Yes he thought her father might hurt her in his anger since that is all he has seen in his life. Riya on the other hand though has not seen her father so angry never thought that she would get hurt and hence did not react as such.

Oh yess, I hate it when somebody does that. I have instinctively and reflexively twisted hands of my family members on at least 3-4 such occassions🤣
