I don't think there is texture used..

Its dither setting..

or the texture could be grunge

There have been Dark Texture used... It must be LIGHTEN and opacitiy maybe 60 to 70%. I have uploaded some Dark Textures.. try these or search on Deviantart.com for dark textures.
