Hey guys, here's a short scene I'd like to see - not much scope of seeing this on TV but I wanted to pen my imagination! Lmk what you guys think! This is my first KuVan OS ..though I've written many for other shows I've enjoyed in the past!
The Kiss and Beyond
The echoes of Kunal and Vandana's divorce reverberated through their lives, casting long shadows over their individual paths. While the legal formalities had been concluded, the emotional scars remained fresh and raw. Seeking solace in their work, they poured their energies into Kanak Records, propelling the company to unprecedented heights.
Kunal, in particular, seemed to throw himself entirely into his work, his dedication bordering on obsession. He sought refuge in the familiar rhythm of the music industry, the creative process providing a temporary escape from his tumultuous personal life. He distanced himself from Vandana, as the fear and heartbreak of any new relationship was too much for him to bear. He also forbade her from having anything to do with his daughter, Tara.
Vandana, too, found solace in her work, the world of music offering a familiar comfort. Apart from working for Kanak Records, she began composing and singing her own songs. She poured her heart and soul into her compositions, her melodies infused with the bittersweet emotions of her separation. Yet, beneath the surface of her success, a profound sense of loss lingered. She missed the connection she had shared with Tara, the bond that had anchored her through the darkest of times.
The success of Kanak Records catapulted Vandana and Kunal onto the international stage, earning them an invitation to a prestigious music conference. Despite their personal reservations, Vandana and Kunal recognized the significance of this international opportunity for Kanak Records. They understood that their professional reputations and the company's future were at stake. With a sense of duty and determination, they resolved to put aside their differences and present a united front during the conference. They decided to ignore what people commented or thought about their togetherness and left with a determination to bring even more glory to Kanak Records.

The office conference was over, and Vandana, a bit tipsy from the evening's social gathering, found herself in the hotel lobby, her mind a jumbled mess of thoughts and emotions. She had always been a controlled individual, but the alcohol had loosened her inhibitions, bringing to the surface a torrent of self-criticism and insecurities that she had long kept hidden. She noticed that the man who was trying to make advances toward another woman a while ago, was sitting at a table proposing to a different girl who seemed to be very elated. Vandana could see another dishonest marriage in the making and in her drunken state lashed out at the man. The hotel staff, who had witnessed the scene from a distance, rushed to Vandana's side, concerned by her state. They contacted Kunal who they knew was with her, who arrived moments later, his face etched with worry.
As he gently guided Vandana away from the lobby and towards their room, he couldn't help but notice the vulnerability that shimmered in her eyes, a stark contrast to her usual poise. The alcohol had stripped away her defenses, revealing the woman behind the façade, a woman wounded by love and seeking solace in the fleeting escape of intoxication.
Kunal, despite his own unresolved feelings towards Vandana, couldn't ignore the pain that radiated from her. He offered a silent support, a presence in her moment of vulnerability, a reminder that she was not alone in her struggles. He led her to her room, took her keycard from her bag and opened the door. Vandana, who was still in a state of intoxication, laid bare her feelings. She asked Kunal if he also thought that she didn't look pretty, if she was too old to get married. If she was not sexy enough for any man. She started undressing herself while asking Kunal if she was not pretty enough. She asked him if only a woman's looks and age are what make her worthy to a man.
Kunal, who found himself without his knowledge feeling an attraction toward her, tried his best to calm Vandana. He stopped her from undressing herself. He shook her and asked "Are you alright, Vandana. You don't know what you are doing. Just lie down and try to get some sleep and you will be through this tomorrow"
Vandana looked up at him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "No, Kunal," she confessed, her voice trembling. "I'm not alright."
Kunal listened patiently as Vandana poured out her heart, her words a torrent of self-doubt and regret. She spoke of her failed marriage, her feelings of inadequacy as a woman who can't bear kids, and her fear of loneliness. Kunal listened attentively, offering words of comfort and support. He hadn't known she couldn't bear kids . He realized how keeping Tara away from her had really torn Vandana apart even more and how wrong he had been.
As the night wore on, Vandana's drunken state intensified, and her emotions became increasingly raw and unfiltered. She found herself leaning into Kunal's comforting presence, his warmth and understanding a balm to her troubled soul. After all, who could understand her better than someone who had been through the same situations in life. He let her go on and pour out her heart, while he held her close.
Vandana kept speaking her heart out, and asking Kunal every so often why she wasn't wanted. Kunal related to her vulnerabilities as he had felt the same when his wife, Sonia, had cheated on him. All he had wanted then, was for someone to hug him and hold him and tell him that he was going to be OK. Now, he was being that someone for Vandana, his tears showing no restraint either. Vandana leaned in to him and in a moment of unexpected intimacy and physical proximity, her lips met Kunal's in a tender kiss. It was a kiss born of shared vulnerability, a connection forged in the depths of their shared humanity and suffering.
The kiss was brief, as Kunal who had complied in a moment of his own weakness realized that Vandana was drunk and was in no state to consent to or give in to what she was getting herself into. The kiss however left an indelible mark on both of them. As they parted, their eyes met, and a silent understanding passed between them. Though Vandana was drunk, she seemed to have realized what had just happened. Kunal laid her down on the bed and offered her some water. Vandana fell asleep and Kunal tucked her in and laid down on the couch in the other room of Vandana's suite, his mind focused on the kiss.
The next morning, Vandana's fragmented memories of the previous night brought no regrets to her. The kiss, though brief and impulsive, had sparked a connection that resonated with both of them. She brewed some coffee, her head still pounding from the intoxication but her mind clear. She woke Kunal up and thanked him for being there for her. At first, Kunal's eyes avoided hers - he wasn't sure if she remembered what passed between them - however brief it may have been, it had left him unsure and yet wanting more. Vandana, as if understanding what Kunal was thinking and feeling, leaned closer to him and wrapped him in a hug, thanking him once again. Kunal held Vandana with both hands and looked into her eyes this time. He leaned toward her as if to plant a kiss and she obliged, moving closer until their lips met again.
This time, their kiss was not a fleeting moment of passion fueled by alcohol and weakness. It was a conscious choice, a deliberate expression of the feelings that had been simmering beneath the surface. As their lips intertwined, the intensity of their passion grew, their emotions intertwining like threads in a tapestry.
Amidst the heat of their embrace, and breaking from the kiss, Kunal whispered words in Vandana's ears, "You are the most beautiful woman in the world. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." These words, spoken with conviction and sincerity, shattered any lingering doubts about her own worth. They were a balm to her soul, a validation of her beauty that resonated deep within her.
They locked lips again and their kiss intensified, their bodies moving in perfect harmony, each movement a testament to their growing desire. The boundaries between them dissolved, replaced by an unbreakable connection that transcended physical intimacy. In that moment, they were one, their souls intertwined, their hearts beating in unison as they slowly began to undress each other. Kunal gently carried Vandana to the bed and draped the comforter over them. Time stood still while the two of them gently caressed and enjoyed their physical and emotional intimacy. Two consenting adults who didn't realize how much they mean to each other and how much they need each other could not get their hands off of each other. What would happen next, they couldn't say. But for now, in the quiet moments of the early morning, they found solace in the unexpected connection that had blossomed between them.
