I don't know why but I don't really connect with The Originals despite liking the Vampire Diaries. I must say though that Kol and Davina is my favorite jodi so far 😆

I would love to go abroad for higher studies but I don't wanna settle there. Even if I go it will be temporary not permanent. But then I have never gone to US so maybe if I go there I too won't feel like coming back 😆

Can I ask you something Tris ji? Are you guys safe and secure there? I heard a lot of school shooting and mass shooting in the USA which body counts exceeding 10 people. Is it still an ongoing problem?

Pshh no way. I mean yeah relationships in High school are pretty common here but studies don't take backseat. Some students take drugs to stay awake and finish off their big assignments. But I think it's different in every high school...so it depends 😆 And its on individuals too. I mean High school is always dramatic so there's that. And it depends on individuals and their backgrounds too. Some kids are really scholarly, some don't give a shit, some are in between. I am sure relationships does have an effect on studies but people don't willingly throw away their studies because of that. High school and relationships can get dramatic but people still study and most exceeds, and some suffer. It's situational. And there are also schools filled with marginalized students. You have no clue how hard it is for them to even graduate with all the stress they go through just living in America. They only show a small part of high schools in TV shows lol
And TVD is shit when it comes to showing how high school life is for students here 😆

High schools are really shown as dramatic in tv shows and all.. and most of it related to relationships and breakups and drugs (sometimes) . Actually tv shows rarely show people studying so we get this notion that studies are less important there.. 😆 I mean in Indian high schools ,students' lives totally revolve around school-> tution->home-> studies. No space to breathe in such a competetive environment ..Korean society is similar as i see from kdramas.. but US shows show less of that. People seem more relaxed thats it. 😆😆

Haha.. I am not assuming high school life is like that shown in TVD.. 😆😆 coz going by it no one even cares about school .. Elena toh khair her life revolves around Stefan 😆

I'm not sure about the US but I think this is typical Asian I supposed. Here, our students' life is pretty balanced.

No why? 😲 I on the contrary was sure she is Indian born.. coz she has mentioned how she used to watch mahabharata nad ramayana (the old one) and also said she wants to watch Mahabharat (new one) with her family back in India! Thats when I knew 😆

Yes! .. 😆 ... Usually ones born here aren't as into Indian shows esp mytho shows! (-Ofc there are exceptions but generally speaking .. 😛)!

I haven't done schooling here but colleges aren't as fun as in India (-comparing my lifestyle to those of my cousins back home) .. 😆 ... I work and study so very little time for social life! ... but US got it's share of fun and entertainment ... Studies don't take a backseat Ofc ... People just know how to balance everything here ... 😳 (Let's not even go to teen dramas ... I wish lifestyle was as glossy as shown in those shows .. 😆)

You can some here for studies and go back if you don't think it's for you! ... I know many who do the same since most of their families are back home plus they prefer life style back home where "help" can be hired and you aren't jogging through the day like a mule! ... 😆 .. Both got it's pros and cons ... As for me, I do like it here ... it depends how I feel in future tho!

@Tris ... Doing Masters! ... Post-Grad is basically what you do after graduating Undergrad (Bachelors) ... At least that's the definition I went with! .. 😆 ... (What about you?! ... Born in US or brought up in US?!)

@Nuomi ... Gun control is a big issue in US without a doubt! ... But generally speaking people go about doing their thing as is ... there's full freedom and you feel safe 24/7 thanks to emergency services! ... Police here are prompt unlike that of India ... I can walk by myself in the middle of night without any fear!
