Tutorial: How to increase/change the number of Undos you can do in Photoshop

So this is a problem almost every photoshopper comes across at some point of time while photoshhoping The default number of undos one can do in photoshop are 20 which is very less especially if one is doing extensive editing or experimenting with a lot of stuff. This tutorial will teach you how to increase the number of undos you can do and it is very easy.

1) Open photoshop. Goto Edit > Preferences > Performance OR you can even press Ctrl + K to open the Preferences window and choose Performance for the left side bar.

2) Check for the History and Cache section and find the history states option. It might generally be set to 20. Now fill any number it according to your wish. You can go upto a maximum of 1000 history states. Now you are not gonna need that much right 😆 You could keep it around 200 but it depends on your needs.

3) Set the number and click on OK. Voila you're done 😆
