Chapter 35 :Continuation of chapter 27 -(flashback of what happened in the 10 days)
The sudden entry of a new person took everyone by shock. But glancing at Arjun they knew he was here for purpose.
Man: we both burn with the same desire to punish them. I'm with you. We'll finish them before they even get a chance to realise.
Arjun nodded in response and let out a defeated sigh thinking about the fate his baba had yo suffer, only if he had been a little cautious baba would have been alive.
Breaking his chain of thoughts that man asked.
Man: Arjun, Mr Rawte was calling me for quite a few days, I couldn't pick the call. Do you know why?
Arjun: someone is blackmailing Pallavi about the Khan murder case under the name of Abram, we just wanted to know is that you.
That man was surprised with the revealations and almost shouted defending himself.
Man: Arjun I didn't take any step against them after meeting you. You only told me not to do so, so why will I?
Arjun: then who is it Abram, you knew about it, you told us, we didn't call her nor did you then who will...
Arjun's eyes bulged out as he realised something. He quickly dialer a number to verify her doubts.
Arjun (on call) : hello Ms Mehta, Arjun here. I just wanted to get a little detail about Mr Devraj, did he really love Pallavi, or was it someone else?
His question confused everyone present there. Samridhi was confused as to why he was asking such questions to her mother, while others thought what was the need to know all this. But when his grimace turned into a satisfied smirk others understood he has gotten a big fish.
Abram: what are you doing? We can do some other job than discussing Devraj's love life.
Arjun: why do you think Devraj married Pallavi? I mean I know she's intelligent, much more mature and experienced than he is but their status didn't match. And please I can't believe this damsel in distress and falling in love story.
Ridhi: what are you saying?
Arjun: I called your mother just to know who was the lady love, was it Pallavi? And as expected it was not, it's Rupali, Pallavi's best friend.
Ridhi: but mom told me Devraj left her to marry his love.
Arjun: exactly his love Rupali. You thought that it was his wife Pallavi.
Abram: but what does it has to do with all these?
Arjun took a deep breath. And glanced at all the confused faces.
Arjun: Abram, who else other than you, Pallavi knows about Mr Khan's murder.
Abram: abbu's killer Devraj...
He now realised what Arjun was hinting at. He realised and a huge grin broke into his face. Arjun noticing his face clarified the rest.
Arjun: Devraj killed Mr Khan and Pallavi got the proofs, she blackmailed him to marry her to get the status, and he couldn't refuse, Mr Khan was a big name and if the truth behind his accident came out he'd be finished. So they got married and Pallavi tried to finish you the last obstacle in her path before entering into power, but you were saved. And Rupali Devraj's then girlfriend remained. Devraj also well acquaint of Pallavi's sinister plans kept Rupali under the wraps but couldn't stay without her also so she came to their lives as her best friend. And now after tolerating much of her dominance in his life, he wants to end it and start afresh with Rupali.
Abram: things are better than we thought them to be. I never thought khala would do something to me and her brother. She loved us so much. She loved me like my mother.
Abram khan lived with his father and khala. When he was young he witnessed his father being shot by his partner and then he dealing how his khala tried to kill him and ended up being married to that man Devraj Singhania and became Mrs Pallavi Devraj Singhania.
Abram: so what now?
Arjun: he'll not leave Pallavi till he gets the proofs. We need to get that before him. And then we need to inform Pallavi about her husband's illegitimate affair. I've enough proofs against them, but these are the crimes they can't be punished for after gaining this we'll make them confess.
Abram: where do you think the proofs are? We need to get them soon.
Arjun: you know her better where do you think your khala would keep such important documents?
Abram: she was an expert she used to tell that the place people will least suspect is their own house. They'll never search anything which is right under the nose.
Arjun: then it's in the house. Devraj would be out for a business meet for the next two days, Pallavi would go for her kitty parties tomorrow. Then you have to find it by tomorrow.
Abram: I'll enter the house tomorrow then, but Ragini? Where will she be?
Arjun: don't worry I'll handle her.
After the plan Abram settled in his room and Arjun planned a date with Ragini under the pretence of relieving his grief.
After a few hours Arjun was in the garden when he realised someone's presence there. He turned around to see his father there.
Arnav: Ad...
But he was cut off even before he could start.
Arjun: Arjun. You have to start calling me that. I'm not Advay. Do you see any fragment of him in me. No right. I myself can't see that. Please don't make these difficult for me I'm Arjun and it's better you all accept this fact soon.
Arnav: can you change your blood, your DNA, your cells, these are mine, however hard you try or deny the fact is biologically you are still my son. And nothing can change that.
Arjun remained silent for a while to let his father overcome his turmoil and when he did he heard him speak again.
Arnav: I don't know whether I'll be able to live upto your expectations, I know you don't have any from me but I want to support you through this. You have gotten your mother's adamance and I know if I say also you won't back out so please can you let me in. I know what happened to your baba was directly or indirectly because of us but...
His voice choked and Arjun could see tears sting at the corner of his eyes, he took a minute to calm himself and then started.
Arjun: sorry for reacting that way. I know you all were concerned for me, but as I told you I'm not the one you are waiting for. Baba was my God, I don't know what would have happened if he wasn't there. Maybe I would have actually died. So I reacted that way. I know you won't do anything that will cause any harm yo me or anyone else, I trust you. And I hope you also do that. But see you can't do anything in this, you are dead and if they come yo know about you being alive things might take a different turn. But Arman sir can do something for me.
They heard a determined voice behind them.
Arman: what is it?
Arjun: it can actually put your life in danger but it's really important. You have to come in front of Singhania's at least Ragini, so that she confesses her crime.
Arman: sure.
After the conversation he went towards his room but in the way found Sakshi sitting in her room and gazing outside. However hard his mind restricted him from going his heart took over and he reached upto her and slowly touched her shoulders.
Sakshi realising the touch blinked out the brimming tears and rubbed her cheeks but once she turned to him she again broke down into tears.
Arjun couldn't see her so vulnerable. She always gad the power to affect him in ways which he himself was unaware off.
He didn't suddenly what had gotten into him when he gently cupped her face.
And if it was not enough he rubbed of the tears and pulled her into his chest. There he let her cry till she got over everything.
After a few minutes when they parted it was ad if they were moving under some spell, Arjun couldn't control his movements and rakhi was lost in his dark black eyes.
He gently tucked the stand of hair which fell on her face and was interrupting his view. His mere touch heated up Sakshi's body and a pink black crept on her face.
Seeing the effect Arjun couldn't resist more his heart took full control of his body as he cupped her face again and brought her face closer.
Her cheeks turned brighter as a shy smile took its place on her lips. He tenderly kissed her cheeks were there were tear stains. Then he moved towards her pink lips.
Sakshi could feel his warm breath on her. She closed her eyes s if submitting herself and waited for Arjun's action. He could feel his lips closer to hers and just as they touched hers a shrill sound of phone broke them apart.
Sakshi was annoyed by that But Arjun was angry at himself as he couldn'tunderstand what or why did he do all these. He quickly realising his mistake left the room talking to r agini discussing about their plan.
That was when Sakshi realised, it would take lots of effort, patience and hard work from her side to make Arjun come out of the past, free him from guilt, realise and accept his feelings and move on in life.

I've al most lost the will to write anymore. I see that my stories are not received well so even if I had an urge to write that died out due to the poor response I was getting. Please do comment if you want me to continue. Otherwise I'll have to end this story too.
