Arjun dumps a pile of files on the glass table: lo Madam ho gaya!

Riya turns to him to check if he placed it properly: hmm...good job!

Arjun laughs...they were back in Riya's office which had been reconstructed and was receiving final touches by the trio.

Now it was Adira's turn to laugh while Arjun squinted and made a face. The ringtone of Adira's phone broke the moment.

Unknowingly a blush creeps up her cheeks. She didn't know how to face him after their encounter in the afternoon. Nevertheless, gathering all her courage she walked up the steps and opened the door with her key. Keeping her bag aside she freshened up before trying to find him. She came out of the room tying her hair in a bun and walked towards the kitchen where she he heard him cooking.

Riya: jaldi aa gaye aaj office se?

Arjun(without turning): not exactly, jaldi nikal gaya

They looked at each other, both knowing they were making the other blush. Riya turned her gaze to vessel on the stove and proceeded to stir the contents. Arjun walked towards the fridge and served them cold drinks.

Arjun: coke?

Riya accepts it: thanks!

She takes a sip and then shuts the stove. Arjun helps her serve the dinner. They sit on the floor with their plates and glasses with the TV on in the background. Arjun held her hand silently with his. She smiled and entwined her fingers with his tightening the grip. Neither of them spoke a word but continued to steal glances at each other, concentrating less on the food and more on each other. The roses turned crimson every time they caught the other sneaking looks. Dinner took longer than usual. When it was finally over, Arjun's hand went upto her hair and opened her rubber band letting her locks flow. Riya frowned.

He leaned closer and whispered: tum khule baalon ke saath zyaada khubsurat lagti ho.

Riya blushed and pushed him away: good night! Jao ab!

Arjun laughed: jaa hi raha hu, subah kaam hota hai mujhe...teri tarah nahi ki 10 baje court khule 11 baje clerks aaye 12 baje kaam shuru kare fir shuru karne se pehle lunch time aa jaye.

Riya(laughing): shut up and go!

Arjun turned from the doorway and leaned on it: waise ek baat kahu?

Riya rolled her eyes: na bolungi toh nahi Bologe?

Arjun: bolunga toh zaroor

Riya: toh puch kyun rahe ho?

Arjun: use courtesy kehte hai

Riya: filhaal tumhe ek hi courtesy ki fikar honi chahiye Arjun ki de raat ko ladki ke ghar akele nahi rehte

Arjun: whatever, ab main bolu?

Riya: kaho

Arjun holds both her hands and brings her closer: I think...we fell for each other too late. (staring into her eyes) I'm an idiot.

Riya blushed: better late than never

He smiled and placed a hand on her waist bringing her closer: hmm...par ab aage main ek bhi pal zaaya nahi karunga. And leans in for a kiss...
