Try watching Because this is my first life, definitely one of the best dramas last year, if you want more comedy try Hwayugi(a korean Odyssey) it's ongoing but has the best over the top comedy.. 😆

Chuno / Slave Hunters - Set in early Joseon era, when there were so much discrimination and injustice between different sections of people. Rich merchants have their own slaves and there emerges a beautiful love between a son of a rich merchant with their family's slave. Unfortunate events happen to their love and the two lovers were separated so brutally and the brother of the slave girl with whom the rich son was in love sets fire to the rich family overnight and escapes with his sister. Then onwards, the rich son becomes the Slave Hunter / the person who catches the run out slaves of the rich family and collects the reward money. But he secretly still feels to get in touch with his lost lover and he helps the slaves who catch for the riches. It is not rom-com and it is based on historical true events. It is more painful tragic love. You can see the Actor's (Jang Hyuk) best role, performance in this drama. He was awarded most prestigious Daesang for this role.

Thank You - It is based simple theme of love of fellow human and appreciates whatever we got in life is a blessing. It is truly a heartwarming story of a single mother with the HIV infected child. How she single-handedly manages and building a perfect cute world full of hope and love for his daughter. In between their life, there comes the arrogant, impolite, intelligent doctor (Jang Hyuk) who carries a guilt towards the young HIV child since his lady love, who is also a doctor, was the reason behind the child gets infected with tainted HIV blood. The girlfriend doctor got affected with cancer and dies getting a promise from her doctor boyfriend (Jang Hyuk) to go and ask sorry for the child and her mother. In that way, he truly was drawn towards the simple life led by them and get a romantic feeling towards the single mother. This is also not a rom-com and all the characters were very simple and feel like next door characters in their daily life.

Beautiful Mind - Absolutely amazing performance!!! The main lead character was turned down by so many actors and then comes my dear actor who loves to play unique roles in each of his dramas and movies. He likes to experiment his acting talents and gives out his best of his talent every time!!! I don't know how to write a description for this amazing role, drama and I'll leave that to you all to enjoy with open-minded feeling.

There are other excellent performances from him Voice (Suspense, crime, thriller) and Money Flower (Revenge, business, political) which I will post the details after some days since I'm busy with my official work deadlines :( But the above dramas were really like gems which I cant able to do rankings and sort it either.

Try Life is beautiful (gave me a father is strange Deja vu, may be because of the family theme and also because in this drama too the parents were played by the same actors as in father is strange)

Ojakayo brothers is also nice but may feel draggy to some..

A thousand years of inheritance (it leans more towards the romance aspect)

All about my mom and Blow breeze (though I haven't seen them, I read that they were nice dramas)

Also there's Smile Dong Hae (a reeally long one about 160 episodes) but if you like Ji chang wook, then do give it a try😆
