I haven't been really into it as of late, but the news that have been pouring out from late, this just have me feeling as if 2014, has to be one of the "slumps" that Kpop is facing (personally). After the whole EXO and Kris departure, Kim Hyun Joong scandal, the tragic lost of two members from the female group "Ladies Code" during early September due to a tragic car accident, it was members Eun B( who died on the scene) and RiSe (who passed away four days later while fighting for her life in the hospital), I believe Eun B was 23 and RiSe was 21 years old.

Not only that, but it seems that the obvious (well not to me really) happened as Girl's Generation will be returning as an eight member group, NOT as a nine member group as Jessica has reportedly "quit" the group, although its rumors and most likely its true that SM forced her out of the group. Reasons, I'm not sure but its alleged that she renewed her contract but was pending on leaving some time soon and was going to release one more album before she did so, the fact that she started her own business and side activities and etc...

AllI I'm trying to say is literally, what's going on with Kpop in 2014?😕😕

Jessica releases a statement of her own, explaining she was one-sidedly asked to leave Girls' Generation by the agency & members

"Hello. This is Jessica.

I was given a notice of departure from Girls' Generation by the agency on September 29, and I cannot hide my shocked and upset heart about this, so I'm here to reveal my position.

I have always put Girls' Generation's activities before my business or personal life as a member of Girls' Generation. However, despite my efforts for the team, I have been asked to leave the team by the agency.

While I was planning my business that I've had a lot of interest in since before, I had sufficiently consulted SM as well as the members about my preparation many times and asked for their understanding.

Up until the beginning of August when I was launching 'BLANC', I had received agreement and permission from SM, and congratulations from the members as well.

However, in early September, after only a month since the launching, the members suddenly changed their position and held a meeting, and told me to either quit my business or leave Girls' Generation without any justifiable reason.
I explained that I had already received permission from the agency, that I had never neglected Girls' Generation's activities, and that I could not suddenly halt my business due to my contract with my business partner after a month.
Ultimately, I pleaded that it was unjust for me to have to make a choice. Becoming a Girls' Generation member was the best thing in my life, and I had never thought about quitting.

Shocked about this, I had met with the agency CEO on September 16 to convey my position, and once again confirmed their permission for carrying out my business.

However, on September 29, I was given a one-sided notice asking me to leave Girls' Generation. Due to this, I was also unable to attend the fan meeting in China on September 30, and I have also been excluded from following Girls' Generation activities.

I have received great pain and cannot hide my sadness that I was asked by the agency and fellow members, whom I've spent 15 years with putting in all my passion and effort, to leave Girls' Generation just because of the reason that I'm starting a business.

I also want to apologize for causing concern to all the fans. Please understand that this situation is not at all what I had wanted, and that I've always treasured Girls' Generation, and that I will continue to do so. Thank you for always supporting and loving me.

Sincerely,
Jessica.

i feel so bad for jessica i mean she spent 15 years in SM and 7 years as GG member but at the end she was dropped because she started to dream
SM was the worst company ever and i blame other 8 girls for backstabbing
even if jessica wants to marry or start her own business this is not the way to send her
i bet this is the start of snsd downfall !!!

Kpop...idk what happen this yr but i also forgot the scandal with Sulli and Dynamic Duo's Chioza's, rumors that she wants to quit and focus on acting? I mean it would make sense as she was originally brout on board in SM for acting but she wanted to sing and etc...I have been off/out of Kpop since around March and every time I make my way back to it, its always because of some type of scandal or sadly tragedy.

Jessica WAS forced to quit, I saw the message she finally posted and there is no DOUBT in my mind that she was forced out by SM.

Junsu (in JYJ) spent 10 yrs with SM, since '99, didn't mean it stopped them from cutting him off like he was crap, the rest of JYJ spent at tops 8-9 yrs with SM and still the same thing, it doesn't make a difference with SM. That is what happens to most ppl, when they start to dream and want to start profiting without them being in the circle. I for the longest questioned as to why all EIGHT girls would turn their back on her and since they kept on saying they were sisters. I mean with other groups, I think more so with 2NE1, they don't lie that aside from group activities, they lead separate lives outside of their promotions, MV's, and etc that concerns work. But with SNSD (like most SM groups and other groups as well) they sell the fact that they are a family, they are a unit, brothers and sisters united forever. They sell that dream to the fans and they grip hard on it. So why all of a sudden this family unit pulled a knife and buried it deep down on one of their sisters back?
I feel mixed because I'm not stupid to believe the music industry point blank is a shimmery innocent candy land. All these idols are not what they seem (nor good nor bad) and i take everything with a grain of salt...but for other fans they believe everything they see and hear and sadly when news like this come out...the effects and distrust that follows...it doesn't pain too well for SNSD or SM future.

Like u stated this is SNSD downfall and I agree, but this marks SM's downfall as well. How many groups can be affected, only Shinee has been safe and the minute something happens to one of them, fans will be ready with pitchforks.

2014 has just been a bad year for KPop tbh, I remember being really happy listening to it but now I just feel a burden to even check AllKpop because of the stupid things happening in the industry. Jessica is my bias in SNSD and I don't know how to continue listening to their music now, I kinda realised that Taeyeon always had something against her. And in the recent fan-meeting OT8 said ''We were trying to protect GG'' by removing a member in your group? Only safe one is SHINee now.

i agree junsu was with SM since 1998 ?? and jyj has worked so hard but at the end it doesn't matter for SM
i am more disappointed with 8 girls for turning their back on jessica ...whatever their reason its soo unfair of them to do that ...according to some insiders 4-5 girls planned it and other 3 were forced to vote against jessica ..all the sisterhood and sohi bond was destroyed in one day !
this is the problem with SM more than music they try to sell image and if the image breaks it destroys the group where as in YG scandals have least impact since they only sell music ...

i hope this is the mark of SM downfall ...they already destroyed their best boy band now destroyed best girl band ...the only group untouched till now is shinee but i have a strong feeling that they will disband
not even 1 group stayed as whole with SM for more than 7 years lol
the thing with SM is they media play too much and try to crush the artists that left the group
only shinwa succeeded because they stood united but sadly other groups are not that united

jessica was my too ...
i hate Taeyeon ...she always lies and according to so many nietzens she was the main person who would have initiated this and all those fake tears during fan meeting and fan-sign makes me puke
kicking one of the member is no way protecting SNSD ...i cant believe she is soo stupid
i think she dint expect jessica to blame them openly ...may be she thought SM will handle
but jessica beat them by posting first !

I cannot explain how shocked I was when I read about Jessica being kicked out of SNSD. I never ever thought they would end like this. I knew that one day they would end but not like this 😭 SM has lost it. Their media playing is so disgusting, what with them trying to make Jessica seem selfish and uninterested in the group 👎🏼 They are such bullies and I'm just so sick of them.😡
