Why people love Dr Simran so much ?

I am new to Astitva EPK, just got myself a Zee connection a couple of months back. I have read the Archives and I think I have a fairly good handle of what has been happening in the past few years.

I understand that Sia has left her mother of 18 years to return to her biological mother Simran. Abhi has returned to his ex wife Simran. Shaguna seems to be willing to give her life for Dr Simran. Sid is willing to sacrifice his love for Dr Simran. Sid's mom is happy to say that Dr Simran has more influence on her son than herself. Anil seems to be very respectful of her.

Simran is surrounded by people who are willing to sacrifice a lot for her sake. I can understand why Kiran hates her so, but what is it about her that makes her so beloved to so many people not only within the serial, but also amongst die hard Astitva fans .

I hope you will indulge me inspite of the fact that I am new and that I have not actually watched from the start - I would love to hear your thoughts on what is it about Dr Simran that people love her so and of course, if there are some who don't think so highly of Simran, your thoughts are welcome too.

Hope you have enjoyed reading the topics in this forum!

Well, for me, I totally love Dr Simran for her character and the way she has been portrayed in the serial. I think she has been a idol for many women in raising awarenesses in India. As many personal problems she has had, i always feel that she has remained a professional doctor always.

Most importantly, Niki's acting skills are also another factor which draws us to Dr Simran...i mean not anyone could do justice to this role. Niki is an absolutely brilliant actress.

Moreso, the serial portrays how simran keeps her astitva during all her problems she has had to face...personally there are a lot of factors which contribute as to why i love dr simran...also she is beautiful !!!

Also, i do love niki's voice...i know this has never been put up as a topic..but i think niki has a really nice voice ...

Im not saying Dr Simran is perfect, but then again who is in this world...but there is definately something about dr simran/niki aneja that keeps us hooked on to the serial ... !!!

ok, i know some may think this is shallow of me, but I will move away from that after....

firstly, i think dr.simran is incredibly pretty! 😛 😳 ..she is! And I think her voice is really nice as well!!! 😊 Her soft spoken manner is very attractive as well! 😊

ok, now i'll move away from that....I also luv the way she is understanding and caring of people. I think it's great that she is willing to wait when she has to, always has a sense of duty towards those around her, and also shows that she is a woman of substance! 😛 ... I know she has made mistakes, ofcourse she has. She is only human, but by and large these mistakes are errors in judgement and not done "pre-meditatively".. e.g. kiran - she is behaving like a vamp jsut for the sake of it. She is leading asthu the wrong way altho she knows her son is also going the wrong way...Simran does not err in that way...

I think nikki is doing an excellent job as dr.simran and don't think anyway else could do it as well as her.At this point I have to add that at the same time I am not sure nikki could also do other roles as well as this one. Altho by the same token she may well do. It's just that I haven't seen any evidence that she could although her going "blind" will provide proof of her as a versatile actress....we shall see! 😉 And in that respect, it will give nikki the chance to prove herself and this is something I feel that yuvika should have done as well before (prematurely) leaving. Although it seems she left not only because of the attraction of the glam-sham associated with being in films, but also possible because of bullying within the astitva sets. If that is the case, then I hope the senior astitva cast and production people check themselves on this.

Anyway, wouldn't it be great if dr.simran saw this and let me know I could give her a "jaadu ki japti" whenever I meet her again (and i have every intention to meet her again! 😉 )

I agree with the above 2 posts.. Summarized very well. I think Dr. Simran is a woman of substance. Also, as I have mentoned before, I guess I liked the serial and was attracted to the character of Dr. Siman because there they showed a professional woman, dedicated to her career and also who did not take any nonsense lying down.. I am sick of sacrificing bahus, who sever all relationships with their parents and just do seva to their in-laws who anyway hate their guts and she sits and bears all the abuse.. Astitva was different because it sends a different message to women folk where Simran maintained a good and close relationship with her parents after marriage. Also, Simran has had to face many many tragedies ever since she got married to Abhi, right from Rahul's death, to Kavita ill treating her, to her mom's death (very very sad), Abhi's cheating her, Manu cheating her, losing her daughter Sia and to top it all, Abhi leaving her the second time over!! How many people can remain sane after all this?? And also her forgiving nature - not easy. The way she forgave her mother-in-law and Urmila after all they did was not easy either.. She has her flaws but Simran was always courageous enough to accept her flaws and sincerely apologize. And last of all, of course Simran is pretty and a wonderful actress!!

Simran has shed loads and loads of tears.. which is natural for a woman... at least to me. She has taken support from her family at all times. She has not been shown as a person, who can do everything on her own and does not need anybody's help. It does seem pretty stupid to see the lead cry a lot, but it also shows that no matter who you are, everybody needs a family. She has come out numerous situations, and may not be the best manner and that is what makes the serial different. Everybody has a different solution to a problem, and the serial has shown that Simran is not a 'perfect' woman. She has her flaws. In fact at one stage, we did see some positive signs of Kiran too.. this was way in the beginning...but the character started to have negative shades and became a typical vamp.

I agree..And what I like about Simran is that she has always been willing to accept her mistakes. And her crying is justified to some extent because of all that she has had to go through in her life..Difficult in real life for a person to be sane after all that she has gone through.

Though to me Kiran has been negative almost from the beginning. I guess I cannot fathom how someone can feel no qualms at all about being instrumental in breaking up a home by falling on a married man..A one night stand in a moment of weakness is different, however when Kiran started making unreasonable demands of Abhi that he does not go close to Simran, etc..and started deleting her SMSs, all that became really annoying and disgusting.

She is not perfect because she always meadled in other peoples business like Abhi's and Neha's.

Well innocentindian I guess you havent been watching tv for long?? Niki has been in the industry for about 12yrs and she has done some very good work in the past!

I know you are a great fan of hers so I will fill you in with all the info I can she before this was in a show Called Gharwali Upparwali(Excuse spelling) which was her in a comedy role of a very ditsy wife who's husbands ex wife comes back to troucble/help her as a ghost! This was in its time the most successful show on Star TV

She has done lots of shows which can be found online if you search from Comedies to Drama and to Action so you doubts over her versatility will be answered by watching Star as these shows are still on AIR!!

I hope this has answered your questions or doubts She really is the Best actress bar none on TV today so she deserves this adoration!!

Thanks for filling me in... 😊 you are right, I haven't watched tv that long - only got into astitva by mistake (and glad that i did)... will see those progs when i can..i haven't subscribed to startv in UK but will certainly watch those progs when i can....thanks for telling me which progs to be aware of ...
