural even as they both subconsciously acknowledge the pull towards each other from time to time.

It was a lovely episode. The slow growth of their friendship is so nice to see. I like that the "something more " in their friendship is so subtle. So it can be done without catch and fall scenes and prolonged eyelocks. 😉
The look when Yamini was being dragged off was indeed interesting. Would really like your opinion as to the meaning of that look.

@bold: Same here😆

Re: that last look exchanged...I think first ofcourse there was unhappiness, along with that I feel like that moment of parting hit them both harder than they had probably expected...and it was their eyes that communicated that sadness and pain at being seperated like this rather than any lengthy monologues.

Wonderful write up as always. Loved the continuation of their conversations at the front door. My favourite parts were what you pointed out already...Y asking N who did you come for...Azam? Shaheen? The unbelieving tone she gets when she asks humare liye? He pauses to think about why he came...it was for the promise he made...even better!
their easiness in conversation with each other is wonderful to see. Kitne Kam bure lag rahe hai...loved this line.

Not sure about the poem or the words of the song. But the singers voice was a much better match Vinita.

I wish we could have gotten a Ragu free episode with Ragu in the precap for Monday instead. But I guess we have all weekend to look forward to the scooter ride. It looked amazing! The sweetness and simplicity of a scooter ride... Ahhh to be young and go on a scooter with a boy! I am getting goosebumps.

@peachesandcream ... Amen sister...I hope we get a mature progression without all that stuff.

@anu forgot about the last look. And both N & Y had that look on their faces. They were not done with each other..their conversation was not finished yet...didn't get to have that ice cream! There wasRaghu dragging her away like his personal toy that only he is allowed to touch. No one can get their grubby hands on her...no waiter no director no nobody. Ugh!

Wait are you saying you didn't understand the poem or the words of the song or that you didn't like both of them? I liked the poem...it was simple yet cute in nature...and if the intention was ki "ek samaa bandh jaaye", that was totally fulfilled with this poem.

Re: singer's voice matching Vinita better...yeah that I agree with too...unlike the other random songs they made her sing in the early weeks of the show...plus the song lyrics suited NY.

I guess it's too much to expect a Raghu-free episode...lol if only we could be that lucky...yeah scooter ride scene looks like it will be fun...I like how Nikumb and Yamini don't let the Raghu nonsense bog down their budding friendship and are just enjoying each other's company...I wonder what brought about the scooter ride though...and where Nikumb is taking her...😆

An unfinished conversation...perfect way to put it! That was exactly it...they weren't done with each other...she was dragged away from him in the middle of a conversation it felt...there was the ice-cream as well...lol...and when something is ABRUPTLY snatched from you, that is the feeling.

Raghu does indeed treat Yamini like his personal toy...he makes protectiveness look ugly.

@Shell16, @AreYaar, nice explanations of the last look. Unfinished business is the perfect way to put it. The realization hit them both at the same time and was unexpected.

Backtracking to the first scene where Yamini was asking Nikumb if he came for her. I liked his hesitation. He could not say he did not because it was untrue and yet something held him back in admitting he came for her. I liked his saying he came for his promise and the unspoken "to her" that might have fit in at the end of that sentence. I also liked Yamini's innocent delight that she was accurate in her assessment of him that he would keep his promise.
