GIRL IN THE CITY




Narrator (riya) : what is breakup? Anyone can say it is a pain, which we never wanted to suffer... But breakup is a feeling where some pain forms in our gut which we can't express it out at the same times we feel innumerable knifes stabbing us all over the body.. Where we feel death is better than this. Yes i felt so in the situation i am..



Because i never felt that warmth since my birth.. I always have an awkwardness with my parents because since my childhood i lived with my dadi after she turned old i was sent to a boarding school.. And i returned here yaha mere grandpa worried more about politics and power.

So i found my solace in arjun... But he slapped me and proved me i am wrong. I was left in such a vulnerable state. It was my first and only love but it made me as strong as a diamond. But every diamond needed a polish and i got a man who brought out thr beauty lied in the diamond




FLASHBACK




Riya returned home crying, RIYA'S mother who came that day to there, saw her lost and crying followed her to her room. Riya saw her mother cleared her tears and faked a smile and turned other side. RIYA'S mother shook her head and sat on the bed and silently held riyas hand and made her sit beside her.




Mom : kya hua beti? Tum khoye hue dikh rahe ho. Kya hua?




Riya : aisa kuch bhi nahi hai...bas thaka hua..




Mom : jhoot math bolo




Riya : mujhe bas kuch time chahiye.. I will get used...




She sobbed hard saying this... Her mother got up and made her sleep in her lap... Riya said everything about her love, heartbreak in between sobs. RIYA'S mothers are welled up seeing her like that. She never wanted to see her daughter like that. She looked at riya and suddenly a idea popped in her brain. She looked determined.




Mom : kolkata jaane ke pehle kuch din ke liye jagah badlein..




Riya : nahi ma... No problem I will get used...




Mom : riya be practical.. Yeh uska decision hai aur usko respect karna seekho because it is love. Aap kisi ko rishtha mein majboor nahi kar sakthe.




Riya : ha ma. Yeh uska faisla hai.. I respect that and ab mein mera faisla le raha hoon.. I will never see him or meet him again.. Even if i meet him again i will show the pain of heartbreak to him




Mom smiling : shall i say something... A quote I used to love that I will share with you "The right guy for me is out there somewhere making his way to me. He just got lost and is too stubborn to ask for directions!give him some time to find you.. You wasted sometime with him.. But some where else u can find ur man. Tab tak aaram karo and bas intzaar karo.




Riya : mujhe yaha nahi rehna hai.. I will come to kolkata. I even applied for the medical seat over there..




Mom : lekin iske pehle go to vacation.. Go alone.. Find yourself. Return with fresh mind, move ahead in your life and suno try to be independent beta.




Riya next day determined and packed her belongings and waited till night. After everyone fell asleep she tiptoed outside the house. She left a letter to family members in her room.

She was glued with many thoughts she went to sakshi and woke her up.. Sakshi was stunned by seeing riya at that time.

Sakshi : riya mujhe pata hai tum aao gi.. Arjun chala gaya lekin tumhare liye yeh chod diya




Riya : dekho I didn't came here to get hooked again but return all his belongings.. Say him he is gone... Mere life mein unka chapter hogaya.. And use bolo ki mujhe disturb karne ka chance bhi maine nahi diya use.. I changed my number and i am going somewhere else.so say him better not to chase him..

Sakshi was left stunned by RIYA'S bold talk. Riya threw all the gifts near sakshis leg and moved put of scene.




NEXT DAY




Riyas father came in search of riya as she didn't have her breakfast. She was found nowhere. He went to her room

He sat on bed thinking that she is in her restroom




Father : beta where are you? Aaj nashtha bhi nahi kiya. Jaldi aao..




After some time he found no one in the restroom and he noticed a piece of paper on her dressing mirror..he opened it.




...letter...

Papa ,



Give me some time. I am not going away from you, but for some days its needed and i promise i will return to you as i am before and don't blame anyone.

No one is responsible for this neither grandpa nor ma koi bhi nahi and give me my sweet time and please dont search for me. i will return soon and join in my college

Riyas father was worried about it and RIYA'S uncle sent his men to some places in search of her.




Here riya was in the train smiling seeing the birds sounds outside the train.




Riya : thank you so much ma.. Mujhe ehsaas karaya ki life kya hai.




Riya started to wander mumbai for a month she decided to move back to kolkata. She purchased her ticket to Kolkata. She packed her belongings and came to the railway station. She sat in her seat suddenly a man came and sat infront of her. He smiled at her and forwarded his hand. Riya too simled but didn't forwarded her hand.




Riya : i don't talk to strangers




Boy : who is stranger?




Riya : tum aur kaun




Boy : mein sam.. Sameer dhamsingh rathore.. Aur identity VISCOM (VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS) student.. Yaha aur i actually say everything directly see i saw you and my heart was pumping out of its limit. And i asked what my friend what is it then u know they said it is love..




Riya : what...




Sam : i love you... Will u be mine




Riya remembered arjun she was lost and tears started brimming in her eyes but she smiled at herself and cleared those tears. She smiled at sam and playfully looked at him




Riya : ok ... But your love lasts only for 2 hours more as the train is delayed... All the best..




Sam : its OK jaannu dekho 2 hrs bahuth time hai

Riya : haha really... Then lets see




Sam : come get down lets go to a coffee shop and talk about each other




Riya : acha pyaar ke liye yeh sab nahi chahiye bas dil is enough




Sam : tum over smart hain




Riya :aapko iss over smartness se bhi pyaar karna hoga




Sam : ok no personal.. Lekin naam toh banta hai yaar

Riya : mm...mm...Vaishali kapoor...(she registered ticket on that name)




Sam : vaish wah whaaa what a name... But this name doesn't suit you... Any name which is short and sweet suits you better




Riya smiles and feels a little uncomfortable about it.. Hour gets over by sams blabbering...




Riya: acha sam dekho... After i go will you forget about this..




Sam : why should i forget.. I love you... Why should i forget. And i am fixed about it.




Riya : if i am over smart then you are over confident right..




Sam : dekho ab nahi lekin bas do saal mein tumhe mujhse pyaar hoga... Chodo use bas yeh batao ki where do you live




Riya : (remembers some places) mmm.. Mmm... Lokhandhwala




Sam : lekin yeh train waha nahi jayegi.




Riya : i said i live there... But i am not going there




Sam : where are you going?

Sam : match chennai mein hai




Riya : waha meri college ki match hai




Sam - finds fishy but somehow believes : ha vaishu dekho how many years will our love sustain

Riya : try some other one and she signals him to listen the announcement

Saying this he got down the train.




Riya smiled and waved at him and turned around and sighed relief . She felt pity for him as well as relieved..
