Part 4
Time: 11:30 PM
Location: Riya’s Apartment, Mumbai
The city lights blinked through the half-drawn curtains, casting golden streaks across the dimly lit living room. Rain had begun tapping gently on the windows, a soft percussion syncing with the quiet hum of Mumbai’s night.
Riya stood by the window, arms wrapped around herself, eyes lost somewhere between the storm outside and the storm inside.
The day’s meeting with Roshni’s parents had stirred something fragile and new. Acceptance. Hope. And a thousand questions.
The soft click of the door opening pulled her from her reverie.
Arjun entered silently, shedding his jacket, his face tired but calm.
She didn’t turn immediately. After a beat, she whispered, “Aap thak gaye honge.”
He came closer, voice low, “Par tumhare bina... zindagi bhi thaki lagti hai.”
Their eyes met. The air between them thickened—unspoken words hanging, heavy and fragile.

Riya turned, her breath catching slightly. “Arjun…”
He stepped closer, every movement deliberate, slow.
“Tum aaj bahut khoobsurat lag rahi ho. Bas yeh baat kehna tha.” His voice was hoarse.
Riya’s cheeks warmed. “Aapke haathon mein aaj thoda sa darr hai.”
Arjun’s lips twitched into a small smile. “Woh darr nahi, savdhani hai.”
He reached out, fingers lightly tracing her jawline. The touch was gentle but electric.
“Riya, main janta hoon ki tumne mujhe apni zindagi mein itni jagah di hai… par main tumhare liye kaafi nahi hoon. Mera dard, mera guzra hua kal…”
Her voice broke in, firm and sure, “Tumhara dard mera bhi hai. Aur main chunti hoon uske saath chalna. Tumhare saath.”
He closed the gap, their breaths mingling.

The rain outside intensified, drumming against the glass as if echoing the rhythm rising within.
Arjun’s hands slid down to her waist, pulling her gently closer. Riya’s fingers tangled in his hair, anchoring herself.
Their lips met—tentative at first, exploring, tasting the space between longing and hesitation.
The kiss deepened, fierce and tender, a silent promise spoken without words.
She felt the steady beat of his heart against hers, the warmth radiating from his body, the fierce protection in his arms.
His whisper was raw. “Tum mere liye… zindagi ka matlab ho.”
Riya’s eyes glistened. “Aur tum meri.”
***
Hours passed like breaths held and released. Clothes fell softly to the floor. Skin met skin, heat blending with the cool night air.
Their touch was reverent, worshipful—both wanting, both afraid, both aching.
Arjun traced the delicate curve of her spine, memorizing the softness beneath callused palms.
Riya shivered, the sensations overwhelming yet grounding.
“Tum mere saath ho, toh main sab kuch seh sakta hoon,” he murmured against her skin.
She smiled through tears and laughter, “Tumhara saath mere liye himmat hai.”
The night stretched on, weaving their souls tighter.

Time: 6:00 AM
The first pale rays slipped through the window, catching the tangled sheets and bodies entwined in quiet peace.
Riya’s head rested on Arjun’s chest, her fingers tracing invisible patterns.
He kissed her forehead softly. “Yeh bandhan… sirf pyar ka nahi, himmat ka bhi hai.”
She looked up, sleepy but certain. “Aur har dard mein saath dene ka.”
Outside, Mumbai stirred awake—unaware of the delicate new world two warriors had begun building within four walls.
