It said Feather selection 15.I did that in the beginning but now I have it around 50 so that pic looks good on the texture.Work around and see which works better for u.

Select the part u want with selection too and just press SHIFT + h or adjust>hue and saturation>hue/saturation/lightness and set it to -100 saturation and 2 lightness. that makes it black and white...
