Hey Rajini , i'm so comfortable with you guys now . Initially i was wary about revealing my name , identity , picture etc etc . Once i got to make friends and my comfortable level increased . I thought i'd like to be known as me and not some one anonymous in the cyber world.😊
Also when i update for the forum , i like to feel good and know its "Aparna" doing the updates.😊

I look fun loving ???😳😳 How shweet !! Thats a nice compliment . I always used to look very grumpy in all my photos , and my hubby used to bug me about it . Now , i have the famous fake laugh thats reserved for photographs !! And viola , it looks natural !!😆

I used to volunteer at the Friendicose.seca in Delhi( a shelter) and did some volunteering with US Humane Society shelter for animals . That is very well put, aparna...I completely agree with you. I adopted all my dogs through SPCA (except one that i rescued from a friend's house when she couldnt care for it). I wonder how you could volunteer though?

I mean in the sense that i feel soooooo bad for the poor animals that get left behind that even when i went to get my dogs i was in tears...i dont know if i could work there. HOwever, interestingly enough, i volunteered at a pre-school day-care center and later at an elementary school (coz u taught KG) 😃. Hmm...we are very similar...😃

I started to volunteer my time there , but was so distressed by the daily stories and the sad look on hundreds of animals at the shelter that i became passive . 😔 Now i rather do some other active volunteer work that doesn't affect me deeply emotionally that it depresses me.

Now i donate my money to them as well as help out online .😛 I am a member of their newsletter from USHS(United States Humane Society) .

They are often asking you to support a cause by calling your senator in the city or through donation . Example - during Katrina , i gave donation for the rescue of animals when i got a request. Then they were fighting against a bill that would pass horse slaughter .( i needed to give my support by calling my senator .....so i did), also clubbing of baby seals in Canada pressure was being put International ..i lent my support by sending an e-mail, dog -hog fighting etc etc !! They are always doing things . You can voluntter online if you really want to !! Well i hope you do !!😊
