I usually watch Korean Drama and for Chinese I mostly watch Palace and Romance Fantasy Dramas so I wasn't very much interested in The Untamed even though it was literally everywhere. Moreover I am not really comfortable with this BL thing. Recently I was getting bored at home and again post and videos of this drama was popping up everywhere so finally I decided to check it out.

First 10 episodes were boring. I wanted to drop it several times but still I continued to see what's so great about this drama. Things became interesting after the disciples went to Wen Clan and I became completely hooked after Lotus Cave massacre even though I was annoyed by the fact that just when I started falling for WWX he came serious and broken. After that it kept getting better and better.

WWX's character was seriously so well written. He may seem like a immature,carefree and cheerful person but he actually has so many scars. He is an orphan, lived on streets for days, was punished for no reason by Madam Jiang and had to endure rumours about his Mother and Uncle. Still he didn't let them affect him negatively and was always bright and kind. He is undoubtedly one my favorite male leads.

I have a love-hate relationship with Jiang Cheng. There's no question that he loves Weiying but his love seems more like a leader-subordinate type of love. A brother would never leave his brother alone especially if he knows that he is not wrong but JC gave up on WWX too easily. Like Meng Yao had said only if JC had supported him or at least showed his affection for WWX in front of everyone then others won't have dared to do those things to WWX. I am sure if the same thing happened to Lanzhan LXC would have protected his younger brother in any way. WWX was targeted only because he was alone. Jiang Yanli was my favorite character after WangXian. She was more like a mother to WWX than a sister. I am so glad that at least he had someone like her by his side.

The cutest part of this drama was those moments when The Most Powerful and Dangerous Yiling Patriarch became a poor little Princess around Prince Charming Lan Wang Ji.

I fell hard for Xiao Zhan after this drama and it breaks my heart to see that he is suffering so much even though he is completely innocent 😒

About the show with you on it. I resisted for so LONG and only recently too ended up binge watching it in a matter of 3 days .. 😆

I got hooked around the same time, their time together at Wen Clan and after the Lotus massacre it was unstoppable!

WWX is one of those people who have the most scars yet their exterior wouldn't show none of it!

His personality is very endearing fosho! While LWJ also has his own scars but different approach to his exterior aka "Poker face" no matter the circumstances! 😆

WWX is pitiful but 3000 rules are also more than enough to make someone's life miserable 😆 They both had difficult life but the best part is they both learnt lessons from this and became a better person. Meng Yao could have been like them if only he hadn't harbour so much hatred for his father. Yeah his father deserved those horrible things but not WWX, LWJ, Jiang Yanli, Jing Ling and Peacock (don't remember his name )

I consider WWX and LWJ's relationship to be more than friends but less than lovers. They are soulmates. They don't need anyone else as long as they have each other.
