Hypocrite Arjun

He can do raasleela with 4 women who are his wives but he has the audacity to insult Chitraganda and abandon her even on doubt of her cheating on him. Even if she actually cheated on him he should be the last person to point it out as he too had 3 wives apart from her. Now some will say it was different era and it was common. Yes it was but jo galat hai vo hai. Yes Draupadi had 5 husbands but she was insulted and even called vaishya for it. Also she had terms and conditions for it like every year she would spend with only 1 husband and before shifting to another husband next year she had do some purification process to retain her virignity. Did Arjun too had these terms and conditions? No. What he did to Chitrangada was so bad. But she brought it on herself. Who told her to marry a twice married man?(Subhadra was 4th) She had a better life as a boy being warrior and protecting her kingdom like any son would do. But after marrying, her life changed for worst.

I haven't heard this story of Arjun accusing Chitrangada of that...could you please elaborate this? 😳

It was shown in Mahabharat spin-off Mahabharat Katha. I watched on Epic. All episodes are on You Tube.

Ulupi conspired against Chitra to prove her cheater. Arjun saw a man leaving Chitra room from window when Chitra was sleeping and accused her of cheating on him and even carrying another man's baby.

I don't think that's in any scripture version. I checked KMG and Kasiram, there isn't any mention of this. Kasiram is known for demeaning the female chacters, but even he doesn't mention this.

I would love to read, if you get a text/article that says this. I'll also check out the MB Katha (which epi was this)?

It was somewhere between 36th and 40th episode. I don't think any woman was demeaned. What Ulupi did was jealousy. Who can share a husband? Only Arjun was culprit here.

And I am clearly not justifying him, based on this particular story.

I just highly doubt this ever, ever happened. And I've heard some not-so-pretty stories about that show. I doubt it has much credibility, it runs more or less on folklore.

Not justifying Arjun he should have verified before accusing but you can't compare marriage with adultery

Arjun might have loved 4 women and married them but he never went into their rooms till they weren't married, his intentions were love n marriage

had Chitrangada actually been involved in the act of someone entering her room in such manner, this would have been adultery.

Arjun could have been judgemental here but this isn't an act of hypocrisy

From what I have read, Arjun never loved Ulupi, Ulupi loved him and he agreed for the marriage, but with Chitrangada the case was different, he wanted to marry her, he actually loved her.

He wanted to take Chitrangada to Hastinapur despite his promise to Draupadi, but Chitrangada was the crown Princess and didn't want to leave her state and go away from it.
