I .. I love you
Arjun burst into peals of laughter. "Sam" he said trying hard to control his laughter "agar tu aise bolega na Riya bhaag jayegi".
Sam glared at him and turned back towards the mirror and took a deep breath. He was practicing his lines before he could actually propose to Riya. But his nervousness was taking a toll on him. Finally after saying it for the umpeeth time infront of the mirror, he voiced out to arjun
"Arjun yaar mujhse nahi hoga. I cant do this".
"C'mon Sammy bas propose hi toh karna. go and tell her what you feel of her" arjun said assuringly
Sam pulled himself up and stood near the window. "Tujhe lagta hai ye sahi hoga. I mean I don't know does she think of me in that way or not. Or would I be able to give her what she wants in her life at the most would I be able to keep her happy. I am really confused yaar sab kuch zyada jaldi toh nahi horaha".
"Nahi sam" arjun said walking towards him "kuch galat nahi horaha. Jab tak tu use bolega nahi tab tak tujhe pata nahi chalega ki vo tere bare me kya feel karti hai. Aur agar ,mujhe lagta ki tu uskeliye sahi nahi hai toh mai yahan baith ke teri madat nahi kar raha hota aur ab tak maine tere daant bhi tod diye hote samjha? itna mat sonch jaa aur use bolde".
There conversation was interrupted by a phone call by Roshni who was crying on the other end.
Her voice was replaced by a hard one.
"Hello. ACP Arjun there has been a blast on M G Road and ACP Riya is suspected to be among the people dead ..."
Without hearing his next words Arjun grabbed his car keys and zoomed out towards the blast site with sam following him.
He heard his wife calling him. He stood up and went to the kitchen where she was preparing meal for afternoon.
"Arjun kahan the aap mai kab se aap ko bula rahi hun" roshni said
Ignoring her questions he went upto her and hugged her from behind. She slowed the gas and turned around to face him. His eyes looked vulnerable She cupped his face and placed a soft kiss on his forehead. He hugged her again, she could feel something wet near her neck and she knew he was sobbing. May be he had another dream.
"It's okay Arjun, its okay" roshni said softly hugging him back
He broke the hug and clutched her palms in his. "Promise me you'll never leave me. I would not able to live without you rosh", he said, his eyes wet with tears.
I passed him a smile and promised to be with him forever -in happiness as well as in sorrow. "Chaliye ab lunch pack karte hain aur sam ke ghar chalke uske saath baith ke lunch karte hain", Roshni said lightening up the atmosphere and they both packed the lunch and went to Sam's house.

The pilot made the announcement, in ten minutes we will land at the international airport of Mumbai. I looked out at the clouds that we were slashing in order to make our way through them. I thought about the work that was assigned to me and I decided to complete my work as soon as possible and leave Mumbai without being caught by them because revealing my identity would mean a threat to their lives and I cant risk their lives at any cost. I pressed my lips together as I remembered the conversation that took place at the mansion.
A man entered the room from the other door that was just opposite to where I was standing. He was wearing a black, long coat; a big rimmed hat and dark glasses that covered his face completely. He looked at me, smirked and voiced out
"Miss.raina, oh! I so am sorry. I should call you ACP Riya Roy Kapoor, vaise bhi on this forieng land how many of your companions call you by this name, you must be missing it." His words made the floor beneath my feet to slip out. Fear engulfed me and my eyes declared that. So, this was the reason why he called me here-he knew who I actually was.
"What did you think you will deceive me and I will leave you and if you really thought so, so Miss Kapoor you are badly mistaken. I hate betrayals and you unfortunately have betrayed me badly and now, for a long time." Every word that left his mouth made me more anxious. Quietly I slipped my hand in my handbag and tightly gripped my gun ready to shoot any second. He continued
"You know I am a very bad human with cruel mind but soft heart especially for ladies like you." He looked at me from top to bottom. His gaze made me nauseatic. "So", he said a little bit louder. I am giving you one more chance but this time keeping your nerves under my control. I have a work for you. If you did which I believe you will do, well and good, I will keep you alive and you can continue your work with Abrahim. BUT if you didn't succeed or you didn't come back your loved ones whom you left some eight years back will meet their end. And you must be knowing I don't like to lie and welcome to my world"
Saying this he left leaving me alone in the room with one of his men.
After having a conversation with him and getting details of my work, he took my gun and passed me an envelope.
I came out of my memory lane with the announcement of landing. I moved down of the aircraft and took my luggage. Every kind of thoughts were roaming in my mind but giving all of them a backseat I began moving out of the airport. As soon as I stepped out of the airport , an arm grabbed me from back and I landed on a someone's chest. He had a familiar scent.

Sameer walked into the mansion. All the furniture in the living room was covered with white sheet, a layer of dust had perched on everything-even the floor, only some fresh footprints were visible.
Sameer trailed them and landed in a room rather a pink one. Everything there was pink in colour-the study table, bed, bed sheets, pillows, dressing table and even the ceiling with a hint of lanvender and white.
He heard the sobbing and walked some steps and saw her sitting on floor on the other side of the bed. She sat their hugging her knees and her head balanced on top of them.
He sat beside her and caressed her hair calling her name. after some time she looked up and he wiped her tears.
"Tum theek ho?" Sam asked
Hmm, tears again dropped down from her eyes
It was Riya's parents first death anniversary. She was their lone child and so was very close to them. their sudden death in a car crash had left Riya broken and shattered. The rawtes being their family friends insited Riya to live with them and from their on the mansion had been closed.
"Riya", he called to her "please stop crying. You know they must be watching you and it will hurt them to see you cry like this."
With this, Riya broke down into sobs again and rested her head on his chest, her hand found way to his back. She hugged him hard and Sam too kept her in his embrace till her sobs diminished and sleep took her over. The door bell brought him back and he felt something wet near his eyes-it was a tear drop. How much lived in him even after eight years? He smiled at his own thoughts and went to open the door. There Arjun and Roshni were waiting for him to open the door.
"Kya sam itna time lagta hai darwaza kholne main", Arjun started as soon as he opened the door.
He smiled in response and made way to let them in.
"aap dono baith jav mai table laga ti hun",Roshni said and went towards kitchen.
Sam and Arjun sat in the living room till roshni set the table for lunch.
All three of them ate their dinner and again sat in the living room but this time with TV on until a call disturbed them.
