THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN

Arjun pours out his tears in the rain. He then sets himself to go and attend the wedding. He then saw riya, who was looking at him worried as he was totally drenched. She went near him.

Riya: are arjun tum itne bheeg kyu rahe ho?

Arjun: kuch nahi …

Riya (sternly): kya hua?

Arjun caught her by shoulders with tears brimming in his red eyes. Riya was seeing with her wide eyes in horror.

Arjun: aur kya hona chahiye, and what more you wanted to happen. You didn’t even thought of me before getting into the relationship. Didyou even remember my love?

Riya: who are you to say? Did you think before moving onwith sakshi.

Arjun: I never loved Sakshi damn it, bas abhi tak mein bastujhe pyaar kar raha hun.

Riya was shocked by this. She thought why roshini lied to her. But she saw arjun’s broken face and came to know what grave mistake has done all through. She moved to arjun with tears in her eyes,she just sat down on the chair and held her head. She looked at him who still has tears in his eyes.She got up and smiled lightly at him. She went near him.

Riya: arjun …..har ek insaan ko aadath hotha hai arjun ki uske bina sab kuch chut tha hai aur tu bhi aisa ban gaya aur uske baad kya hua tumhe patha hai. Tu toh mujhe chodke chal gaya toh tum ek baat batao ki whatpain did I go through? Dekho arjun zindagi hamein kayi mauke detha hai. Tumsahi raasthe ke liye intzaar kar rahe the, lekin mein sirf andhe aank se mere khoj kee. Wo meri galthinahi lekin I am not even right.ab ham yeh sab piche chod denge aur hamari zindagi ko nayi mauka denge.

Arjun looked at her, and she was also gazing him with same pain in her eyes too. He knows she would breakdown if he leaves her like that.She was biting her lower lip to stop herself. He sees this and moves near her and hugs her.

Arjun: don’t feel bad. Yeh sab bhool jao. Aur dekho ham abhi bhi dosth hai aur party kahaderahi hai tum for your newly found love .

Riya: sorry arjun sorrymainne kabhee nahin socha tha ki tumhare zindagi mein yah bura daur hogi.

Arjun: are chup kar yaar. dekho riya ek baat math bhul jao if you have any problem at any juncture in your life, never forget I will be there for you. And now wipe off your tears.

Saying this they went back to the wedding place. Arjun suddenly thought of roshini but thought to talk with her the next day. He wanted sometime alone to heal himself to get back to normal. He moved to his home and acted like he is sleep, but was crying all night. The next day he went to roshini’s house to ask her about this. Roshini’s father informed him that she is packing in her room. He stormed upstairs but didn’t find roshini there. He then heard some sounds from the balcony and moved towards there. Roshini was seeing the weather outside while virat sat on the chair. Arjun was about to enter but listened virat’s question and stopped there itself.

Virat : roshini tumne jhoot kyu bola tha?

Roshini: dekho ifthere is a thorn in your leg will you grab it or will you take it softly.mei ne bas wahi kiya. I really never wanted arjun to get hurt and same with riya, basek mauka and I will inform both.

Virat : that is a mistake the more time it takes the more it pains.

Roshini just smiles lightly.

Virat: lekin yehmistake toh riya ka hi hai, yeh sab uski jaldbaazi se hi hua.

Roshini: nahi tumhe bas arjun ka version patha hai aur wobhi shree ke wajhe se. never judge someone by seeing them through some others perspective. I know everything coz arjun may also forget what he has done ,insaan hai na galti jaldi bhul jayenge

She starts narrating the things happen in arjun and riya’srelation

Rosh: riya looks normal lekin wo normal nahi hai virat. Riyaki ma aur papa ke beech mein bahuth ego clashes hai , they stay in same citybut not under same roof. Riya’s mother jyaada nagging hai uski wajah se yeh sabhua. Riya ka childhood jyaada depressed hi tha lekin ek din riya ka ma nejaldbaazi mein sabko bhulake divorce lene ka faisla liye , all were against itand jab riya ki custody ke bare mein baath karne ke time pe riya behosh hua tha.Isliye wo divorce lene ka faisla rokh liya. And to avoid further more stress riya’s uncle sent her to a boarding school and hired her a psychiatrist. But after two years she returned here and arjun sepyaar karna shuru kiya . meine socha ki riya ka problem waha solve hojayegi lekin asli problem wahi start hui. shestarted to care arjun so much that sometimes she even forgot about herself .and arjun was also very loving but after an year one day…..

(note: until now you just have seen their outline , from their perspectives . but u know not everything is given notice in riya’s life she happens to be the mysterious one till now so its time to clear that)

Flashback :

It’s been a year since arjun and riya are in relationship. That day was the D-DAY as they were their class final exam results day. Riya got very good score but arjun got a bit less. At arjun’s home

Suryakanth: I didn’t expect this. I mean wo mera galthi haiki meine bahuth jyaada expect kiya tumse.

Arjun: aisa nahi papa mein yeh medical entrance tests kofirst class mein clear karega,

Suryakanth: tum hamara ummed hai beta. Hame kuch nahi chahiye tere naam ke pehle ek doctor ka tagline dekna hi mera aim hai. Tum ekaur suryakanth nahi ban na chahiye. You have pave your way.

Arjun : sure papa

Saying this he went to the dhaba to meet riya. She was sitting there lost somewhere and looking at the sky. Her cartoon tshirt was shining with a jeans n the bottom. Arjun moved to her and hugged her sideways.

Riya: arjun tumhe aur hardwork karna hai. Score is not bad lekin ek nahi hai na . mujhe exams acche se nahi likhna chahiye thi

Arjun: aisa kuch nahi bas dekho riya see I planned a schedule and if I follow it na mujhe compulsory ache college mein seat aana bahuth easy hojayega.

Riya: ham uske liye saath mein padna hai

Arjun: nahi akela , not with you and anyone bas akela padnahoga. No more distractions.

Riya: kya mein tere liye ek distraction hun?

Arjun: are riya why are you not taking the point serious and roaming around such stupid thing ?

Riya: sorry ( she was controlling her tears). Mujhe jaana hai kaafi late hogayi na ju.

Arjun: ha yes even I have to go . (without even looking at her) please call math kar yaar, I will only call you when I am done with my studies .

Riya nodded mechanically and rushed away from the place. She goes to roshini and says everything.

Roshini: riya independent rehna seekho , arjun may be urlove may be ur boyfriend but inn sabke pehle khud ke parwah karo. Not everything and everyone are constant. Don’t be obsessed.

And from that day the distance between arjun and riya’s relation starts taking new turn. They were distanced from each other. Among both arjun was busy in studies but riya was going through rough patch. They used to meet whenever arjun feels he has free time. One day riya asked arjun to take her to a film

Arjun: yaar I came to this shitty movie just for you

Riya: aur wo bhi ek ghanta late. You would have informed methen, had hai arjun yeh

Arjun: ek aur baar is movie ke liye time waste karna no way

Riya: you are seeing the time you are wasting on a movie lekin mere saath time spend karna

Arjun: riya please don’t be nagging

Riya wiped off her tears. She continued to watch the film,hearing arjun’s tantrums

………….

1 month later

It was riya’s bday , she was waiting for arjun to wish herfirst by neglecting all others calls . she waited and waited soon it wasmorning and even then she didn’t get a wish from him. She was roaming all theplaces they used to roam. Later that evening she got a call from arjun.

Arjun: happy bday baby (saying this he hugged her and kissed her forehead) see come soon shree and Sakshi are waiting. I have to cut the cake soon and

Riya: tujhe jaana hai wahi na

Arjun: gussa math kar yaar..

Riya however celebrates her birthday tear eyed. Same happens for next one month and finally arjun and riya attempts their medical entrance examination.

Riya: (seriously ) ab tera exams hogayi toh we can be normal

Arjun: ha pakka

After this everything seemed to be normal until one day arjun went to the terrace of haveli and arjun’s father seen it.

Saying this she looked at virat.

Roshini: bolo mistake bas riya ka hi nahi than na. arjunjaane ke baad uska halath nahuth bigad gayi aunty ne kayi baar phone pe bholithi. Fir wo set hoke sam ko select kiya isme uska kya galthi hai. She foundherself a solace

Arjun here was dumbstikken this time. He moved down stairs without noticing anyone.

Though heartbroken, Arjun respected Riya's decision. At least, good that now there's no misunderstanding.

Riya's past was really disturbing. So, there's also some mistakes from Arjun's side. I don't blame him for concentrating more on study, but at the same time he shouldn't have ignore Riya that much whenever he's with her. Anyway, let's see what he'll do now.
