Amit Verma, who last seen in Kittu Sab Janti Hai, is making his entry in Baa Bahu Aur Baby as the romantic lead.
Talking about his role, Amit says, "I am playing a painter Birju and am paired opposite Baby. It is a very charming character but he is a very quiet guy who believes in expressing rather than talking about things. It is very interesting and different from the ones I played in Hotel Kingston, Khichdi and Kittu."
On working with Hats Off Production again, he says, "I entered the industry through this production house so I always wanted to work with them. In between they offered me many roles but I could not do those because of my other commitments. When they asked me for this role and narrated the script I immediately said yes because I was free from all commitments."
Meanwhile, Amit will also be seen in Aziz Mirza directed Kismet Connection starring Shahid Kapur and Vidya Balan. "I am playing a very substantial character in the movie. We shot for the film in Toronto for three months and have almost completed the film barring a few scenes," says Amit about the film.
So how was the experience working with Vidya and Shahid? "They are great and very professional actors. Both knew that I am new in films and co-operated with me a lot. The film is releasing next year. Before this, I had done a film titled Detective Nani but I think this will release first so you can say that I will be debuting in Bollywood with it," he signs off.
