Hello everyone! So I sat down to update this story in the original topic, but then realized that all my old stories' topics are closed! :( I don't really know how to open them again, so I'm just gonna start afresh with new topics. I'll also be posting a new topic for my updated list of all my stories, so watch out soon for that! :)

Enjoy the story! :)

-0-0-0-

So I originally wrote this story way back for sajda tere pyaar mein, which I adored a lot cause of Ranveer and Aliya. Still can't believe they ended the show right when it was getting so interesting.

It's based off one of my favourite animes, so if you see any similarities, that's probably why. Think of this story as an arakshi adaptation/version of it.

Anyways, so I've decided to revamp it for arjun and sakshi. Here, arjun has no tragic past, no roshni, so obviously he won't be our khadoos acp like in the show. It'll be more tragic for sakshi, in a way. But don't fret! She'll still be her carefree, bubbly self.

I'll be posting the character sketch for now, and then if ppl like it enough, I'll post the other chapters! So please do comment and let me know if this story is worthwhile!

Character Sketch:

Sakshi Anand:

a clumsy and crybaby girl. She is lazy and constantly gets bad grades at school because she never studies. Although she is often mistaken as unintelligent, she is actually just naive, lazy, and easily distracted. She prefers to play video games, read comics, and sleep. She also really loves food, especially sweet ones. Sakshi is afraid of dentists, ghosts, and lightning.

Arjun Rawte:

Arjun is rather reserved and collected in the eyes of people who don't really know him. He can sometimes come off as a jerk and rather cocky, but deep down he's really caring and a sweetheart. He is reserved mostly because he is still trying to figure out his past from his permanent amnesia and doesn't want people to get close if they end off leaving in the end. Even though Arjun constantly fights with Sakshi, he does care about her and right now that's the only way he is able to show her he cares. He also enjoys teasing her. Though, if caught in an embarrassing situation, he becomes uncomfortable as he tries to find a way out.

Other characters will be introduced as the story progresses.

Chapter 1 - Just a Piece of Paper

Aw man, can't believe I failed again. Actually.. Maybe I can. Hehe. But oh no, I can't go home with this test, mama ko kis moo se dikhaongi? Like, 'yeh lo mama.. I only got like a 30, your daughter's one smart cookie, Huh."

Ugh, what am I gonna do?! Frustrated, she scrunched up the piece of test paper in her hands into a round paper ball, aggravated with the results.

"Who needs school anyway?!" She rhetorically asked herself as she threw the paper ball backwards in the air. She could care less where that trash went now, walking forwards to go home.

However, little did she know that that paper ball would lead to the one man who would change her life as she knew it altogether.

The paper ball flew in the air behind her in a projectile motion fashion, and bounced off a black-haired male head, who was wearing black-tinted aviators on his eyes, a calm expression displayed on his face before...

"Hey, watch it choodi ki dukaan!" The man said, grabbing the paper ball into his hand after it bounced off his suave black head of hair.

Sakshi immediately turned around towards the male voice, surprised at his sudden outburst. Oh, Sakshi you're such a klutz! She mentally lamented to herself. "Oh sorry!" She called out to him, but then saw him with HER scrunched up test paper.

"A 30?" He questioned aloud sakshi's IQ as he read the red pen digits on the top right corner of the now crumbled up paper, creases now visible all throughout the page. "Admirable," he muttered.

Sakshi let out a huge girly scream upon the man's reaction at her test paper. "Aaahh!" She couldn't believe he was actually looking at her test paper - didn't he have any manners at all? She grew apprehensive on the man's growing interest with her paper.

"Tum uh, aisi hi bewakoof ho, ya are you just plain lazy?" He rhetorically asked her in a mocking manner, his eyes wandering up and down her figure. He turned the paper around so the big fat digits "30" were visible for her to see from far away.

Angered that someone was actually invading her privacy, she stormed up to the man, furious that he had the nerve. "Oh why you--!"

She hastily snatched the paper from his hands so he could no longer judge her (too late for that), "ugh give me that! Tumhari himmat kaise hui mera test paper dekh ne ki!" She yelled at him as she turned right around from him and proceeded to walk in the opposite direction.

Huffing and puffed, she continued to storm and walk forward, her paper crunched in her hand. "How dare he! What a jerk calling me 'choodi ki dukaan'! Agar maine usse sabak nahi sikhaiya toh mera naam bhi sakshi nahi!" She angrily muttered to herself as she continued to walk away, but then her footsteps slowed down to a stop as she turned around to peer at the man she just bitterly encountered,

"Phir bhi. Cute toh hai," she said with that oh so familiar lilt in her voice.

Arjun watched as the miffed girl angrily strode down the street away from him. He took off his aviators from his eyes in a slow and charming fashion, and gazed at her as she slowly disappeared into the street. Hmm... Something about that girl, he mused to himself.

Chapter 2: Justice is Served

'Be careful what you wish for' - They always say. But Sakshi was only now beginning to understand the essence of the phrase. Never in her wildest dreams had she ever imagined she would get to be a superhero, a guardian, a WARRIOR in disguise - a person who would protect the city from bad guys and ward off all things evil.

She never wanted this. Yes, she loved to play action hero video games. But actually BEING a hero? She was just a kid for cryin' out loud! A simple, cheerful college going girl who likes to play video games and hang out with her friends on a daily basis. And now, in the blink of a moment, some talking cat comes along and tells her she's some warrior with gadgets that have supernatural powers to fend off evil?

You gotta be kidding me. Like hellooo? This is real life! Not some superhero movie! She just wanted to be a normal teenager for heavens' sake.

She screamed at the top of her lungs as the inhumane creature in front of her extended her long hand as if it was a fast-speeding crane, its sharp claws ready to gnaw at her fair, round, and flawless face. She closed her eyes shut, and held her jaw tight, bracing herself for the impact.
But as she soon came to realize, the sharp impact never came. Instead, she heard the sound of the claws clash with an unknown object, and abruptly opened her eyes in fear. She opened her eyes wide to see a red rose, its petals intact, standing firmly, but slightly slanted, on its green, flourished stem on the tile ground right by her feet.

Her eyes then wandered to a man with tall, broad shoulders and a quite attractive physique, wearing a tuxedo and matching mask on his face, standing on a window ledge in the building she was being attacked in.

Who's that? Well, whoever he is, he came just in the nick of time, she mentally conversed with herself. Her thoughts jumping around in her brain were momentarily interrupted by the voice of the masked stranger.

"Apne dil mein jhaak kar dekho aur warrior ko apne andar dhoondho Sailor Mrunal!" He called out to her, trying to motivate her to keep her fighting spirit and eradicate this monster to protect their city.

"But I don't WANT to be a warrior!!!!" She retaliated. She was sick and tired - fed up - of this whole hero thing. She just wanted to go home. Like any other overwhelmed girl, she started her incessant crying and began to bawl her eyes out.

Lara, her sidekick who was a talking cat, began to worry upon her childish state. However, she was in for a shock when her crying actually caused a mini-earthquake to erupt from the ground, and all of the humans that the evil creature had turned into a zombie-like state, fell to the ground like flies swatted by a trap. The evil creature began to moan and cover her ears in an effort to stop the horrific wailing from damaging her ears. "Oh will you stop that incessant crying already!!"

Lara saw that the creature was momentarily distracted, and knew that this was a great opportunity to finish her off. Instantly, and without a second to waste, she told Sakshi to use her tiara and destroy the creature.

Initially, she was hesitant. What could her tiara do? What powers did it have? This was all still so new to her. But being pressed by Lara again and again caused her to change her mind. Worth a shot. What choice do I have?

Here goes nothing, she thought, as she took the tiara off her forehead and aimed it at the female creature in the sky. She swung and let it go with momentum, and the tiara flew spot on towards the creature, turning into just mere ashes of dust on the ground.

Whoa. I did that? With cautious steps, her red, tall combat heels clicked with the tiled floor as she walked up to the creature's remains of dust assembled into a pyramid. She watched as the pyramid of dust disseminated and vanished from air. Who knew, she marveled at this new revelation of the existence of sorcery and magic. Her thoughts were once again interrupted by the masked man peering at her from above.

"You have done well, Sailor Mrunal. Ab Mayra ki maa aur baaki sab aurtein azaad hain. And it's all thanks to you. Leken jang baaki hai. Others will test you, honsla rakho. Do not be afraid," he told her in that charming voice of his.

She gazed at him as he spoke, in awe. As soon as he finished his speech, he lifted his cape above his shoulders and vanished into the dark of the night. "Mein aapke saath hoon," he called out to her as he left.

She sighed in a dreamy-like state as he vanished. Kya khoob dikhta hai, her heart began to flutter at the thought of him, and her eyes glistened with love. Love for a man she just met, she knew it was so clich and unrealistic, but she couldn't help it.

One thing's for sure - she would remember this night forever.

Chapter 3: Talk Radio

They say love's a many splendored thing. But not today. Turns out the monster Sakshi had barely managed to finish off last week was just a mere slave of a man named Jay, who is a minion of an even more evil entity known as Sikander, the leader of the NegaForce - the most potent, evil force that exists in the universe.
This week, the evil Jay and his minions have turned the power of love into a dangerous weapon, and it's up to Sailor Mrunal and her sidekick Lara to save the day. Will Sailor Mrunal succeed in the same? Keep reading to find out!

* * *

Jay has discovered that humans spend a lot of energy on love, and sends his servant Fro to take advantage of this. He starts a radio program called the Love Line (under the name JD), and reads a love letter by Miss Lavanya (Sakshi's homeroom teacher), offering a romantic prize to whoever's letter they read on the air.

At college, Miss Lavanya is late for class. When she arrives, her energy has been drained by a flower broach she won on the Love Line. Lara encounters Sameer (whom Sakshi is friends with) at the arcade, and decides that the arcade should be her communications base.

Sakshi and her best friend Mayra were walking down the town streets, conversing about the latest buzz - the new radio station - the Love Line; completely unaware of the hidden agenda behind the same.

"I have a special project I'm working on." Mayra told Sakshi enthusiastically. "I'm gonna write the perfect love letter so it'll get read on the Love Line by the R.J.!"

"But you don't even have a boyfriend."

"I know, I'm just gonna invent one so I get my letter on the show!"

"Ohhh, smart Mayra! You can make the perfect guy!" Sakshi squealed in delight of the very thought, her eyes having a new-found sparkle. She started to mindlessly banter and list off the traits of her Mr. Right, "Handsome, smooth, totally cool - ooof!"

Her words were cut off as her body collided with a hard substance. As she tumbled backwards and fell to the ground, she realized that she had collided with someone's chest, and immediately got back up to apologize incessantly, without actually looking up at the person she had bumped into. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry."

Instead of expecting a reply like 'it's okay' or 'no worries', she heard Mayra's voice, "Arjun, kaise ho tum?" A surprised tone was evident in Mayra's voice.

Huh? Arjun... as far as I know, I didn't know anyone by that name. Maybe he was Mayra's friend?

Sakshi looked up with cautious eyes to see Arjun bellowing with laughter at her. She gasped in horror, it-it's him! Jerkface!

Anger filled her face's features as Arjun spoke, "Kya bolri thi tum abhi, about someone totally cool?" Charisma and charm was evident in his voice, but to Sakshi it was pure ghamand - he had a serious ego problem! So much anger was boiling up inside her as he spoke, so much that she felt her head would blow off any moment.

"Well, surely it isn't you," Arjun implied with a slight chuckle. "Shouldn't you be going home and doing your homework, choori ki dukaan?" He smirked, walking right past her down the street, but not without that brooding chuckle.

"DON'T call me that!!!" She called out to him as he walked away, her hands balled up into fists of fury.

While Sakshi was utterly aggravated and irritated at the man, Mayra was equally smitten by him, fresh blush visible on her cheeks. "I think I've just figured out who's gonna be the inspiration for my first love letter," She told Sakshi standing beside her, clearly smitten by Arjun. Her dazy state however was interrupted by Sakshi's outburst -

"Oh how's this for inspiration!" Furious at Arjun, she couldn't take it anymore and flailed her arms up in the air violently, screaming at the top of her lungs in frustration, "YOU'RE A CREEP ARJUN! YOU DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT BEING COOL!!!!"

* * *

Sakshi wrote a love letter, but when she tried to take it to the station, a guard told her there is no program called Love Line. Mayra's letter was read on the air, and she got a flower like Miss Lavanya's, which drains her energy. As soon as Mayra clipped the flower broach onto her shirt, she instantly fell into an unnatural deep slumber. Shocked at this revelation, Sakshi tried to nudge Mayra awake, but in the process got too close to the flower, and some of her energy was drained. Falling into instant slumber just like Mayra had moments before, Sakshi found herself floating in the sky, the moon in the backdrop illuminating the dark skies brightly.

She sighed deeply, enjoying the serenity and tranquility of the atmosphere as she floated through. Suddenly, a bit of a distance away, she spotted a familiar cape masked man with a magician's hat on his head,

Tuxedo Mask!

He turned his head slightly over his shoulder. Ah, that familiar bout of perfect black, hair, and the white mask that covered his eyes put her heart in frenzy once again.

"Aap mere sapne mein kya kar rahe hain?" She asked him.

"Kya hum koi danger mein hai?" She probed on. However, the masked felon stayed mum, not a single word lingering out his lips. "Haye, kitna mysterious hai," she muttered to herself in a low voice. "Maybe he wants to take me out on a coffee date!" She inwardly squealed at the thought of going out with her handsome saviour, and then giggled lightly.

"You've read my mind," the masked man replied with a smile and a low, husky voice.

Being the childish schoolgirl she was, Sakshi instantly perked up, caught up in utter bliss. She felt like bouncing off the walls out of happiness. "Iska matlab ki you'll tell me who you are?"

"Of course, we'll have no secrets," he said to her with a charming smile as he turned around to face her.

Sakshi was in seventh heaven, her head up in cloud 9, as he brought his hand up to the white, suave glasses that masked his face. Her breathing increased profoundly, and her heartbeat began to beat out of her chest. She couldn't believe it, she would finally know who her masked man was.

Her heart pounded harder in her chest, her breaths getting more heavy and her eyes glistening with anxiety but also excitement, as he lowered his mask more.

C'mon, just a little more. She wondered what colour his eyes would be. Blue like the serene ocean? Big, deep brown like chocolate?

She was just about to witness the sight of his probably expressive eyes, moments away from the masked man revealing his true identity.

"SAKSHI WAKE UPPP!!!" Lara's huge cat face with her whiskers came into her view, encompassing the whole scene.

Sakshi screamed as high as she could in response, "AHHH!" She almost flew off her bed, creeped out by Lara's voice.

Clearly, Lara had woken her up out of her dreamland, and told her that the NegaForce was behind all this - the whole deep slumber and flowers thing, not the fact that Tuxedo Mask was in her dream.

* * *

Lara and Sakshi arrived at the radio station, where the guard was not letting them inside. Lara gave Sakshi the Lara Pen, which she could use to disguise herself as something. She used it to turn into a sophisticated talent agent to enter the radio station. As Jay was talking on the radio, Sakshi barged in on the radio and told everyone of Jay's plan. That resulted in Sakshi getting attacked by Fro, who revealed her true beastly form. Sakshi transformed into Sailor Mrunal, and fought against Fro. Eventually, they got to the roof of the station, where Sailor Mrunal used Tiara Magic. Fro dodged it, but it came back at her and destroyed her. Sailor Mrunal then threw her tiara at Jay to get rid of the source of all these energy-draining monsters, but he stopped it without even lifting a finger, making it fall to the ground.

Sakshi didn't know what to do - her tiara has never not worked before! It was supposed to work! What was she gonna do now?

She decided to fight it out, just like the female superhero in her most prized video game she always played. She lunged at him with a sideways karate kick.

However, Jay was just too powerful for her, as she was about to witness. A power surge emanated out of his hand as he lifted it, his palm facing her foot effortlessly, and an invisible force field surrounded him.

Sakshi immediately felt she had collided with a brick wall, and the momentum sent her flying backwards from where she had started her fighting stance.

She began to whimper and slightly cower in fear as Jay advanced with each step towards her, an evil smirk across his face.

With each step that he took towards her inevitable doom, or so he thought, a whimper escaped Sakshi's lips, and her eyes became glossy, she couldn't move. Her heart was telling her to fight back, to defend herself, but her mind and body was stuck in place. She could only watch as Jay continued to walk towards her in a menacing manner. He looked so human, yet so evil.

This was it. It was over. Jay was but a few feet away from Sakshi's demise, pure evil written all across his face. He couldn't wait to destroy her completely.

Just a few more steps, Jay thought with a maniacal voice in his mind; but his sneering thoughts were stopped short by a familiar rose with red petals standing firmly on the ground, its stem slanted like before.

"Don't give in to him, Sailor Mrunal!" Jay saw the rose lain on the ground blocking his path, and heard a voice behind him. Clearly, he had a huge hero complex.

I'm outta here.

And with that, Jay disappeared in thin air, teleporting back to the NegaForce.

Once he was gone, Sakshi reverted her attention to that familiar masked man, who was standing on the ledge of the roof overlooking the street below. She gazed at him as he flew off into the darkness of the night with the aid of his cape acting as his wings, "I will fight with you."

Oh, he's so dreamy. I know we'll meet again another day, Tuxedo Mask.

Chapter 4: Slim City

For Sakshi, what seemed like the most horrible, worst day ever had turned into quite a joyous, happy one within an hour. That crazy bhoot sawaar that she had about dieting and losing weight was now gone thanks to Sameer, who had encouraged her that she was beautiful and fine the way she was, having no need to go out on a diet or an extreme fitness regime. Feeling much better about herself, she was currently strolling casually down the downtown street, chowing down on one way too many barfi's. She hadn't realized it, but dieting only was making things much worse - it was making her eat way more than she usually would. However, she ignored her inner conscience and continued to munch on her desserts like there was no tomorrow.

Until someone crossed her path...

While walking and simultaneously eating barfi's, she ran into Arjun yet again.

"Oye choori ki dukaan." Sakshi looked up from her barfi she was eating to see Arjun standing before her at a distance. He was sporting back tinted shades on his eyes, and had quite a formal appearance donned. White shirt, black pants, black formal jacket, blazer, whatever it's called. "Shayad mujhe tumhe barfi ki dukaan kehna chahiye. Zyada suit karega, nai?"

She could clearly hear the taunt in his voice as he spoke. "Shayad mujhe tumhe barfi ki dukaan kehna chahiye. Zyada suit karega, nai?"

"Toh barfi ki dukaan, you're really chowing down." He commented suavely.

Before she knew it, anger rose inside her. How dare he! "Jitna marzi chahe haslo Arjun! You can't ruin the taste of this barfi!"

"Kitni selfish ho tum! Kam se kam you could offer me one," he teased.

"GLADLY!" Want a barfi, oh I'll give you a barfi all right! In a bout of anger, she raised her arm and thrust it over her head, throwing the barfi in her hand with all her might, aiming directly for his stupid head.

Having quick reflexes, Arjun found no trouble in catching the barfi in mid-air, and then bringing it to his mouth. As he took a savouring bite, he thanked her in his usual charming way, "Thanks barfi ki dukaan."

But he didn't stop there. He loved it when she got so worked up because of him, and so continued to speak as he turned the other way and walked away from her down the street. "You know, that wasn't much of a throw. You should really start working out."

Before she knew it, he disappeared down the street, but her anger was still on a high. The brown paper bag in her hands that once contained barfi's instead was being crumpled and fisted, courtesy of Sakshi. "Ooh, ek din mein usse sabak sikhaongi. Aur it won't just be with that doughnut.." She said with gritted teeth.

Gosh, I hate that man SOOO much! Usse dekhar mera khoon kholne lakta hai!

And with that, Sakshi Anand's day had ruefully turned from bad, to good, to outright miserable yet again.
