I forgot; the reason why I want to watch Madam White Snake is because it is one of my favourite Chinese mythology story. There are two Chinese mythology that I love above all others:

1) Cowherd and the Weaving Girl; I did this story as one of my presentation project when I was studying in Beijing, China.

2)Madam White Snake; which came close as my choice for my presentation project.

Movie right?! .. If yes, I have watched it .. watched it in a theater actually ... 😆 ... It was your usual rom-com, fun and entertaining but with a cultural twist! ... I especially loved "Astrid's" character ... it was beautifully arched..<3!

Do you like reading Sam ji? If you do; it is actually an adaptation from a novel of the same name.

I also love Astrid!! I so cannot wait for the next movie to come out. Did you see the deleted scene on YouTube? She was supposed to have a dancing sequence with that guy in the mid-credit.

I do like reading but these days way too busy ... But since I have already seen the movie, don't think I can read the book now! ... Are they planning on a sequel?!

I haven't watched the deleted scene .. do post them here .. I'll check it out next time I log-in .. Gotta go for now! .. 🤗

The book is actually a trilogy of: 1) Crazy Rich Asian, 2) China Rich Girlfriend, 3) Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan.

They wanted to make it full trilogy, but couldn't be sure whether the movie will be accepted or not. So, they ended the movie on a happy note with Rachel and Nick's engagement.

However, since the first movie was a success box office collection all over the globe; it has now been announced by The WB that there is going to be a sequel. They are now currently developing second movie.

I was talking about Ten miles of peach blossoms. I didn't even know there was another Eternal love until I browsed through the Viki app.. I was like wow now I can watch it here too apart from YT but it turned out to be a completely different show 😕 😆 Lol.. why are there two different shiws with same name .. and then there's also Eternal love 2 too which has some same characters as TMOPB ..

@Sam Yes I will .. one of these days I will find the urge again .. i wish i hadn't started it before my exams.. If I started now I could have finished it maybe.. but a long break in between kills the excitement

@Tris ... I disliked how they used "rape" theme in the movie ...I felt they trivialized the issue by cashing on it ... Esp using the reference of "Nirbhaya" .. you know how emotional and over sensitive people get with Nirbhaya incident .. Not only was it mentioned in the movie but the incident which took place in the movie barred eerie similarities with the case (-as in the damaged intestine ref) ... I don't know man I found the entire use of "rape" as a driving subplot for the metamorphosis of a "corrupt cop hero" disturbing! ... It just didn't sit well with me .. I find it even more disturbing when this movie is called "entertaining" just to justify lack of logic in the movie ... 🤔 .. Rohit Shetty's movie so it's nothing but an "entertaining" piece of junk.. take it as a pinch of salt! .. I mean W*F yaar, how can I take a serious issue which drives the entire movie "entertaining"?! ..

Tho I do appreciate that since it's a massy movie, the message "sons should be brought up and taught to respect women" has been spread to the core centre where such mentality isn't as prevalent yet .. Only redeeming quality of the movie I suppose!

Oh I see what you are trying to say here. Although, I will have to watch it to make any comment on it... which I won't because it's a waste of time 😆 I prefer to watch movies like A Wednesday unlike movies like Kick... and I am having a feeling this one is more in the Kick zone~ don't know if you've seen these movies though 😆
