Chapter 4

Everything was a blur. Sakshi couldn't exactly remember the ride to the hospital. She only remembered how Arjun was taken into an ambulance and how the doctor kept on listing his injuries. Now here she was in the hospital waiting room with Aisha and Sameer. Everything was falling apart. The only thing good was that Sikandar was dead. His game was over. Killed by the bullet from Arjun's gun. And the bullet from Sikandar's gun? That damn bullet had to hit Arjun, right? Sakshi gritted her teeth in anger. It was her fault right? If she hadn't been so obvious about her feelings for Arjun then Sikandar wouldn't have done that. But well he did. Now she just wanted one thing and one thing only. Which was for Arjun to be safe.

After waiting for what seemed like eternity, but must be just a few hours the doctor finally came out of the room where Arjun was rushed into earlier.

His head injury is taken care of and we have taken the bullet out of his leg. He is stable for now.

And this was what took Sakshi to finally let go of her armour. When the doctor was out of sight she sat down on the hard chair again, took a deep breath before her eyes began to blurry.This was all my mistake!

There she was again on the roof top. Sikandar pointing his gun at Arjun.

Bang!

When Sakshi opened her eyes she saw that the ground seemed to sway from underneath Arjun as he stumbled backwards about to fall off the building.

"Sakshi?!" Aisha quickly ran to her side and sat on the chair beside her as she gasped for air after remembering the whole scene.

"Arjun says right about me. I am reckless. If I would have listen to him then Sikandar wouldn't have taken me and Arjun wouldn't be here right now." Sakshi's voice broke a little as she continued to blabber. Sameer closed his eyes not wanting to remember the last 24 hours at all.

"Sakshi,quite." Aisha told her softly as Sameer motioned to sit on the other chair. And before Aisha could continue, Sameer said "Sakshi even though you were a little careless, but nobody can deny the fact that Arjun was more careless than you today.

"I mean did you even see what he did? He left his whole team behind to go after Sikandar alone. If this is not carelessness then what is? He can do anything stupid when he is angry, even risk his own life." Sameer sighed in exasperation. But there was something else in his eyes too which both Sakshi and Aisha recognized as concern. Sameer looked truly tired of running around after Sikandar for 3 days. His hair was disheveled, his shirt was untucked and there were heavy bags under his eyes from lack of sleep. Upon that his concern for Arjun and the whole team. "But atleast now he is safe." Sameer murmured. Somehow Sakshi knew that the other two were thinking what she was thinking,what would we do without Arjun?

"I hope he remainssafefromnowon." Sakshi said softly. At this Sameer nodded at her. Now Sikandar was gone which should be a relief to Arjun at least. Maybe he will stop being so reckless after all. And maybe start living truly and not like a living dead body.
