Chapter2-

Sakshi parked her car and got down holding a bouquet of yellow rose in her hand. She took a deep breath and went forward. In midst of trees she still can see the fence of her Javed's grave. As he was a Muslim, Sakshi gave him a proper burial. She again looked at the roses in her hand. Yellow has always been Javed's favorite. She signed and kept the flowers at the gate of the Graveyard.

Anguish and tears kept coming in a wave but she stood still. She will not let her emotions get a hold of her. She has a lot of unfinished business to finish. She had come this far. Now she cannot back down. She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

Sakshi- Iqbal Sir! Hamein aapse milna hai abhi. Kuch purana hisab hai jo chukaneka waqt aa gya hai.

The road was not easy. But she must take it. Storm was coming. But she must go on.

ETF head office was literary at fire today. Six murder in a row and no clue. Home Minister personally came and gave them few GOOD words. If another murder happens, this case will go straight to CID with no outer interference. Sameer and Arjun were super irritated still they kept that under wrap for the sake of the team. They were doing their best.

Sameer was sitting on his chair reviewing the murder scene photos again as his phone buzzed. It was from Aisha.

Sameer- Aisha! Saab theek hai na! Tum is waqt?

Aisha- Haan woh Sakshi se baat karni thi. Usska phone nehi lagraha.

Sameer- Mein janta hoom tum ghar baithe bore ho jati. Par meine kuch din pehle hi batya na haam ek case pe bohot ulajh gye hai. Sakshibhi busy hogi.

Aisha-Please Sameer. Aapko to pata hai ki Sakshi meri kitni acchidost hai. Usska phone bandh aa raha hai to mujhe bohot tension ho raha hai.

Sameer- Relax Aisha. Shant ho jao. Sakshi bilkul thik hai.Wait main baat karwati hoom.

Sameer went to Sakshi and handed her the phone. Sakshi kept the phone on ear and waited till Sameer goes out of sight. Then both discussed something with earnest dedication.

Javed was sitting in his chair with a worried expression. He was tired of everything. Tired of running away from his past. A past that keep haunting him even now. Those screams haunt him in his dreams. A hand on his shoulder brought him back to the present. It’s Tritiya. Javed looked at the hand and then her deliberately. Sensing what he wants she moved back her hand.

Javed- Please don’t touch me again. I have some prejudices.

Tritiya’s face turned down in embarrassment and may be heartbreak.

She stammered a sorry and was about to leave. But Chotu came with a file and handed it to Tritiya.

Chotu: Abhi ise check karke do. Sameer sir ka order hai ki ise aaj hi finish karna hai.

That left Tritiya with no choice but to sat there and finish the file. Sakshi was passing by the door. Upon seeing her Iqbal called her several times. When she didn’t show any sign to hear, he ran to her and caught her by hand. Though the act had been done in an impulse, the result was not so satisfactory.

Iqbal: Chalo terrace pe chalte hai.

Sakshi: Itni jaldbazi mein kounsi baat karni hai? Main kaha bhagi jaa rahi hoom?

Iqbal: Aisi baat nehi hai Sakshi. Yaha ghutan mehsoos ho raha hai.

Sakshi: Okay par mera hath aise pakde rahenge ya chodenge bhi?

Iqbal shook his head negatively. Sakshi could feel that he was shaking. He kept holding her hand and took her to the stairs that led to the terrace.

Tritiya not sure what to do kept doing her work with head hung low. Hot tears sprung free from those beautiful eyes. Since the beginning she felt a strange pull towards Iqbal. He was handsome, dashing yet had strange melancholy that set him apart from others. It was not like Arjun’s. Same yet different. She never could put her finger on it. After gather courage and lots of sleepless night she took her first step today. The rejection didn’t hurt her. What bothered her was his free attitude towards Sakshi. The way he held her hand and took her to the terrace. She felt like Iqbal slapped her and showed her that she means nothing to him.

Arjun was watching everything from his cabin. He had a frown in his face. he didn’t know how to feel or react. He didn’t want to acknowledge it. At least not now. But he will surely confront her. She came to his life as a breath of fresh air. As a water drop in desert. Why was she doing this?
