Chapter-38

Arjun entered inside and saw his brother who leaned on to headrest with closed eyes, sat beside him, caressing his head.

Sensing him Shree opened his eyes, "Bhaiya!" and looked at others with frown.

"Chote..." Arjun tried to say but he stopped him, "Kuch mat kahiye aap, mei samaj chuka huh, bas jo karna hai jaldi kijiye!" He replied avoiding their looks.

Kabir sat opposite to him, "Are you sure Shree?"

"Mere na kehne se kuch nahi badalne wala hai, agar mujhe yaha bhaiya ke paas rehna hai toh dad ki har baat manna hoga." He replied slowly catching Arjun's hand.

Nodding at him, "Vivek 2ml dose prepare karo!" He said in heavy voice.

Shree stiffned hearing him, gripped Arjun hand tightly, "Kabir usse pehle ek baar isse check karo pet mei dard hua tha usse!" Arjun said

Kabir keeping his hand pressed on his abdomen with slight pressure on various places. As soon as he touched on lower right abdomen, Shree yelled, "Ahh!" Pushing Kabir's hand. "Jiju dard horaha hai mujhe!"

Arjun caught his hands, nodding at Kabir who again pressed on the same place with slight pressure as Shree cried out in pain. Removing his hand, "Arjun stress ke wajah shayad bloating hua hoga, he will be fine by morning!"

Shree hiding his face into Arjun's chest, "Bhaiya mujhe woh haath mei dene keliye boliyena!"

"Nahi chote yeh kamar mei lagega, haath pe nahi ..... tu bardash nahi karpayega, Aur sab bahar jao!" All left the room along with Sakshi and Sam.

"Leith jao!" Kabir forced his words as Arjun made Shree to lie properly, caressed his head, "Daro mat mei huh na!" and Saw him nodding with closed eyes.

Kabir taking the Syringe, "Chote relax warna dard jyada hoga!" Cleaned a spot and inserted the needle. Shree cried out tightening his grip on Arjun, as the medicine was injected he yelled loudly startling them and the ones who were outside. "jiju please nikhalo usse!"

Arjun composing himself caressed his head, "Shh chote ek minute, hojayega!" as half medicine was yet to be injected. Kabir swiftly pushed the plunger and removed it making him yell loudly, "Ahhh!"

Outside sakshi hid her face into sameer shoulder, "Bhai!"

"Choti...woh theek hain, uski bhalai keliye na!" Sameer consoled her, a tear escaping his eye. Though Shree was the one who was having pain, it was visible on their faces.

Inside Kabir rubbed on the spot, "Shh...bacha..hogai...maaf kardo apne jiju ko!" He whispered in guilt.

Shaking his head, "Bhaiya bahut dard horaha hai!" He whispered in teary voice.

Caresseing his head, Arjun placed a kiss on his forehead wiping his tears, "Bas chote... rona bandh karo...!"

Nodding he sniffed silently not ready to leave him, "Aap mere paas rahoge na!"

"Haa bacha, mei tumhe chodkar kahi nahi jaa raha huh!" He assured him gently as Vivek opened the door. Sakshi entered inside while sameer stopped others, "Tumsab jao aur fresh hojao....abhi Shree se milna theek nahi!" He ordered them who hesitated but followed his order.

Entering inside they stood watching Arjun who was busy consoling Shree. Sam glanced at Kabir who was staring at the photos kept hand on him, "Kabir!"Which broke his trance.

"Haa!"

"Tum theek hoh!"

"...usse aise rothe dekh mei kaisa hota tumhe nahi pata kya?" Kabir retorted, "Dekho waha uske dard ka wajah bangai mei!"

"Isse acha hota mei badepapa ke baat manleta aur shree ki treatment karne se peeche hattha!"

"Kabir!" Arjun whispered from his place.

"Mei faisla le chuka, shree ke course mei nahi Vivek continue karega.." he replied in firm voice.

Shree hearing him got up, Arjun helping him, "Jiju please aap apne aap ko kosiye mat! Joh kiya mere balai ke liye na!"

"Chote!"

Shaking his head, "Nahi jiju.... Please mere karan sabke baatei nahi sunskathe! Ek Dr ki faraz nibhaiyiye joh Parivaar chahte, Roshini jiji bhi yehi chahti na, woh mujhe issliye wada kiya kyunki unhe yakeen tha ki aap mera dhekbaal karenghe!" He reminded him, while others remembered it.

Kabir going towards him, "Chote aram karo, hum kahi nahi jaa rahe!"

They made him lie properly, once he slept Arjun kissed his forehead and came out along with others.

"Arjun!" Sakshi whispered catching his hand, and took him to their room.

Once they were inside he hugged her and broke down, "Jaan.....nahi hoga mujhse, kitna ro raha tha woh!"

Caressing his back, she mumbled, "Arjun please, control yourself."

Making him sit ,she handed water who drank it calming down. "Agar koi aur option hota mei yeh kabhi allow nahi kartha, par!"

"Arjun hum samaj sakthe, Aur Shree bhi! Jindagi bar medicines pe rehne se behtar kuch dinon ki treatment hih sahi hai! aap please apne aap ko blame mat kijiye! Aap joh karenghe hamesha uski balai ke liye karenghe!" She made him understand gently as he is very sensitive towards his brother, placed a kiss on his forehead.

He nodded silently placing his head on her lap, "Hmm...."

Kabir and Sam entered inside, seeing him like that, "Arjun, tum stress mat lo, humsab haina!"

"Haa...aur chote woh toh tumhare liye kuch bhi karsaktha hai!" Kabir replied taking place.

"Woh toh hai Jiju, Shree apne bhai keliye kuch bhi karenghe, agar jaan bhi dene bolenghe woh bhi khushi khushi dega woh!" Sakshi replied looking at Arjun who sighed, "lekin mere jaan tumdono mei baste hai! Bala mei kyu aisa kahungha!"

"Hmm woh toh hain, lekin ek baat toh sach hain, woh tumse judha hai Arjun, issliye uska pehla shabdh bhi tuhmhara hih hai!" Sam mumbled while they remembered the flashback.

Shree was only 15 months who was playing with his toys in the hall, while Sam, Kabir and Arjun were busy doing their school work.

Roshini and Sakshi were at their home, Shree playing playing looked at his brother and started crawling towards him. Going to him, he tried to get onto his lap but failed miserably.

Watching it Kabir and Sam giggled at him, but Stopped when Arjun glared at them even at that age. Looking at brother whose eyes were filled, immediately picked him up placing on his lap, "Kyua hua bacha, aap mere paas kya karne aye?" He asked gently holding him securely.

Shree looked at him with his big innocent eyes, babbling in baby language which they couldn't understand still gave attention to him. "Apko bhuk lagi kya?" He asked again pressing on his stomach.

Arpita watching them, "Arjun beta, todider pehle hih dudh piya woh, aap chinta mat kijiye aur apna homework kijiye!"

"Shree ko mujhe dijiye, apko disturb horaha hoga!" Saying she moved towards him. Though Shree couldn't understand anything, seeing his mother who is coming near started crying in high voice, fat tears rolling down which startled them.

Arjun immediately rocked him trying to stop him, "Shh...bacha, aap kyu ro rahe hai!"

Suddenly Gayatri called Arpita halting her, As soon as she turned around Shree stopped his crying, watching it, "itna jaldi chup bhi hogaya!" Sam frowned at him.

Talking with Gayatri, "Rukho, mei shree ko lekar athi huh, phir kamre mei jakar woh sab dekhte hai!" And again started moving towards Arjun.

Shree again started crying, "Areh apko kya hua bacha, aap phirse ro rahe hai!"

Arpita tried to take him but shree caught Arjun's shirt in his fist tightly crying loudly, due to which his face became red worrying them.

Unable to see him like that, "Mom, rehne dijiyena, bahut ro raha hai!" Arjun stopped her.

As soon as she removed her hands, Shree became quite curling into Arjun's shirt, which shocked them. Gayu coming front, "Acha janab issliye roraha tha kyunki usse tumhare paas nahi ana tha Arpita!" And shook her head.

"Dramebaaz!" Sam and kabir mumbled simultaneously, shaking their heads.

Arjun ignoring them gently laid him on his lap wiping his tears, "aapko mere paas rehna hai kya Chote!" and kissed on his forehead.

Shree giggled clapping his hands, happily mumbled, "bh...bha.....bhai!" Which shocked all of them.

Arjun looked at him in disbelief, "Chote..aapne kya kaha!" He asked slowly.

Shree looking at him gave a toothless smile, "bh...bha...bhai!" Repeating it continuously.

Arjun happiness knew no bounds, "Mom dekhiye, mere chote bhole rahe hai!"

They nodded with happy tears, "Haa..Arjun, woh apko bhai bhulrahe hai!"

Nodding he pressed kisses on his face, which made shree laugh. Caressing his head, "I love you chote!"

Sam and kabir smiled leaning before him, pulled his cheeks, "Arjun yeh bahut jald humhare saath khelega!"

Arjun slapped their hands, "usse dard hoga!" While they pouted at him.

"Arjun humhe bhi dho, Chote ke saath mujhe bhi time spend karna hai!" Sam whined at him, Arjun nodded and placed him gently on Sam's lap, still catching his small hands.

The three gazed at him, and started playing, homework long forgotten. Later at night the family was very happy as Shree spoke his first word. Before sleeping he kissed Shree's forehead who was fast asleep dur to playing. "Chote...mei humesha aapke dyaan rakhunga! You mean a lot to me!" Which was listened by his parents who were very proud.

Coming out of flashback, "Uss pal ko kaise bhul saktha, uss ek pal me bahut kuch badla, mere farz aur zimmedari ka ehsaas hua mujhe, ki ussko harhal mei safe rakhna hai, par afsoos woh aaj ek aise zindagi ki hissa bangai jaha har roj khatra hota!"

"Arjun, kabhi aisa mat socha, tumne ek bhai kam ek pita ka farz nibhaya, Shree ke nazron mei tumhare liye joh respect hai woh shayad bhagwan ka bhi nahi hoga!" Kabir replied as it's a fact.

Arjun and others refused to eat as Shree was still asleep, "Beta aaplog khalo, shree ko baad mei khiladena!"

"Dad! Aaplog dinner karlijiye, mujhse nahi hoga!" Arjun replied changing channels in the TV.

Suryakant shook his head, and went towards him, taking place beside, "I know aap Shree keliye wait karna chahte, lekin abh woh so raha hai, aap please kuch kha lijiye, apki tabeeth bhi abhitak theek nahi hua!"

"Par dad!"

Shaking head in no, "Par war kuch nahi Arjun, aap humhare baat manrahe warna Shree ke saath jaise jabardasthi karna pada, woh aapke saath bhi karsathe hum...chaliye!" He added sterness at the end, "aapsab bhi table par ajao!"

Nodding Arjun got up and joined others, who sighed seeing him not turning his plate. Suryakant turned his plate and served him, "Arjun khalo, Shree ko baad mei khiladena uthne ke baad!"

Not to worry them, he slowly started eating. Sakshi looking at his face, caught his left hand under the table assuring with eyes. Silently finishing the food, the team left to outhouse while the four moved towards Shree's room.

Watching him, "Tumdono jao aur aram karo, hum rukhte yaha!"

"Nahi Arjun humbhi rukhte hai," Kabir replied. Arjun sat beside Shree ruffling his curls while Sam, Kabir took places on the couch. Sakshi sat beside Arjun keeping her head on his shoulders.

Caresseing her hairs with other hand, "Jaan...tum kyu rukhna chahti hoh, aram karo jao!"

"Nahi Arjun mei theek huh yaha!" She replied closing her eyes thinking about something.

Shree stirred in his sleep, opening his eyes slowly. Noticing his brother he whispered, "Bhaiya!" In low voice trying to get up.

Arjun trance broke and turned towards him, "Uth gai tum!" Nodding he got up and closed his eyes in pain, opened them feeling his brother hand.

"Abh kaise hai!" Arjun asked gazing at him with concern who noticed him hissing in pain.

Without replying shree nodded, keeping head on his other shoulder, "Aapsab yaha kyu rukhe, Aur bhaiya aapne medicines liya!"

"Chote shh....humsab ne khana khaya aur meine medicines bhi liya, mei abh bilkul theek huh, tum apna dyaan rakho!" Arjun replied stopping him.

Shree nodded his head, "acha chalo fresh hoke ajao, mei khana mangwata huh!"

Accepting he got up and went to get fresh and came back within minutes. By the time he came the food was brought. Arjun fed him and gave his medicines, who took silently.

Shree looking at others, his gaze stopped at Sakshi who was asleep frowned, "Apko bhabhi ke saath apne room mei hona chahiye bhaiya!"

"Aur tujhe lagta hai tera bhabhi manegi!" Arjun asked in return knowing she wouldn't leave his side.

"Phir bhi unki tabeeth theek nahi hai, apko samjana chahiye!" He said looking at sakshi.

"Chote...jyada mat socho, acha batao kya karna chahte hoh, sona hai ya kuch aur?" Arjun asked him.

"Kuch karne ka mann nahi!" Saying he laid on the bed keeping head on Arjun's lap. "Bhaiya, kitne din ka course hai?"

Hearing him Arjun looked up at Kabir who raised his eyebrow, "Chote yeh kyu jana hai tumhe?"

"Bas aise hih!"

"Mei pucca nahi kehsaktha, lekin yeh sab tumhara body kaise respond karraha uspar dependable hoga. Normally, week mei two doses lena hoga, minimum six months keliye!" Kabir informed, listening to which Shree tightened his hold, which Arjun felt immediately.

Looking down, he caressed his back, "bacha, kuch nahi hoga! Mei har dose pe tumhare saath rahunga!"

"Bhaiya mujhse bardash nahi hoga!" He mumbled hiding his face.

Hearing his voice the trio felt sad, Kabir moving towards him, "Chote, apko lagta hai aapko dard mei dekhkar humhe acha lagta nahi na, agar mei treatment follow nahi karunga aur apke tabeeth mei koi sudhar na aya toh badepapa aapko humsabse dur bejdenghe!"

"Nahi...mei aapsabko aur bhaiya ko chod kar kahi nahi javunga, aaplogon ke bina mei mar..." Before he could complete, Arjun closed his mouth, "Chup Shree...isse aage kuch nahi, koi tumhe mujhse dur nahi karpayenge!"

Sam was very silent which they all noticed but kept quiet. Yawning, "Mujhe bahut neendh araha pata nahi kyu?" Shree mumbled.

"Hota hai, so jao!" Kabir replied, nodding he closed his eyes. After few minutes sure he was asleep, "Abh yeh batayega kyu itna silent hoh tum?" Arjun asked startling Sam.

"Kuch nahi, bas aise hih!" Sameer mumbled, but they both understood something is serious, "Sam bolo baat kya hai!"

"Kuch nahi, soch raha tha security badao ghar aur ETF office ke! Aur Shree, Sakshi ke peeche kuch trained bodyguards ko rakhnekeliye!"

"Yeh toh theek hain, lekin bodyguards ke baremei issdono ko nahi patalagna hai! Warna unko bhi chakma denghe yeh dono!" Arjun suggested to which they chuckled.

"Aur ek baat Arjun, it's best tum apne saath office mei iski dose store karke rakho, kab jarurat pade pata nahi! Ghar mei toh mei dyaan rakhunga!" Kabir advised him who nodded.

To divert the attention, Arjun asked, "Aur tumhara Ayesha se baat huyi kya?"

Sameer was startled but noticing their looks, he sighed, "Haa...meine shaadi keliye puchliya!"

"Ghar mei batane wala tha lekin..." He stopped as they were busy.

"Hm... jaldi sabko Batadho!" Kabir replied.

They both left the room leaving Arjun, Shree and Sakshi as it's very late. Arjun looking down at both who were sleeping peacefully made them lie properly and covered with blankets, and he too slept.

That night shree didnot get any nightmares, which was a relief to Arjun. The days were going smoothly, along with cases, Arjun recovered quickly and he was cleared for the field work. The last day of festival came which filled joy and happiness in the mansion as Sam decided to inform about his decision.

He gathered everyone in the hall, "Sameer humsab ko kyu ikata kiya!" Rajveer asked him.

Looking at family and then Ayesha he said, "Badepapa, dad... Mei aur Ayesha shaadi karnekeliye decide kiya!"

Hearing him the family were very happy, "Yeh toh achi baat hai Sameer..." Suryakant looking at Ayesha, "Kya tum tyaar hoh Ayesha, tumpar koi dabaav nahi.."

Ayesha looking at him, "I am fine with it uncle, Sameer mujhe kuchdin pehle hih pucha hai!"

Gayatri going to her, caressed her head, "Abh toh iss ghar ki bahu honewali hoh, Sameer jaisa bhulate aisa hih bhulo humsab ko...!"

Hearing her, tears wellep up in her eyes, nodding silently, "Thanx mom!" and bent to her blessings.

Stopping her, Gayatri gave a hug, "Kush raho beti!"

She moved to take elders blessings, along with Sameer who joined her.

Arjun and Kabir took him into hug, congratulating him as they knew about it. The team congratulated the both.

Only Shree was the one who didn't say anything. Sameer going towards him, "Chote tum kuch nahi bole, kya tumhe Ayesha pasand nahi!"

"Mei kya kahu bhai apne toh khud decide kiya na aur mujhe bataya bhi nahi....!" He said not interested to talk with them.

"Areh chote... Mei bhul gaya, sorry!"

"Nahi...mujhe aapse koi baat nahi karna!" Shree mumbled turning his face.

"Haa...aap aise kaise karsakthe bhai, iss ghar ki important insaan se puche bina aap yeh faisla kaise liya!" Sakshi came in middle giving a teasing smirk.

Sam narrowed his eyes, "Tu chup kar, kyu aag mei ghee dal rahe hoh!"

"Areh mei toh sach kehrahi ispar bhi bhadak rahe hoh, jao mujhe bhi baat nahi karni aapse!" She pouted throwing a glare.

"Meri maa....bas mujhe pehle apne chote ko toh manane mei madat karo, tujhe joh chahiye woh dunga mei!" He said as only she could make Shree understand.

"Achaa....joh mangunghi woh denghe aap?" Sakshi asked with a glint in her eyes, which only would make his wallet empty yet he nodded.

"Shree...jane dho, ghar ki halath mei bhul gaya hoga....kuch dinon se pure ghar ki zimedari bhai par ayaga na..." sakshi made him understand.

" Nahi..... Mei naraz huh!"

"Chote....I am sorry, maaf kardo!" Sam turned him around lifting his chin.

"Nahi! Aapne bhaiya aur jiju ko inform kiya aur mujhe kuch nahi bataya, kya apke itne important decision mei mera koi hakh nahi hai!" He asked sadly.

"Aisa nahi hai, tumhara kya jagah hai yeh tum bhi jante hoh, aur rahi baat undono ki toh meine undono ko ussdin bola jab tumhara course start hua tha! Tumhe lagta hai tumhe dard mei dekhkar mei apne kushi ke baare mei tujhe bataungha!" Sameer made him understand.

"Aur Arjun, Kabir ko issliye pata hai kyunki Arjun mujhe pucha tha!"

"Mei baad mei tumhe batana wale tha lekin cases mei bhulgaya, sorry apne bhai ko maaf nahi karoge?" He asked staring at him.

"Ek sharat par!" He said while the family shook their heads.

"Kya?" Sameer raised his eyebrow at him, "House arrest ke alawa kuch bhi manglo!" Arjun replied giving a stern glare.

Shree pouted at him, " bhaiya, aap kyu beech mei bhol rahe?"

"Shree!" Arjun called him firmly.

"Arjun Rukho, tu bata kya chahiye?" Sam asked him gently.

"Kuch nahi, bas wada karo aap mujhe bhuloge nahi na, shaadi ke baad!" He asked in slow voice with insecurity.

Cupping his face, "aisa kabhi nahi hoga, tu humesha sabse pehle athe hoh!"

Ayesha looking at them, "Shree.... Kuch nahi badlega, I promise you! You will always be the first priority, mere liye bhi!" She assured him in soft voice.

He silently nodded at her, "Thanx bhabhi!" Which brought happiness in her heart, caressed his head, "mujhe pata hai ghar mei sabse chote hone ke nathe tumhe bahut laad mila, aur I assure you, mere ane se kuch nahi badlega....balki mei bhi aaj se tumhare aur Sakshi ke team mei huh!" She whispered which brought a huge smile.

"Yeh acha hua, warna humhara team mei ek insaan kam hai, aur yeh teen humesha humhe damkathe...abh tum agai na toh barabari ka thakar hoga!" Sakshi said pulling to their side while the three glared at her.

"Ayesha it's unfair tumhe mere side mei hona hai!" Sam pouted at her.

"Sorry Sameer lekin meri behan aur devar ko akele nahi chod sakthi mei!" She said which brought giggles on their faces. The family looked at them who were happy after longtime prayed for their happiness.

"Theek hain hum Panditji ko bhulake muhrat nikalwayenghe!" Arpita said which brought a blush on Ayesha face.

Watching it, "Dekho dekho, kaise humhari bhabhi ke chehre laal hogai!" Sakshi teased her, while others chuckled shaking their heads, the elders moved from there.

Arjun moving towards her, "Welcome to the family Ayesha, aur agar kabhi indono se kuch galti bhi hogai toh maaf kar dena!"

"Thnx sir...aur aap jyada mat sochiye yeh bhi mera parivaar hih hain!" She assured him.

"Aisa hai toh mujhe ghar mei sir kyu bhulate hoh, call me Arjun! Iss ghar ki bahu aur risthe mei mere bhabhi hone wali hoh!" He said which was a shocker but still nodded at him, as he is respecting the relation.

"As you wish Sir ..I mean Arjun!" She said feeling weird.

"Aur mujhe Kabir bhulasakthe hoh!" Kabir said to which she nodded.

The team was really happy for Ayesha and Sam.

Otherside of the globe, in a large room, the man whose face was not visible was staring at the wall. Someone entered inside, "Bhai....Pathan bhai ka kuch pata nahi, aur woh ACP Arjun Rawte zindha hai!"

The mean stared at the wall where Arjun and Sameer photo was pasted, "Acha hai kyunki uss ACP Arjun Rawte ki maut mere haathon mei likha hai aur Pathan ko dundho mujhe woh chahiye, kiske karan woh phirse pakadgaya woh bhi!"

"Bhai....suna hain, Woh ETF ke Shreekanth Sen hai, ussi ne Pathan bhai ka peecha kiya jiske wajah woh ACP Arjun, bhai ko pakad liya phirse." The goon replied.

"Shreekanth Sen" he frowned in deep thinking,.....pata karo kaun hai woh aur kya background hai...aur woh ladki jisne pehle Pathan ko pakadwaya woh kaha hai!" Pathan asked dangerously.

"Bh...ai...." The person stammered at him.

"Bolo kya hai!"

"Uske baare mei kuch nahi pata, aur ek baat batana aapko!" He mumbled in slow nervous voice.

"Woh ETF aur RR mansion ki security tight ki gai...uthna hih nahi pure ETF team abh RR mansion mei rehrahi, unhe touch karna itna asaan nahi hoga!" He replied in fear.

"Shikender ki duniya mei koi kaam asaan nahi, jao aur mujhe ek ek kabar dho, aur ek baat sunho!" He stopped him who was ready to flee from there.

"Ji bhai!"

"Woh mautarma joh London meet mei apna jadu chalai, uski information chahiye mujhe!" Shikender replied dreamily imagining Sakshi.

She has not left from his heart and brain, turned his gaze towards the painting board where her painting was present. Going towards it, he traced his fingers, "Bahut jald tumhare paas araha huh.... Ek hisab joh saalon se khatam nahi hua, usse khatam karna hai aur tumhe apna banakar yaha lekar avunga, meri duniya ki mallika banogi tum!" He whispered looking at the photo madly.
