Sigh..I have seen that happen with me (I am not a Scorpio butrather sensitive)and other close people too..

Pallavi its really good to know that u know a lot about scorpions and interested in astrology. 😃

So, what are the books you like to read? I mean what are some of your favourite books and authors?

To be very honest I don't have any particular favourite author , whichever book I find interesting is the favourite for the time being :) My all time favourite book is "Nahjul Balagha" written by Hazrat Ali(our first Imam) its a religious book and always give me strength, makes my belief stronger...I 've quite a few favourite authors from my country, you may be unfamiliar with them....I like to read books on Astrology, Yoga ,chinese methods of treatment like Acupuncture, Acupressure etc. I like to read poetry too. My all time favourite book is "Khushboo" by Parveen Shakir.

Which place in Pakistan are you originally from?

My birthplace in Pakistan is Multan but raised and got education in Karachi...After marriage we moved to Saud Arabia where we spent 15 precious years....Then we moved to USA,lived there for 3 years and finally settled down in Canada 😊

One of my closestfriend too is a scorpio and she is someone I shall always look up to in my life. She is an example in courage, determination, optimism and kindness.

Thank you so much Minnie for this understanding of my star sign and I totally agree with you as I've mentioned earlier I have a scorpion life partner and I wish that every girl could have a life partner like him....As you said about scorpion friends, I have a few friends only but I am always there for them whenever they need me, scorpions are loyal and sincere with friends, with every relationship rather! .... I am sure with the qualities of the star sign it depends on the upbringing of the parents too.The only thing I don't like about my star is its extra over sensitivity... 😛

OK, my questions:

1) When did you move in to Canada?

I moved here in January 2003...

2) How different is life in Canada from Pakistan?

Unfortunately I never got chance to spend my life in my country. Just after marriage I moved to Saudi Arabia..I actually started my practical life after marrige there..so, when I compare life in Canada from Pakistan then I must say that life is easier, peaceful and safe here and also children have so many other opportunities to be qualified in their favourite fields.
Ppl used to call Saudi Arabia "heaven for the women" as every woman has to stay at home & have no worries about jobs and its responsibilities. whereas in Canada you have to share every responsibility with ur husband- which isnt really a bad thing because I think this way you can get a lot of self confidence.. 😃

3) What part of Pakistan are you from? What language do you speak?

I was born in Multan but raised up in Karachi. And my mother language is Urdu which is almost the same as hindi 😊

4) Did your kids grow up completely in Canada? If so, how did you manage to balance out between the two such conflicting culture while imbibing values to your kids? I am asking this because I have seen a few kids who are completely unable to identify themselves to the Indian or Pakistani culture and some who are so much into the culture that it's alomost an amazement to know they grew up abroad...

It would have been very difficult for me to raise my children in this country(Canada), fortunately I raised them up in saudi arabia, where they attended a Pakistani school - in which they were in touch with the people of their culture and with their religion. When they came over here, they were all at an age where they knew what was right or wrong, which is why they didnt forget their culture or customs that I had taught them.

5) When you started to watch Astitva, what was it that attracted you towards it ?

I started watching Astitva just after the separation of Simran and Abhi. The reason to get attracted was the unusual story - mostly the relationship that Simran had with the people around her, and how those relationships developed. Also, the storyline was different than all the other serials because usually directors follow the same typical type of storyline.

I will come back with more ...😃

Sure Minnie I'll be waiting for them ,its really my pleasure 😊

I have a small request...can you please please format your answers in different color when u answer..it makes quite easier to read & identify the answers....I hope its ok and u dont mind.... 😳 😊

😊 I already format them as per the request of innocentindian....sorry guys for the inconvenience 😳

My questions:
I am always interested to know about culture & social life in Pakistan!..how was it growing up there? How was your life with neighbours, friends there?

[B}"Jaisa des hai tera, waisa des hai mera" 😊 - that's the first thing that should come in your mind when thinking about the life in Pakistan, it's almost the same as Indian life. The only difference is, the religion. We follow our life according to Islam. It was great growing up in Pakistan - with friendly people in the neighbourhood, with all my relatives who were sincere to me in everyway possible. The friends that I've made in Pakistan were some that I could never find anywhere else.

How is your social life in Canada? do you like more in Pakistan or Canada?

One of the depressing thing about the life in Canada is that you loose ur social life specially if u r working, as well as taking care of a family....In Pakistan or India ppl still enjoy social life along with the professional life and never complain whereas here u have to share a very formal life with others...If the person happens to be like me i.e: very unsocial 😃 then its fine otherwise we will feel very alone by ourselves.

Do you keep fasting during ID?

Wherever we live or go, its compulsory in our religion to fast in the month of Ramazan..and by the grace of God every year me and my children keep fast in this holy month

What is your favourite pass time?

My favourite pass time is watching TV and reading some informative and interesting articles on internet... and also whenever I have some spare time, I cook some of my family's favourite dishes. 😃

Hi Rubina, Yes, I have been interested in Astrology right from my childhood and liked reading Linda Goodman's books a lot!

BTW, I completely agree with what you said about life in Pakistan and Canada. I feel the same difference between social life in New York and India! I too certainly miss out on the social life in India as many Indians here (not all but quite a few) are so formal and the environment in social gatherings is so different here..

Yes, I am not too familiar with Pakistani writers as I am not too familiar with Urdu (though I understand it a little as I know Hindi well) but I have some Muslim friends and have heard them talk to their families and it is a very sweet sounding language to me. I have also heard that Urdu literature is very rich!

What is your actual field of work? You said you gave up your work in a travel agency and switched to your original field so was wondering what your original field of work is?

Do you enjoy working in a bank? What has your experience been with customers in general? Do you often get impatient or rude customers? I know it can be sometimes tough dealing with rude customers and keeping your patience so I was wondering what you think is the best approach to deal with that?😃

Pleasure is mine Minnie 😊

A few more

1) I suppose you had an arranged marraige. how did it become fixed? Was it love at first sight for you or were U scared? When and how did you first meet your husband?

😊 It was purely an arranged marriage….my husband is the choice of my father actually and I first saw my husband after the proposal had been accepted….I know it sounds very strange now, but I was very confident about my father's choice 😊

2) What have you studied?

I got married when I was just 17 and was in my 12th grade, I completed my graduation after marriage….In Saudi Arabia I was totally and completely a housewife but after moving to USA, I studied A+ certification and MCP( computer Technician)

3) What made you move to Canada from Saudi Arabia? It hasn't been long, so do you still miss SA ?

My children's education was the main reason for moving because in Saudi Arabia they don't have enough facilities to provide higher university level education and then we had to take a descision on either sending the kids abroad or the whole family moving…..I preferred to be with my children

4) Did you work in Saudi Arabia? If not, then how do you find working now and how did you adapt to this ?

Actually I did'nt get a chance because children needed me at that time, there was nobody to take care of my kids if I would have worked….but I really enjoyed being a full time housewife 😃

5) Who are you more close to, your daughter or your sons?

I am close to all 3 of them, all of them share their secrets and each and every matter with me……my husband has a reserved type of nature and that is why my kids are closer to me than to him

I can understand Sree 😊 one of the reason for posting my answers late is the weekend as my children are home and never give me chance to use any of the computers 😃

Nice to know about your kids!!!Can we know their names?

Elder one is Zohaib( its an Arabic name meaning golden ,shining or bright) , second one is Jahanzeb (it's a Persian name meaning beauty of the world) and daughter is Nada (this is also an arabic name meaning Dew or what we call"shabnam"… 😊

You resemble me, when you said, your first priority is family and not profession. If at all, you were given an option to work, what has been your dream job? Why?

I always wanted to be in a profession related to medicine but never got a chance to qualify in that field 😔 (but no cmplains) now I am more interested in work which would give me a chance to communicate with ppl ( as in customer service) I love to solve people's problems and complaints… 😊

How did you celebrate Eid ... Explain...

We always try to celebrate our religious occasions according to our culture but in this country its very difficult to celebrate in the same manner as ppl celebrate in Pakistan…On that day, as always, my husband and sons went for Eid prayers and in the mean time I cooked some special foods for them….in the evening I had invited some families for dinner so I enjoyed cooking and making arrangements for the party all day long…..the next day other families invited us so we went there and enjoyed… 😊

Which is your favourite Kishore Kumar song? I also love his voice and songs...

I don't have one particular favourite, I like quite a few of his songs. Some of them are " meri bheegi bheegi si", "mera jeevan kora kaghaz" " pal pal dil ke paas" "sagar kinarey dil yeh pukarey" ….it's a long list 😊 I always enjoy listening to his songs

Do you like watching old hindi movies or the new ones?
I love to watch some of the old hindi movies like "khamoshi", "Guide" …..I love to watch art movies with different type of stories and topics like in "Swades"

Do you watch movies? What was the last movie you watched?

As I've mentioned, I love art movies. Comedy and horror movies are also my favourite…, Recently I watched "No entry" which really made me laugh like crazy 😆

What kind of a person are you? Tell us about your positives and negatives(if you do not mind please)

Basically I am a very simple type of person, unlike typical women I am not very fond of jewelry or fashionable dresses some ppl could find me very boring because I am not very talkative ( I don't know if it's a positive or negative quality, ) once I make a friend is for lifetime…am very flexible and soft-hearted for my family 😳

Will be back with more questions...Till then bye bye

This event happened in the USA and after that travel agency job I got a computer technician job, but I think the best field to work, especially for a housewife, is in customer service. I think CSR is similar to the job that a housewife does at home, that is helping out family members/customers(in a way 😛 ).

Do you enjoy working in a bank? What has your experience been with customers in general? Do you often get impatient or rude customers? I know it can be sometimes tough dealing with rude customers and keeping your patience so I was wondering what you think is the best approach to deal with that?

In the beginning days of my job, I had to deal with angry customers and their bad comments, that used to really discourage me a lot – I couldn't sometimes concentrate on doing my job because of angry customers, but after a while now, since im so used to them, I don't mind their comments anymore, ive learned how to keep a cooler mind and I now easily handle those people without any difficulty.
