Diary,

As you can see there is no enthusiasm in my writing. Today was not a great day for me or dad. I went to the affiliation hall where dad was supposed to be made dean of the hospital but unfortunately they changed their mind at last minute. My day started well as I won against Sameer's team in soccer game and partied with friends but I didn't take any booze according to dad. I party but never take any intoxicating items in my life as I have promised my dad. He was very upset and disappointed today due to the decision the authorities took and I have never seen this expression in his face in my 26 years of existence. When we reached home and I went to park the car and dad went inside I heard the sound of surprise and remembered the surprise party organized and hurried to house and asked people to excuse us as he was not made dean. All went back home and I thought to give dad some space of his own. I had never seen the guilt and pain in his eyes ever as I have seen today. I and Indu wanted to cheer him so we went to swimming pool area and I saw my dad distressed and drinking scotch for the first time. He said, "Our present doings decide our future fate and it is true as well. I didn't get it first but dad told that he had upset his father in his greed for money and working abroad. Let's go to flashback: my father is eldest son of the house and has 3 siblings and I have grand ma and grandpa in my village, and my grandpa is like the head of the village. He had a great dream of opening a hospital in village which for me is a great work. He tried to persuade many doctors but due to low income none were ready to take the chance in village so he thought to make dad a doctor which he became but when it was the time of the opening ceremony my dad ditched him and came to London to fulfill his dreams, which was foolishness for me. He showed me the pictures of my extended family, which were non-existent for me before today. I wanted to do something for dad as he has done for me. So I decided to go to India and persuade my Dadu as I know it's not easy as stubbornness runs in the family. I decided to take early flight to India and start my mission of dad and family milap as it is not an easy task I've to take each steps carefully. First of all I have to see the aggressive side of my Dadu and decide my game plan. I will not disguise myself in front of Dadu for sure and I learnt he is very sensitive and I don't want to hurt his feeling by not revealing my identity for sure. I don't believe in deceiving people as you see I am a very honest and truthful cop as you may know by my behavior. So I decided to go to India before time for joining my duty. I believe in doing works before time and not keeping it for later. Hope he accepts me and my family too. I am going to India tomorrow and I discussed with Sam he will join me later. Hope all goes well. I am sorry dad I am going without telling you.

Dear diary,

I have just boarded the flight. I am very much excited to meet my extended family. My first destination is Mumbai then Hyderabad than I will be going on bike to my village. I have to go to Mumbai for my joining letter from there and transfer me and Sameer to Hyderabad. I went to the headquarters and went to DIG's office. And I am joining in Karnataka near my village. I have heard Dadu wanted to start a hospital there. I will try to start it on my own and dad's help too. Hope Dadu will appreciate me and my work. I will ask dad and Indu to join me later. Hope it goes well as I hoped. I hope my temper will not create ruckus there as all say, I have a very bad temper that I got from my Dadu as he is also a short and high tempered man. I have heard I have a chote Dadu and his family is here as well and they are trouble makers' hope they mind their own business and do not compel me to use my ACP status on them. I have to stay clear of them. I have lots of work plan to make. The meeting with DIG went well. You may be thinking my British accent may have given trouble to me but not to worry, I have a very good Indian accent, thanks to mom and dad due to their teachings that I could have an Indian accent, that's why I could easily communicate in India easily. Hope I don't make any trouble in my hometown. I love Indian culture and nature and I have heard there is greenery around my village. I also hope I meet my dream girl there who can understand me and my family well and adjust with us, who will understand my passion and my love for my family and dad. She should be also family oriented girl who will have no problem with my time with family. I hope I could win over my Dadu's heart.

I don't want to deceive him and my other family members but if they don't accept I will not disturb them ever. I hope I don't cause any ruckus there. Hope my uncle and my aunts have a good bonding and no harm comes to my family. Love and miss you Dad and Indu. See you again. Good night and sweet dreams diary.
