So it was Riya's birthday, and the ETF family surprised her with a celebration. Chotu, true to form, stayed loyal to his love for food.
The sweetest moment? Riya fed a bite of cake to Arjun- and he actually accepted it. Probably the best gift she could’ve asked for on her special day. Absolutely loved the update!

Aww this was peak ETF energy—crime-fighting by day, cake-feeding by night! Chotu’s loyalty to food is the kind of relationship we all aspire to, honestly. And Arjun accepting cake from Riya? That’s basically his version of a full-blown love confession!
WAO, interesting, nice & lovely 🩷 acha lga 🤍

Naye Rishte - Last
The ETF office was buzzing with post-celebration energy. Plates filled with remnants of cake, samosas, and half-eaten snacks were scattered around. Shree and Chotu were still bickering over the last gulab jamun, while Liza and Chhaya watched with amused smirks. Ayesha and Sameer were having a rare, genuine conversation in a quiet corner.
And then there was Sakshi—the chaotic troublemaker of the group—who was still at it.
She leaned against the edge of the table, swirling a leftover mocktail in her hand, eyeing Arjun with a mischievous grin.
“Arre, Arjun…” she drawled. “Baat suno na…”
Arjun, who was clearly not in the mood, shot her a sharp look. “Sakshi…”
She ignored the warning and turned to Riya with a devilish glint in her eyes.
“Tumne wish maanga, Riya?” Sakshi asked dramatically. “Maine suna hai, birthday pe jo wish maangi jaye, wo poori hoti hai…”
Riya gave her a confused smile. “Kya wish maangu?”
Sakshi’s eyes gleamed with wickedness as she deliberately glanced at Arjun, her grin widening.
“Tumhare liye toh yeh obvious hai, Riya…” she teased with an exaggerated sigh. “Apni khadoos ACP se ek special gift maang lo!”
Riya’s eyes widened, and her cheeks flamed.
“Sakshi!” she hissed, flustered.
Shree, overhearing this, jumped in. “Haan haan! Arjun sir se kuch special demand kar le na!”
Even Chotu, stuffing the last gulab jamun into his mouth, nodded enthusiastically. “Haan, haan! Ek baar wish maang ke toh dekh!”
Riya glared at them, feeling increasingly cornered. “Tum sab pagal ho gaye ho kya?”
And then…
Ayesha smirked, watching the drama unfold. With a casual, teasing tone, she added, “Waise Arjun sir ne abhi tak gift nahi diya, hai na?”
The entire room fell silent.
Riya’s eyes instinctively darted to Arjun, who stood still, his face unreadable. His arms were crossed over his chest, his jaw clenched, and his expression cold.
For a long moment, no one spoke.
And then… without a word, Arjun’s eyes briefly met Riya’s, before he turned on his heels and walked away.
The room fell into a stunned silence.
Sakshi blinked. “Uhh… wo gussa ho gaya kya?”
Shree scratched his head. “Lagta toh nahi tha…”
But Riya didn’t hear them anymore. Her chest tightened, and she barely registered the teasing around her. She felt something heavy settle in her heart as she watched Arjun walk away—like something precious was slipping through her fingers.
Before she even realized it, her feet moved on their own.
She quietly slipped out of the room, following him.

The night was cool and still, the faint hum of the city in the distance. Riya found Arjun leaning against the railing on the terrace, his broad shoulders tense, his hands gripping the edge.
The glow of the moon cast shadows over his sharp features—the faint stubble, the chiseled jaw, and the darkness in his eyes.
For a moment, she hesitated.
But then she walked up behind him.
“Aap… Aap chale gaye,” she said softly.
Arjun’s knuckles tightened around the railing, his voice low and gruff.
“Wahi theek tha.”
Riya’s brows knitted in confusion. “Matlab?”
He exhaled sharply, still not turning around. His voice was cold, but there was a subtle edge to it—a slight tremor that made her heart race.
“Yeh sab… tamasha…” he muttered, his voice hard. “Tumhare birthday ka celebration hai, Riya. Tumhari khushi ka din hai. Usmein mera hone na hone se koi farq nahi padta.”
Her heart clenched painfully at his words.
“Aapka hona farq padta hai,” she said softly.
Arjun’s grip on the railing tightened at her words, his shoulders stiffening.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he slowly turned to face her. His dark eyes were intense, piercing into hers.
“Farq nahi padta,” he bit out. His voice was low, almost a growl, but she could see the war raging in his eyes. “Tumhein nahi padta.”
Riya’s breath hitched.
For a moment, she just stared at him—seeing the cracks in his façade. The controlled anger, the hidden tenderness, and the vulnerability he tried so hard to mask.
Her lips parted. “Aapko lagta hai mujhe farq nahi padta?”
Arjun’s eyes darkened. “Nahi padta.”
“Padta hai,” she whispered, stepping closer.
His eyes narrowed. “Riya—”
But she didn’t let him finish.
Without thinking, she reached out and placed her hand over his clenched fist, her fingers softly trailing over his knuckles. She felt the tension in his grip slowly loosen under her touch.
“Aap sochte ho aap mere liye sirf mere boss ho?” she asked softly, her voice trembling slightly. “Sirf ACP Arjun Rawte? Nahi, Arjun… aap usse bohot zyada ho.”
His breath hitched.
Her eyes searched his—pleading, desperate, vulnerable.
“Mujhe aapki parvaah hai,” she whispered. “Zyada… bohot zyada.”
For a long, agonizing moment, they just stared at each other.
And then—before she could rethink her actions—Riya slowly lifted herself onto her toes and pressed her lips softly against his.
Arjun stiffened. His body went rigid.
But then… something in him snapped.
With a low, guttural groan, his arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her flush against him. His hand cupped the back of her head, fingers tangling in her hair as he deepened the kiss.
Her breath caught as he poured everything into it—the longing, the anger, the pain, and the unspoken tenderness. His lips were desperate, demanding, moving over hers with a rough urgency that left her gasping.
Her hands fisted in his shirt, holding on as he kissed her with an intensity that was both fierce and gentle. His fingers splayed across her lower back, pulling her closer, as though afraid she would slip away.
When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless.
Riya’s fingers trembled slightly against his chest. “Aapko laga mujhe farq nahi padta?” she whispered, her voice shaky.
Arjun’s thumb softly brushed against her cheek, his eyes filled with something raw and unguarded.
“Bohot padta hai…” he rasped, his voice barely above a whisper.
And for the first time, he let his walls down.
Just for her.

Downstairs, the ETF team was still laughing, completely unaware of the moment unfolding on the terrace.
Ayesha, leaning against Sameer’s desk, smirked. “Lagta hai koi gayab hai.”
Sakshi, winking, added mischievously, “Ya shayad do log.”
Chhaya raised a playful brow. “Hmm… tera matlab hai…”
Liza grinned. “Bas dekhna, jab terrace se wapas aayenge, tab inke chehre pe alag hi raunak hogi.”
Chotu stuffed another pastry into his mouth, muttering through the crumbs, “Haan, bas cake mat bhool jana, mujhe aur chahiye!”
And as the laughter echoed through the office, on the terrace, two souls stood in each other’s arms—hearts bare and vulnerable, finally allowing the emotions they had hidden for far too long to break free.
