Ashshsjsjababababansmsm💔

Can't belive they can actually do that to us, after so of sadness, I still am not able to wrap around my head to the fact that makers can really, possibly pull that stunt on us.. I'll be a crying mess next week if it actually happens... 😭

Where to start? I was craving for a serious love story and when the promos for this drama came out, I thought this might be just what I was looking for, but I never thought this would turn out to be such a masterpiece. It's such a beautiful story about trauma and healing. Each and every character had layers and it made the drama seem so very real. The writer and the director both did a magnificent job. The visuals of this drama was breathtaking. I was bored from watching Seoul in every other drama, Busan was a refreshing change and it's seriously so beautiful.

Jun Ho needs all the awards for his portrayal of Gang Doo. It has been a long, long time since a rooted for a character so bad. This is 360 turn from his character in Chief Kim. K-ent is full of talented actors but many of them still carry traces of themselves while playing different characters. Jun Ho embodied his character in such a way, that he completely became Gang Doo.

Won Jin ah was a revelation. She just goes on to show talent has little to do with experience. She was just terrific as Moon Soo.

The second leads and the supporting actors all did a very good job, but what's funny is that I ended liking the second FL more than the second ML. This has be to a first.

Now that it's over, I feel satisfied and empty at the same time. Which drama to watch next? Everything else seems mediocre right now.

copy pasting my reviews from my sugg list thread..
it's really difficult to explain how awesome this drama is.. cast A+, character sketch A+, bg score A+, portrayal of characters A++++, acting A++++, feels A+infinity. JBL is a simple story of simple people.. this drama is the best example of depicting the messy life of broken people in the simplest and effortless way.. I think Gang Doo is automatically added in my list of fvt kdrama male characters (selfless and compassionate ones).. it takes a lot of courage to tell someone that "it's not your fault".. Gang Doo, worrying about everyone.. but not letting anyone take any sort of blame so they don't curse themselves.. a guy who gets involved in unnecessary fighting, tortures his body... finally having a feeling and willingness to live.. how common people suffer different sorts of problem in their daily lives.. some due to past incidents.. and some due to unfortunate circumstances.. but how "life keeps going on" makes them hide their sufferings..
guilt, depression, nightmares, responsibilities, fears, hunger.. each character was weaved around so many emotions.. you love each and every character.. i almost cried when Ha Moon Soo was having ice cream with her mother and aunt.. because i thought that Gang doo died.. but when i watched him crossing the road carefully because now he can't hurt himself just like that.. i smiled while crying.. JBL is a beautiful drama.. you should give love to others.. because of your caring or a small amount of affection someone's wounds might start healing..

edited...
supporting cast was no less.. for the first time second female lead is not evil.. in fact i kind of liked her bonding with Gang Doo..

A beautiful beautiful and incredibly beautiful drama ❤️ it had been a long time since I watched a serious romantic drama and was honestly tired of the same old same old rich boy poor girl rom coms .. so I decided to watch this seeing some rave reviews and boy! Was I completely mesmerized by this drama!!! What a story, what a cast, what great acting, and what a beautiful melancholic music! <3<3
The acting is hands down the best I have seen since Kill me heal me.. Jun Ho and Won Jin Ha! They deserve ALL the awards next year! They were just so freaking amazing . Jun Ho is now easily among my top 3 fav Korean actors.. and Jin Ha .. can't believe she is new .. she acts so much better than many others who have done tons of shows!!! The cast really put their soul into the show which made it so unbelievably real , touching and heart-wrenching ... Just loved everything about the show!!!!

JBL now stands among my top favourite kdramas alongside Healer and KMHM ❤️ ❤️ I am just so so glad that I got to watch this amazingly beautiful drama!

Four days and I am still not over this drama. This is seriously one of the best dramas I've ever watched and I can't remember the last time I got so obsessed over something. I think I am spoiled for the rest of the year. Gang Doo and Moon Soo have became one of my all time fave couple.

It seems Jun Ho is going to enlist soon. I just hope he does one more incredible drama before he goes away for two years.

Finally watched the last too episodes.. And man, I'm so freakin impressed.. Definitely in my list of top 5. All kdrama creatives who almost always attempt to do a melodrama / scarred character /traumatic character / a character with baggage should definitely take a page or two from JBL.
It's a beautifully crafted, written, directed and acted show. The osts were haunting, the cinematography felt sad and sometimes there was a dichotomy between the cinematography and the writing /potrayal in a nice way...
The actors did a phenomenal job, JinAh didn't seem like a rookie actress, her potrayal is comparable to that of an experienced actor. Plus I liked her characterization too, flawed, real and relatable, neither was she a pushover nor crazy stubborn. At some point in ep 15 I did feel that she was kind of unnecessarily dragging (?) her anger, but then it somehow also just felt in line with her character, she'd come around on a own when she sorts out herself.. And Lee Junho(he's become my bias among the actors), was he always THIS good? Coz only other work of his I've seen is in the movie Cold Eyes, he was good but nothing extraordinary, but here he was brilliant. I agree even though I like 2pm, I've never really paid particular attention to him but now I'm all eyes and ears for him.. The guy really deserves all the praises for his acting.. Too good.
All in all, I'm glad for a drama that made me cry, smile, feel and gave me a good 16-17 hours watch ❤️

Rewatching again and again ❤️ 😭 how beautiful was this show ? ❤️
Ughh such shows make me feel so embarrassed about Indian TV.. like how much effort do these actors, scriptwriters, directors of Kdramas put into making these shows.. and here we have crap being sold in the name of entertainment on Indian TV.. 😔
