Schools are pretty safe here. We have security on each campus too, and the whole protocol of what to do when there is an earthquake or a shooter at or around campus is practiced in schools time to time in an year. I think schools are safer in India in terms of somebody just barging in and shooting everyone, but can't say about teachers.
Shaz, do they still slap or hit students with rulers if they do something that is not up to the expectations of the professor? Yoddha, do you also live in India?
I am from the West. That's all you guys get. See, this is an open forum and I am not comffortable sharing all my information here. Not like I don't trust you guys. I mean, I'll tell you all about myself, let's talk on Whatsapp. See, It's not you, it's me 🤣

@Tris No there are rules now in most schools to not hit students or the teacher will face consequences. Still some schools do hit students but not severely.. just a slap or boxing the ears. This i am talking about schools around me.. in rural areas (70% of India) these practices are still there I m sure..
@Yodhha Yep.. u r right.. this is a common Asian thing.

@Sam Haha I guessed right! Hmm people do know how to balance everything. . Working while studying is also quite common over there from wht i hear. Plus its super safe for women...which is such a blessing. We girls over here can never imagine travelling alone at night.

That's what I thought. It takes time to have schools and people to follow such big rules. Every institute needs to take it seriously. And parents! If they'll keep thinking using physical punishments on kids as a good way to get the kids to work according the them then it'll never change there.

Just wanted to post this somewhere. As much as we all love Korean shows lets not forget how racist/xenophobic Koreans are. KIA opened a factory in India and many Korean restaurants around that factory dont allow Indians inside.
