Even though it appears to be extreme to show astha being kidnapped etc.. I think this storyline was actually more about showing Abhi and Simran reunite as parents.. comforting one another in a time of grief.. Nehas death couldnt really bring them together could it.. the shock of a tragedy like this brings us closer to our loved ones.

Also simrans father has to understand abhi's pain etc.

ya, the astha kidnap was plotted just to unite or bring together Simran and Abhi. I think Saurabh will now understand the bonding of Abhi and Simran.

For some reason I always thought that abhi and simiran would never marry.However, with the current turn in events, it looks like they may unite(marry?) to bring up gudiya as Astha.
