Settings do play a role, IMO, as they do make a little difference to the outcome but the coloring is the key. Color your gif based on the scene you're working on and remember that if the coloring worked well on one scene, the same might not work well on another scene. And like Naz said, use as much as less of yellow in your coloring. If you want a detailed explanation, go through previous pages where Naz, Zaara, Abhishek and I had a lengthy discussion on gif-ing. I don't remember exactly but I think it starts from page 25 onwards.

^^ That try. Most people either go for pattern or diffusion.

I do not think too much yellow causes noise. This GIF I made had soo much yellow, and above all I sharpened it but still no noise.

There should be another explanation, no? 🤔

That's one pretty gif! Crisp and clear. Honestly, this baffles me too. I have come across many gifs that are colored heavily and yet they don't have any sort of grain on them (mostly gifs on tumblr) and when I try to color my gif that way, it just ruins it so bad. 😳

Maybe it's becoz the PSD I usewas made specially for the GIFs? 😕

I think noise is bcoz the quality of the source(vid, image) is less. In some cases, the size of gif can cause this noise effect.

@ ..Lunatic.Lover : I think more than quality, size matters. There's a member who upload SwaSan short scenes in the forum. The VID's quality is not that good(HQ/HD) but the GIFs came out pretty well. It's really confusing with GIF making. 😕

See this...It has so much noise.

But when I reduce the size, the noise disappears.

So, size matters. But the video quality matters the most. If it's HD then the gif will come out the best.

And from my ' personal experience', if I've too much of yellow in my gif, then it will turn out fine than having lots of colors. I think sharpening spoils it.
