I've started wondering whether Aastha meant anything to anybody at all.All the characters seem to have forgotten that she is no more and are crying their eyes out for their favorite Dr. Simran.Agreed that Ms.Perfect has lost her eyesight and that in itself is a great tragedy---but an 18-19 year old girl has died and no one seems to be sparing as much as a thought for her !!

The recent episodes have put me off totally ---- this Sia has started to irritate me even more ( I never liked her looks or her talent right from the start) 😡 .

You do have a point, but I don't think people are not grieving for Aastha. They are. In fact in some of the threads some people stated that Sia grieved too much for Aastha (considering she hardly bonded with her for that long and she did not even grieve for her mom Archana that long, which was silly on the director's part). Abhi they showed was too dazed and shocked and he also said that things could never be the same with Aastha gone.. Even Sid grieved for her.. I am sure Simran will also grieve a lot for her as Aastha had a special place in her heart. But then, at the same time everyone is very worried about Simran who is alive and I am sure no one wants to lose her as well. We are three episodes behind India so maybe I have not seen all that has been shown there.

In cases where a family has a dead one and a patient, the grieving is divided and that is what is probably happening here too. One cannot ignore the alive one and neither can one forget the one who is dead. One cannot focus only on the dead, as the one who is alive also needs attention. It is a tough situation.
In the episodes where the baby Astha is lost ( Sia) or the episodes where Astha leaves home, we did see the grief of the family members and they had no other problem to face. Now they have two issues and both need to be addressed.

I think we should applaud Ajay Sinha for not falling pray to the Ekta Kapoor Syndrome where everyone keeps crying for around 20 episodes after someone's death. 😆 I think Ajay has done a good job in portraying the situation in a natural way. Even Niki, Upasna and Varun have done a good job. 😊

I agree with you to some extent. Abhi, Sia, and the rest are more focused on the loss of Simran's eyesight than the loss of Astha's life. But after the tragedy, you can't blame them. They have already lost Astha, they are only trying to comfort the one who is still alive. And they did mourn Astha's death, I remember the episode where Abhi and Sia were crying their hearts out😊

But I do think that Simran is the only person who cares the most for Astha, even more than Abhi because she is the mother.

I agree about the Ekta Kapoor part:-) I think what Ajai Sinha is showing the mouring for just 1 episode but I guess they actually mourn for months.. One can't dismiss deaths easily but yes at least they don't show that for weeks or months. LOL.

Totally agree with xyzzee and vazz. They have shown people crying their heart out. As Vazz said that if in the same accident if they have a patient -- critical and one dead person, I guess everyone's attention will go to the patient. I am sure they will miss Astha a lot and I guess they will show later how much they miss her.

How can Astha not mean anything?? They cried for lost Astha for ages when she was just 3 yrs old and was lost. This Astha, they all brought her up together for 18 long years and she was the only grandchild to get attention. It means a lot. . .

Yep...i agree with all of u 100%!They are grieving, but they cannot neglect the one that is alive and that too has lost something as important as a sight!

As the saying goes:Life has got to go on!

Saasey rukjati hei..zindagi nahi!!😊

No one can mourn and grieve more than any parent who have lost a child to death, espcially sudden deaths! That child whom u have brought up with so much love and had so many dreams for,is just taken away,so cruelly by fate,i dnt think its ever getting over for any parent, trust me!😊
