And then he'll steal your senses and rip the dori of your ghagra choli. You'll be astounded and stare at him in a mixture of disgust, attraction and mortification. The cool tip of his gun will rest against your sweaty neck as he would threaten you to reveal who you are. On one end the only thing you would want to do is slap him to his senses but on the other end, his masculine scent and strength leaves you paralysed in his arms. You blink a few times as the badge on his suit blinds your vision, and the name gets ingrained into your memory forever and ever - Arjun Suryakant Rawte.
"And that's how you mix Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon with your fictitious ETF world!" Sakshi tossed a cushion on her cousin's face and chuckled at her comical reaction.
"What the! It was completely a genuine idea!" Her cousin yelled out. Sakshi rolled her eyes and pointed out at the very obvious What The' and shook her head. "And Arjun... I mean at least find me a hero who has a unique name. Over that, isn't your Arjun Rawte..."
"Suryakant Rawte..." She interrupted Sakshi.
"Yes yes, whateverkant Rawte an officer? So why is he ditching rules of morality and going the Mills and Boons way to rip of the dori of my ghagra ch... wait, why the hell am I wearing a sheer net ghagra choli in this chilly winter of Delhi!" However, a small blush did tinge Sakshi Anand's cheeks to even imagine herself entrapped in a handsome stranger's arms.
" Uffo jazbaato ko samjho! He's thinking you're a spy! And wait... someone is blushing." Her cousin teased while Sakshi just rolled her eyes "Enough Eeshu! Obviously it's any ordinary woman's fantasy to get trapped in such a situation... but... I know what reality is and sweetheart I am really not into all this flossy romance crap. Now pass me that scarf and let me head to my office where I actually work than being your pretty heroine who does nothing."
Easha Khan muttered a string of curses under her breath as he cousin didn't even give her a penny for the wonderful fiction she had crafted in her mind for her cousin and the mysterious Arjun. Considering it was her birthday the next day, at least her cousin could be grateful for the wonderful story!
Coming to Delhi to celebrate her Christmas was the worst idea ever!
"Eeshu cheeni..." Easha closed her eyes as her cousin's shrill voice rang in the air "Bol nimbu mirchi."
Sakshi chuckled at her being called so and plopped on the sofa next to her scowling cousin.
"I took off." Sakshi gave her sugary smile while Easha tossed the pillow on her head and stormed to her room... to get the shock of her life.
"Oh. My. God." Every word was punctuated with a scream as the decorations, cakes and gifts lay here and there.
But being the crazy Easha, she ran towards and typewriter in a way that would bring Simran to shame. (Simran, Raj - Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge).
"How's the gift cheeni?" Sakshi raised an eyebrow and got into the older sister mood while Easha passed a few dramatic kisses and hugs "Haye mere nimbu mirchi, kisi ki nazar na lage tujhpe! I mean this means so much for me!"
"Enough, I still don't get it how you manage to maintain such a calm demeanor and I am the only one to get your crazy side! You're a fantastic writer... not the best..." Sakshi flashed the warning look "but budding to become one of the best. So, I need my little sister to do everything she wants to do so. Tell me your biggest wish!"
Easha calmed down and smiled at her mother hen. "I really want you to take a break in life and let my Arjun crash into your life! I mean who knows, I might just be blessed with a Midas Tongue." Sakshi raised her eyebrows in response while Easha tucked a pillow under her arms and savoured a piece of chocolate cake.
"See, it will be like this..." Easha licked her fingers clean and wiped them. Sakshi leaned against the headboard and helped herself to a glass of juice as Easha began to type and speak simultaneously.
Sakshi gingerly lifted her ghagra as she stepped into the palace of Fatehpur Sikri. In spite of the chills settled around the palace, she donned the Indian piece upon her sister's insistence. Secretly speaking, she was quite please with the idea. The little Id* in her mind was satisfied to have worn something that deemed fit a princess in a palace for Jodhabai.
There was something in the air, a silent charged tension. Her dupatta fluttered in a weak protest against the biting wind yet cold was the last thing she felt. Dub lub, dub lub.
Her heart hammered against her chest and her palms felt clammy as she felt someone watching her.
Someone.
The thoughts came to a stop and she tightened the shawl around her shoulders as her sister dragged her inside, laughing as she tripped and fell on the grass. Sakshi smiled and shook her head at her sister's tomfoolery when Isha winked and ran into the palace, screaming "Catch me if you can!".
"Isha!" Sakshi yelled and felt a head turn to her direction, but she needed to catch her juvenile sister. No matter how her spine burnt at someone's gaze.
Bunching her ghagra in her hands she ran to find her sister and felt herself going in circles. She felt a murmur of people by her but she paid no heed to that. Her feet stopped at the familiar sensation of someone's gaze but she resumed to running, to only feel her feet slip and lose balance.
Behold the old trick of cupid as she was into the embrace of a man so sinfully handsome. His eyes were devoid of warmth but they made her feel as if she was in the sweltering heat of the Savannah. Her virgin skin burnt as his palms clamped on her skin with possession.
"Who are you?" His voice thundered and chills ran up her spine. Unbeknownst that she had been holding on to him in a death like grip, she collected her mind and replied. But if only he accepted the truth. "You've been following me, you've entered classified quarters of the palace without any permission... and don't give me a poor excuse as if you've been scouting for a lost sister."
Sakshi opened her mouth in shock "But sir, that's the truth! My sister's been playing tag with me and I can't..." "Call her." He asked, though his grip barely weakened. "Sir, she's left her phone with me..."
"How very convenient... how do I not know you've come to spy on us or..." His gaze rested on the hollows of neck and traced her delicate frame in a manner which sent repulsion and disguised anticipation. "Tell me the truth girl, or I know ways to reveal so."
"How dare you! You scoundrel..." The string of curses continued along with a slap when his hands had found his ways on unexplored skin.
The feral rage in his eyes would have burnt her, but Sakshi wasn't any mere nobody. Her ego and pride was just as much, except she bore the gift of humility too.
And then he'll steal her senses and ripped the dori of her ghagra choli. She was astounded and stared at him in a mixture of disgust, attraction and mortification.
The cool tip of his gun rest against her sweaty neck as he threatened her further. On one end the only thing she wanted was to slap his insolent face again, but on the other end, his masculine scent and strength left her paralysed in his arms. God curse Sigmund Freud for his discovery of inner sexual desires as driving force behind personalities!
She blinked a few times as the badge on his suit blinded her vision, the name got ingrained into her memory forever and ever - Arjun Suryakant Rawte.
"And girl you should apply to Mills and Boons, agreed there are influences but that was... hot." Sakshi winked while Easha giggled. "You're worthy a heroine! Not only have you looked after yourself every since your childhood but also you've pampered me spoilt with all your love and care, even though I have parents who do well enough! And you're beautiful di. You do deserve a wonderful love story."
"Bas bas... now tell me where should we go for something on the 13th!"
"Fatehpur Sikri, please! I mean I fell in love with the place when I scouted in on Google, think na di, getting an Arjun would be difficult but let's just take the fun of the story of a minute. We'll go there wearing..."
"Cheeni, you need a certified psychiatrist... you want us to dress up as the Sakshi and Isha of your book and you intend to play tag or hide and seek or whatever on the field of Jodhabai's palace?"
Easha pouted in response "Please."
"No way."
The next thing Sakshi knew was staring at her sister's cheeky face as she ran away and following her. Living up to dreams was one thing but she took it too real.
But it did feel nice, running through the palace while the ghagra spread with payals chiming in the air gave her a feel of a princess.
Sakshi felt embarrassed as a few tour guides stopped for a second and looked at her, astonished. But leaving caution to the winds, Sakshi loved the blood gushing as she ran around the palace.
"Cheeni!" She called out. She heard a few people murmur in the background and someone stare at her. Suddenly Sakshi realised that she was all alone and Easha had left her phone with her.
Ill thoughts of being trapped came in her mind and she held her hand against her throbbing heart. "Cheeni this isn't funny, come out now."
Easha stood behind the pillar and watched her sister getting flustered, obviously she'll show herself up minuted before her sister calls the entire police force to search her.
Accepting win, Easha was just about to step out when Sakshi slipped.
"D..." Easha started and stopped as a man held out to Sakshi right on time.
The smile of relief on Easha's face disappeared as she took in the frame of a hard, masculine form grasping her sister in his arms.
No way... no... no no way was this happening.
Wearing clothes and coming to the place was just a choice, like the one in her story because she wanted to free her sister a little bit but...
What the hell!
He towered over her sister and thundered out "Who Are You?"
Easha's eyes widened as he saw him hold onto Sakshi with blatant possession. How dare he! She scouted to find a heavy vase or metal to strike him. Story, no story... no one dares to hold her di.
Her actions stopped and her jaw almost fell to her mouth as she heard the next words.
"How dare you slap me! Do you know who I am? Arjun Suryakant Rawte."
With that, Easha fainted and slumped right onto the floor as Arjun ripped off Sakshi's dori.
Precap : This was a dream, Easha's sayings couldn't be true. Her left eyelid opened slightly and there she expected, Easha clicking her fingers saying what happened.
His sinfully handsome face greeted her.
