Hey dotraj , i was about to post a topic on this very same subject. You are right, i too am so tired of their romantic scenes. Its the same thing over and over again. Abi keeps telling simmi how beautiful she is and she blushes then they hug and whisper sweetnothings ...Its too much 😡 . Nowadays whenever they come face to face or walk closer to each other (which happens very often)i just switch to some other channel.

Sometimes i feel that atleast sia and sid are well behaved in front of elders. But simran and abhi keep flirting with each other in sia's presence.

Actually I wouldn't say that elder people sharing sweet nothings is gross or ewwww.....I feel that even elderly people can and do share a sweet and romantic bonding. Romance has nothing to do with age. However, the scenes between Abhi and Simran does not look romantic at all. They look irritatingly stupid to say the least! Its true that they look like teenagers romancing. An elderly couple's love is more subtle and matured. Sinha ji could have handled the scenes in a more matured way and then I am sure nobody would have objected to elderly love. However, this is just my opinoin as a I am a diehard romantic at heart and don't think age would change that.

yep nothing wrong elder having romance and I love Amitabh and Hemamalini in Baghban. and many of amitabh's recent movies show romancing & they are all potryaed very nice. But simran & abhi seems to be artificial though they are very matured. I felt sometimes, simran was as if waiting abhi to praise her beauty and whenever abhi starts talking about her beauty she behaves so abnormally even if the romance is over the phone.

I have seeen an old couple man was in his 70s and lady abt 3-5 yrs younger to him with same romance of youngsters. They used to go hand in hand to park and when the lady used to speak abt her husband she used to blush like newly bride. when he died she didnt cry. Told i have lived full life with him and loved him and loved by him. So i dont cry.

its nice to keep up the romance till death.

Yes, i too agree that Romance does not come with age, and shades off as we pass the Age...Romance and Love is a feeling of togetherness, the bonda couple share with each other. So what, if they get old? Should this feeling too die off?

I have seen many couples in my day to day life, who are more than 70 years old. They do not lose any opportunity to praise the other's beauty and attitude.

Yes, as Raj says here, Amitabh does portray a very nice chemistry with his old heroines even today. Baghban,with Hema, Virudh with Sharmila are very pleasants examples. It is really nice to see a couple having the same affection and freshness to their love even now, after so many years of marriage... I will say a couple will be lucky to have a pleasant time like this, even at old age....😃
