I don't think there is any provision to save files unoptimized but to get a better result after optimization check this link for a tutorial which might help you:

Perhaps you can use AS3 for this purpose. Select the pics you want to use in the slideshow and the signature you want to include 'em in.Duplicate the sig to number of pics present.Later copy each pic and select one frame and paste the pic into that frame(use ctrl+E).After posting all the pics in the sig go to frame properties and adjust the desired delay time.
