CHAPTER 3

It was almost midnight but still there was no sign of Sameer and Karan...Arjun tried to call them but the call was not going. He sighed and looked at Riya. There she was sitting in the couch crossing her legs, looking at the moon through the window. Her facial expression showed that she was deeply immersed in some thoughts. There was an awkward silence between them ever since Sameer and Karan left. They both tried not to break that as they thought it'll comfort the other person... Now, the silence was getting on Arjun 's nerves. He wanted to go to her, talk to her and make her comfortable... Most importantly he want to open up to her and apologize for the ruthless words said by him... He had to do it...Now or never... He slowly found his legs moving and walked towards Riya. After a minute's hesitation, he sat near to her. He coughed so as to bring her back to the world. Riya startled and looked at Arjun . For a minute Arjun 's eyes got locked with Riya's baby brown eyes. He could see the tear originating in those eyes... it was speaking volume of pain to him. His heart lurched seeing those eyes in pain. He involuntarily touched Riya's shoulders. Riya broke the trance and wiped her tears... Embarassed, Arjun withdrew his hands from her shoulders.

Arjun : "Erm... Riya... I...I want to apologize to you for what I have told... I should have never said like that... I was just being immature and irrational..."

Riya: "No Arjun ... It's me who should ask you sorry... you have done nothing... I did cross my limits... So what you did is natural..."

Arjun : "But Riya..."

Riya (interrupting him): "No but buts... I don't like my friend asking me sorry..."

The word FRIEND made Arjun to look at her... he felt his heart become light... All the guilt vanished from his face... He gave Riya a warm smile showing his cute dimples. Riya responded in return by giving the best smile...

Arjun : "so we are friends huh?"

Riya: "Yes... Any doubt?"

Arjun : "Nope... By the way, can I ask something to my friend?"

Arjun asked her seriously... she looked at him, suspicion written all over her face...

Arjun : "Why were you crying Riya before a few minutes?"

This question caught Riya out of the guard... She understood that Arjun has easily deciphered the pain in her eyes... but how? She tried hard to stop the tears from falling down... but how Arjun noticed that... A thousands of questions were running through her brain...

"Riya... I am waiting for an answer..."

Riya decided to deny the fact that she cried... But, as if reading her mind, Arjun said

"You don't have to tell me that you didn't cry... I know what I saw... Even though the tears didn't fall from those eyes, I could see the pain in them... It was not definitely because of some insects gotten into your eyes... It was due to something else... What is bothering you Riya? You called me friend few minutes ago... Don't make me an outsider in the very next moment by not sharing your pain Riya... Please"

All this while Riya was staring at him dumbstruck... she was soo moved by the emotions in his voice that the tears at last found its way through her eyes... she turned away from him and went near to the window... She looked at the beautiful starry sky

"Arjun ... What should I tell you when I myself don't have an idea what's going on with me... I don't know Arjun what's happening to me... I am scared... not because I'll be attacked, but because what will happen to Sameer bhai and Karan bhaiyya if something happens to me... I know they won't be able to bear that... they will break down... (Turned to face Arjun ) I know, they are not my real brothers... but they loved me to the extent that no real brothers would have done that... I am afraid for them... I don't mind dying... in fact all along I knew, I have been constantly watched by all the gangsters... but that doesn't matter to me... everyone have to dye someday so do I... (Trying to fight back the tears flowing down)... If something happens to me, they won't forgive themselves... they will blame themselves for whatever will happen... I don't want to happen that... I just... wanted to have a little more time with my brothers... You know, all I have in this earth is them... I can't claim anyone else as my own... I don't want to leave them soon... I just want to have a normal life with my brothers... Is that too much to ask for Arjun ? Why God is punishing me like this? Why???"

She broke down saying this... she left all the tears to come out of her eyes freely... On the other hand, Arjun was stunned with the pain Riya just shared... He slowly made his way towards her... He touched her shoulders, she looked up... He cupped he face in his hands and said;

"Shush Riya... Enough... Nothing will happen to you... you got that? How can you think that God will be that much cruel? NO... he never was... Everything will be alright... You can have your normal life back Riya... All you have to do is to keep faith in God and your brothers... And about the ALL YOU CAN CLAIM IN THIS EARTH AS YOUR OWN part... You are wrong... You have one more person now... (He stopped for a moment and looked at Riya... Riya was staring at him continuously)... YOU HAVE ME NOW Riya... I am YOURS... You conSameerer me as your friend despite being me rude to you... Thats enough for me Riya... I am forever bond to you... Whenever you feel lonely and scared, don't forget that I'll be always there to help you... You are not alone Riya... So nothing will happen to you..."

He pulled Riya into a warm embrace... she felt contend after hearing Arjun 's words... The same was with Arjun ... He felt soo happy to have Riya in his life as his most precious friend... He was happier to have Riya in embrace... Her body touching his... Her hand right above his heart... He loved this new feeling...

"Nothing will ever happen to you Pia... Nothing..."

CHAPTER 4

"What!!! We are leaving? But why Bhaiyya?"

Sameer was not in a mood to answer her questions. He was already started packing his things. This irritated the hell out of Riya. She went and stood infront of Sameer and crossed her hands across her chest as if demanding the answers.

Sameer: "Ri... I am telling you once again... Please pack your bags... it's not safe for you here anymore..."

Riya tried to protest. Sameer cupped her face in his hands.

"You have no idea how much I love you... I can't bear it if anything happen to you. You are not safe here anymore... that's all you need to know now"

This time it was Arjun who spoke.

"What happened Sameer? Why don't you tell us what made you to take such a decision?"

Sameer looked at Karan desperately. Karan closed his eyes as if telling him to spill the truth.

Sameer (sighed): "yesterday night... That call was from our headquarters... they had catched a thug who is belonging to Sikhander Khan's group... From the interrogation we had done with him, we got a piece of information (he looked at Arjun and Riya who was keenly listening him)... we got to know that... they... they are planning to attack Riya within two days...So we are taking Riya far away from here..."

Arjun and Riya were looking at Sameer as if they can't digest the truth they have just heard.

Arjun : "You want to move? But to where?"

Sameer: "Don't know... I and Karan have decided that we will go for a world tour with Ri undercover... No one will know about our location. That way we can keep her safe..."

Arjun (Amused): "guys... you are going... What about me??? I am also coming with you..."

Sameer patted Arjun 's shoulders.

"NO Arjun ... I afraid you can't come with us... in our absence, you have to lead the team... our force need you... and by the way if more people are there, there is a chance of being exposed... I cannot let any such things happen... (Turns to Riya) Riya... Pack your bags... we have to leave within an hour..."

Riya couldn't understand what was going around her... she was shattered the moment Sameer told her to pack her bags... She was feeling sooo heartbroken to leave her home, her friend and her Arjun ... Or is it just was Arjun ...Don't know... Today she woke up very much happily and within a few minutes her world turned upside down... Even though she always used to tease Arjun , he was the person whom she most after Sameer and Karan... she doesn't know whether it was love or something... But she knew she will feel the same pain of parting away from Sameer and Karan when she will part away from Arjun ...

Arjun , on the other hand was not in a situation to think properly... Riya have to go... But how can he let her go...Just now she became his friend and now she has to go??? How can life be soo cruel...? Finally he felt like he is in a place where he truly belongs... And suddenly all that washed away like a cloud... Why he is feeling an ache in his heart at the mention of Riya going away from him... She has to go... that's best for her safety... What Sameer told is correct... too many people results in easy exposure... that will lead to Riya's life in danger... NO... he cannot let that happen... She has to live... If that means he has to stay away from her, he will... Knowing that she is alive is enough for him... That's what all matters... He has to let her go...

A determined Arjun walked to a zombie looking Riya...

"Riya... come on... I will help you pack your bags..."

For a moment Riya looked to Arjun unbelievingly... Arjun took hold of her hand and lead her to room... After an hour the trio was all set to go... Riya had packed the necessary things with the help of Arjun . The packing was done in full silence... Neither Riya nor Arjun dared to break that silence... They were in full confusion with their inner turmoil's... With the each passing second Arjun and Riya were feeling restless... Arjun wanted to tell her that she matters most to him... He wants her back... But he knew, by telling that he is just being simply selfish...So he kept quiet... Riya also wanted to talk to Arjun ... But she understood that she will break down if she does so...So she also decided to keep quiet...

It was the time for them to go... They had already reached the airport and the flight was all ready...now, the most difficult part awaits them... the farewell... Sameer and Karan hugged Arjun ...Even though he hugged them back it was all mechanical... his mind was not working properly... He only knew one thing... Riya is going away... Perhaps this will be their last meeting... maybe they will never see again... but... but he can't make her stay back... It will be better if she go away... Arjun was confused, sad, hurt... he was restless with the sudden flood of emotions in him... he was looking at Riya...

Riya's position was no different... She was afraid that she will burst out any second... she don't wanted that to happen, at least not in front of Arjun ... what he will think when she herself is not aware of what's going on with her... her chain of thoughts were broken when it has announced the call for the passengers... For a last time Riya looked at Arjun ... Her baby brown eyes locked with a pair of hazel eyes... Those eyes possessed the same feeling- Pain...

CHAPTER 5

There was light everywhere. The trees were filled with bunch of white flowers. The atmosphere was giving a divine touch... he was waiting at the one end of the path impatiently... suddenly a beautiful girl clad in white salwar appeared on the other end of the path. She was walking like an angel. They both came soo close... he raised his hand to touch her milky skin... he was about to touch her... suddenly a white smoke came in between them... the next thing he know was she disappeared...

Arjun jerked from his sleep and sat up in his bed. Once again a dream... that was frustrating for him. Seeing the same face in his dream whom he is trying to forget, Riya, his Riya... it's been an year they had left... till now he haven't heard a word about them... but that didn't deprive of him the unknown feelings he have for Riya. He tried his best to forget her. But almost every day he end up seeing her in his dreams... What else could give him the pain than not seeing his special friend yet to live with her memories...He snapped out of his thoughts and went to get ready as he was going to his home, Kerala for the Onam celebrations. After a long time he was excited about something. He was excited about seeing his lovely mom after a whole one year... yeah, you heard correct... A whole one year... in the past one year, he never got the chance to go home, or we can just say, he never got the courage to face his mom. He knew, if she see him, within seconds she'll understand what is bothering him... first he himself had to make sure that he is not affected by the Riya's thoughts every now and then... That justifies his one year action plan of stay away from mom... but funny part is that, still he knows he is haunted by Riya's thoughts. It's like, no other girls exists in the whole universe... Everywhere its Riya only... He finally understood that he was fighting a losing battle. If he want to stay away from mom because of this very reason, he may end up not seeing her ever. So he decided, it was time for him to go... to the place where he belongs... to his home... to his mom-Sreevidya Raichand...

He woke up next day to the loud voice of a Chaiwala. He was speaking in some language which was unknown to him, probably Kannada... the sunshine coming through the window reminded him that its already morning. He came out of his coupe inorder to inhale some fresh air. As soon as he saw the board in the platform, he understood where he was. The train had reached Mangalore. That means his home is just a few hours away...

"Arjun ... your home is calling you... within a few minutes, you'll reach your Kerala..."

He murmured to himself... he was very much excited to step into his place after a long time. He just want to sit in his mom's lap, listen to her stories, wanna take bath in the natural pool, wanna go to temples, wanna feel the paddy fields, wanna give foods to the cattle... above all this, he wanted to enjoy the fresh air in his room... he was soo much excited like a child...

He turned away from the door and decided to go back to his room... he was walking soo carelessly as he was planning his days in home. Suddenly he bumped to someone who was just opening the door of the coupe... he snapped out of his thoughts and held the person by the waist so as to support... He looked at the person in his arm and for a minute, he couldn't believe his eyes... there she was... the person whom he was trying hard to forget yet not achieved success... his Riya... in his arms...

"Riya..." all that he could utter...

On the other hand Riya was too astounded to respond. Her baby brown eyes were wide in shock... but after the initial shock, her face gave away to the happiness, joy... just like Arjun 's... she hugged him tightly calling his name... Arjun also hugged her back as if he was in a trance... he couldn't believe his eyes... she was real... she was hugging him... he had to pinch himself to make sure of that... after few minutes, they parted themselves from each other as they became aware of their surroundings... Did he see Riya blushing? Arjun asked to himself...

"Arjun ..."

Riya and Arjun looked back to find the source of the voice. There they were, Sameer and Karan... happiness and shock written all over their face... Arjun went to them and invited them to a bone crushing hug. Those buddies were happy to see each other after a long time...

"Erm... Excuse me guys... just brake off from your hug... otherwise somebody will think that you are gays..."

Riya said with a pinch of jealousy as she was feeling left out. But Arjun was too smart to notice that. However he didn't want to start a fight as he was very much happy to have them back in his life, especially Riya...

They all settled in Arjun 's coupe and started telling about the past one year.

Sameer: "We roamed through different countries... It was really exciting... not doing anything and just having some fun..."

Arjun : "then how come you are here?"

Sameer: "Well... there is a limit for even fun... We started missing India badly... So we decided since we almost finished Global Darshan, we'll start Bharath Darshan...". He winked at Arjun .

Arjun (hesitantly): "Where are u going now?"

Karan: "Not yet decided... we will go till there where this train takes us... that's how we do things..."

Arjun looked at Riya... He could see the sadness appearing in her face. He has to do something. He can't lose her once again. If she goes this time, he may not able to see her ever. God has given him second chance to understand what is going on between him and Riya... What is that bond which they both shares... What is that feeling which brings tears in each others' eyes whenever they separates and reunites...

Arjun : "Well... in that case... (rubs hands in hesitation)... come to my home..."

He said the last sentence in one stretch and looked at three of them... Sameer and Karan were shocked with the sudden invitation whereas Riya's face was glowing in happiness. Karan easily noticed this. He was relieved seeing his baby sister genuinely smiling after a long time. He had to preserve that smile at any cost. Before Sameer could deny the offer, Karan said;

"Wow Arjun !!! That's a wonderful idea... We would be glad to come to you home..."

Arjun couldn't believe his own ears... What's that just Karan said... they are ready to come to his home... that means Riya too... he was in cloud nine... Riya was no different...her heart was dancing with Joy... Sameer looked at Karan as if he is questioning the sudden decision he just made... Karan gave an assuring smile to him... he looked at Arjun and Riya... A small smile crept in his lips.

"Well well well... The spark is on... it just needs some oil to brighten up..."

he thought to himself.

CHAPTER 6

Arjun woke up from the slumber as soon as a familiar smell hit his nostrils. He inhaled the air deeply... it was the smell of his village... a smell of nature... he could see the paddy fields in which he used to play cricket with his friends as a teenager... aah... he loved those days... the paddy fields.. nearby mountains... the famous temple... the plumeria tree nearby which always used to shed its white flowers so that the kids can collect them... Arjun 's mind went into a nostalgic mood... those days were the best days in his life... Eventhough Arjun 's family settled in Mumbai, in most of the vacations he used to spend in his father's place... it had an aesthetic beauty, still it has... it was a few years back his entire family shifted to Kerala... it was his father's wish... Even while fighting against the deadliest disease cancer, all that gentle man wished was to die in his home, the place where he was born and brought up... it was upto Arjun and his mom to fulfil father's wish... but they never regretted it. Eventhough Arjun rarely used to go home, he knew his mother will always be safe there...

Arjun 's mind darted back to reality as a lonely tear tried to escape his cheeks. He quickly wiped his tear and checked whether anyone have seen it. To his lucky all others were sleeping except Arjun and the driver... Sameer, Riya and Karan were in back seat sleeping. Arjun could see Riya's reflection in rear view mirror.. She was looking absolutely beautiful. Her head was resting in Sameer's shoulder. The occasional sunrays falling in her cheeks gave her a divine glow..

"I wish it was You and Me alone", Arjun thought to himself.

Arjun 's DRINKING THE BEAUTY OF RIYA mission was stopped by a herd of sheep who jumped infront of the car from nowhere... The car abruptly came to a halt and it woken up the trio... It was Riya who got up first.

Riya: "Are we there yet?"

Arjun : "Well... Almost... did you see this paddy fields... we have to walk through that to reach home..."

Riya looked at the direction Arjun was pointing her... it was a beautiful sight to watch... the paddy fields were appearing like a green carpet..

Riya : "Wow... Then what are we waiting for... Let's go..."

Riya was about to open the door, then suddenly Arjun stopped her. Riya looked at him questioningly...

Arjun : "Not yet Riya... Did you see that bridge infront of us? We can go in car till the end of it... from there we have to walk..."

Riya: "But that bridge is near na... Why can't we walk?"

Sameer (already irritated as his sleep got disturbed): "Ri, Arjun is right... What is the need of walking when we car cover the distance in car... Arjun , let's go."

Riya (in her mind): Oh, these boys... (to everyone) What is the need of going in car when we can cover the distance by our feet? You people come in car... I am gonna walk... by the way, I am not lazy like you guys..."

With this she opened the door and stepped out. The three men looked at each other helplessly. After a moment's hesitation they also joined her in the walk but with luggages on their back.. they looked at the girl walking infront of them... She was not walking, infact she was jumping by seeing the beauty of nature. A small smile crept in Arjun 's lips.

Karan: " Arey oyy jungly billy... Stop jumping... Warna people will think that you are mad..."

Riya: "Karan Bhayya... Aap kuch bhi kaho... You can't stop me this time... look... I have never been in such a place before... how calm and serene... hey, look at the pond... there are water lilies... I want those... Karan Bhaiyya please... "

Karan looked at the water lilies... they were abundant in that place... he knew Riya will never stop eating his brain until he gave her the flowers... he looked at the imported jeans he was wearing and then looked at Sameer helplessly... On the other hand Sameer was having fun watching their chit chats...

Sameer: "Ri... not now... we'll get you those flowers later... Did you forget that Arjun 's mom will be waiting for us? It is not good to keep her waiting for soo long, is it? (Riya nodded) that's my good girl... So, let's go..." Riya went with Sameer like an obedient child... Karan sighed

Karan (To Arjun ): "Phew... That girl... she is a fire cracker man... Today i thought my imported jeans is gone... thank God, Sameer saved my neck in time... otherwise i would have been in that pond plucking flowers for her..."

Arjun laughed at Karan's reaction. He said to himself;

"You could have asked me Riya... I would have got it for you..."

The foursome reached in front of a home which was built in ethnic Kerala Style... It was called Naalu Kettu' in Malayalam.

"Wow..." Riya exclaimed drinking the beauty of the house.

Arjun : "You know Riya, this house is 300 years old..."

Riya looked at Arjun in shock. Situation was no different for Sameer and Karan also... Arjun laughed at their reaction.

Arjun : "Don't worry... it's not going to fall down... it's my father's ancestral house... these kind 0f houses are common in Kerala and I bet these houses are far stronger than the concrete buildings... you should see the way they have built it... there are a lot of markings in the pillars which not even the cryptographers were able to crack...My father used to tell me, his grand grand grand fathers' had hired the most efficient people to built the house..."

Arjun 's eyes glowed in pride

Riya: "Oh Arjun ... You have a nice house here... I can see its outer beauty... If your talk is over, can we go inside...? I am dying to see the inside as well..."

Arjun chuckled at her question and was about to say something suddenly he heard someone calling him... He closed his eyes as soon as heard the voice... he could feel the affection in that voice, the yearning, the desperation... he knew, the voice belongs to none other than his Mom, Sreevidya Raichand... He opened his eyes and there she was... in the door step, waiting for him, her arms stretched towards him...

He no longer could control his feelings... he ran towards his mom and hugged her tightly like a kid... Tears were flowing from Sreevidya's eyes... She kissed him in his cheeks and forehead... Riya, Sameer and Karan were looking at them emotionally... they felt the pain, happiness and pleasure Arjun and Sreevidya were going through... They thanked the God for making them the witnesses of such a wonderful moment... Atlast, a kid has returned to his rightful place, his mom's lap...

After an emotional welcome, Sreevidya parted herself from her son. That is when she noticed the others... She looked at the two handsome boys infront of her and then at the girl standing in middle of them... Sreevidya's eye stuck in that girl... that girl was soo beautiful... she was like an innocent angel fallen down to earth...

Arjun (hugging his mom from behind): "Mom, I forgot to introduce... These two are my partners in crime, Sameer and Karan... And this is... their little sister Riya..."

Sreevidya smiled softly at them. Her eyes darted to Riya... by seeing Riya, Sreevidya's eyes softened... She felt an ache in her heart seeing her... She couldn't understand why... It was like her heart was telling her that Riya is in need of love... she slowly took her step towards Riya... Riya was also looking at her intensely... Sreevidya touched Riya's face with her hands, Riya closed her eyes feeling the touch... She felt altogether different sensation... the touch reminder her of the fact that how much she missed her mother...a tear trickled down through Riya's face... Sreevidya wiped that tear with her finger and kissed Riya's forehead... She took Riya's hand in hers and led her inside...

Sameer, Karan and Arjun were witnessing this dumbfounded... Sameer and Karan could feel the pain of Riya... Arjun was too dumbstruck by his mom's behaviour... he have never seen her behave in that way... what had just happened between his mom and Riya that he missed to notice, he thought to himself... Nevertheless, he was happy... His mom had taken fond of his choice even though she doesn't know anything about it...

CHAPTER 7

The day gave its way to night. Sameer was walking along the fences of Arjun 's house. Sameer was now happy for the decision they have taken. The past one year was hectic for Riya. She hardly smiled. After coming to Arjun 's home, he could see the old Riya back, the chirpy, noicy yet sweet Riya. Moreover she got to know what it is to have a mother. Sreevidya, Arjun 's mom had taken a liking for her from the moment she saw her. Sameer was glad that Ri got to know this feeling... A tear trickled down through his cheeks thinking about that...

Karan: "OMG!!! What am I seeing? The great Sameer is crying???? I am shocked..."

Sameer looked at Karan angrily who was just coming to his direction..

Sameer: "Karan, you and your sense of humour... Hamesha galath time pe aathe ho..."

Karan: "Kya karoom, aaadath ho gaye he... by the way, what happened that from MACHOMAN you became MELODRAMA QUEEN?"

Sameer: "Bass kar yaar... I was thinking about Ri"

Karan: "What happened to her?"

Sameer: "Nothing... i was thinking how happy she is now... Arjun 's mom is really taking care of her, isn't she?"

Karan; "Of course yes.. Hey did you forget what happened today when we had our dinner?"

Sameer (Smiling): "No... How can I forget that...?"

***Flashback***

Sameer and Karan got settled in Arjun 's room. It was indeed big. So they decided to stay in one room with Arjun . Sreevidya had given Riya another room so that she can have all the privacy she want. It was dinner time... Sreevidya served them traditional Kerala food. Everyone was enjoying the tasty food. Suddenly Riya started screaming. Everyone got panicked seeing her... Nobody understood as to why she is screaming... tears were flowing from her eyes... But amidst all of them, it was Sreevidya who looked calm. Infact she was smiling... she went inside and took a bowl of sugar and gave it to Riya. Riya swallowed the sugar in one gulp and then the tears stopped. It was then all the men understood the reason behind Riya's tears... the chilly... it was enough for all of them to laugh together... But Sameer and Karan didn't fail to notice the care Arjun 's mom had for Riya

****Flashback ends***

Sameer: "Karan... I am glad that we came here"

Karan: "Now you are talking sense... When I took this decision, I thought you'll eat me..."

Sameer (Laughing at Karan's expression): "Ob baba... I am sorry... Now let's go inside, warna our pyari sis will come searching for us..."

They both walked towards the house silently wishing for the happiness in their sister's life...

The morning rays of sun filtered through the windowpanes and fell on Riya's face... She stirred in sleep, irritated... She slowly opened her eyes and looked at her watch, it was only 6 am... she cursed the sun for making her get up soo early... she again snuggled in her bed hoping to find sleep again... that was then she heard the sound of a cattle followed by Sreevidya's voice... Riya slowly stepped out of her bed and went outside. As soon as she stepped out of the house, a cool wind touched her. For a moment Riya closed her eyes savouring the breeze... as she opened her eyes, she felt the morning different. She has never seen such a lovely morning. She never knew, the nature was soo amazing in the early morning. There were birds everywhere chirping... cool wind was blowing continuously... small insects was running here and there... Butterflies were dancing... Riya had to pinch herself from realising that it was not a dream... Riya's mind came to earth as she heard Sreevidya's voice again... she was talking to somebody... Curious, Riya walked towards the direction. There she was in the backyard sitting near a cattle... and... She was talking to the cattle???

Riya: "Aunty, what are you doing here?"

Sreevidya looked up at the direction... she smiled at Riya and gestured her to come and sit near her. Riya did as she said.

Sreevidya: "Riya, this is Malu... My beloved cattle... I am milking her..."

Riya (excited): "Wow!!! Really? I have only seen this in film... can I try for once?"

Sreevidya: "Why not... here...try..."

Sreevidya showed her how to do that and after a few attempts, Riya was able to do it properly... Riya was soo excited that she was giggling like a small kid. Sreevidya looked at her and smiled...

7 AM

Sameer and Karan were sleeping peacefully cuddling to each other. Arjun had gone for a shower and he came out wearing his towel... he was drying his hair when he heard a knock on the room... As he opened the door, he felt his heart beats stop. He blinked his eyes as to check if he is dreaming... he stared at the sight infront of him, his Riya... that too in Kerala attire... Set Sari...

On the other hand, Riya too was in another world... She just saw Arjun infront of her... that too he was not wearing a shirt... water was flowing from his hairs and it was kissing his perfect body... She saw the way Arjun stared at her... Riya's cheek became red as she blushed under his intense stare... It was Karan's voice that broke their trance...

Karan had heard the knock and got up. He couldn't believe his own eyes seeing Riya.

Karan: "Riyaa... is that really You?"

Riya smiled at Karan's expression...

Sameer (sleepy): "Karan... how many times should i tell you not to yell when i am sleeping... you never listen to me... you better..."

Sameer's voice died halfway as he saw Riya... now it was the time for Sameer to get shocked... Riya looked at the three men standing infornt of her, with shock clearly written all over their face... she started laughing seeing their expression...

Karan (coming out of the shock): "Ri... what happend to you? You were really beautiful before... now you have just became an...an... auntiji..."

Karan burst out into laughter saying this... Riya stopped laughing... her cheeks became red in angry..

Sameer: "Oh Oh... some ones in trouble"

The next moment all they could see is Riya chasing Karan with a pillow in her hand... it took quite a hell of Sameer's strength to catch Riya...

Riya (hissing at Karan): "this time you escaped because of Sameer bhaiyya... next time no one will save you from me... (Pouting) I hate you Karan Bhaiyya..."

Karan: "But I love you my crazy sis..."

Though a small smile appeared in her lips hearing this, Riya tried to became serious.

Riya: "Now three of you listen... you have exact half an hour to get ready... we are going for temple..."

Karan: "Oh no Riya... not for temple... You know that i feel bored there..."

Riya: "Acha bachu... you feel bored there hah? Very well, then we are going to temple only... you teased me and now you are gonna pay...I don't want to hear anything..."

With this she left the room. Karan looked at Sameer for help.

Sameer: "Don't look at me that way... this time I am not gonna help you... the Hitler is on loose... so you better get ready"

Karan stomped his feet and went towards bathroom... before entering the bathroom, her threw a backward glance to Arjun who was standing near the door like a statue and staring at the way Riya went. Karan smirked seeing that;

"Game on Arjun ... I wanna know how long you both suppress your feelings towards each other..."

CHAPTER 8

As per the Hitler's' order, everyone got ready within half an hour. Arjun was wearing shirt and Dhothi which was Kerala traditional dress. He was looking soo handsome in that. Riya couldn't take her eye off him. This was the second time on that day that Arjun clean bowled her with his looks. First one without shirt and this one with shirt... Riya blushed deeply thinking about this. This didn't go unnoticed by Arjun ...

"Oh man... if she is gonna blush like this, I'm gonna have heart attack... how can someone be soo beautiful... When she looks at me with those baby brown eyes, it's like I can't see anything else... I am getting drowned in those eyes... Arjun ... don't behave like a teenage guy yaar... get a grip on yourself..."

Arjun scolded himself mentally...

All four of them set out to go to temple which was located within a 5 minutes' walk from Arjun 's home... everyone was walking enjoying the nature's beauty... Riya was ahead of all of them... eventhough the sari had put restriction to her excitement by preventing her from jumping; it couldn't stop her from giggling like a small kid.

"Bhaiyya Dekho... how beautiful this place is... see those butterflies... beautiful..."

Sameer and Karan looked at her smiling... Arjun was not in this world as he was busy admiring his angel.

Suddenly Riya stopped walking... She was standing infront of a Plumeria tree and was looking upward... The tree was filled with white flowers... some flowers were fallen down in the road which appeared like a flower carpet... Riya was mesmerized by the flowers...

She wanted to pluck those flowers.. She tried to pluck those flowers by jumping. But it was not within Riya's reach... She tried again and again, but no result... her face which was brightened till now lost its glory... Sameer and Karan knew what is in store for them. So before Riya could ask them to get the flowers, Sameer said:

"Ri... don't be sad... We'll get the flowers... But not now... Now let's go to temple... Ok?"

Riya nodded her head eventhough she badly needed the flower... Arjun was behind them witnessing this whole scene... As the others started walking, Arjun stopped infront of the Plumeria tree. He looked at the flowers and then at Riya...a small smile crept in his lips...

The first thing Riya did after coming from the temple was helping Arjun 's mom in kitchen... eventhough Riya doesn't know the ABCD of cooking, she liked to be near to Arjun 's mom... it was with a lot of Sreevidya's persuasion, Riya decided to go to her room and take rest... But before going she didn't forget to give Sreevidya a kiss to which sreevidya smiled wholeheartedly...

As soon as Riya entered her room, she felt a difference in the atmosphere... To her utter astonishment there were a handful of Plumeria flowers in her bed... Her face lit up as she took it in her hand... she was thinking as tow ho kept it there... she was about to go and search for the person, suddenly Arjun came inside... Riya's heart skipped a beat... she slowly took his name

"Arjun ..."

His name felt soo divine from her lips... Arjun started walking towards her... Riya, unknowingly started taking her steps backward... they kept walking until Riya's back touched the wall... Arjun came close to her... soo close to her that in one move, Arjun 's lips will touch Riya's rosy lips... slowly slowly Arjun leaned towards her ear and whispered,

"I have never seen a girl more beautiful than you Riya..."

Riya's cheeks turned red hearing this... she lowered her head so as to avoid his gaze... Arjun smiled at her reaction... he gently touched her chin and made her look straight... he could see a whirlpool of emotions in those baby brown eyes...Riya closed her eyes shyly... he took a plumeria flower from Riya's hand. He slowly placed it in Riya's hair...

"Open your eyes Riya... now you are perfect... This is my Riya..."

Riya was astonished by the power of his words... he touched her cheeks with his fingers and smiled... He leaned closer to her and gave her a small kiss in her forehead. Slowly, slowly Arjun took his step backwards and went out of the room... Riya stood there dazed... After a few minutes Riya ran towards the mirror and looked at her reflection... she traced her ear near to which he had kept the flower... she felt that she is seeing altogether different Riya in the mirror... She murmured to herself;

"Now you are perfect... Arjun 's Riya"

In Arjun's house every evening Sreevidya used to light the lamp. It was a Kerala tradition. But that evening witnessed a change... Instead of Sreevidya, it was Riya who lit the lamp... Arjun , Sameer and Karan were sitting outside immersed in conversation. Suddenly they heard Sreevidya chanting the shlokas. Arjun stood up folding his hand followed by Sameer and Karan... After praying to God for a few minutes, Arjun opened his eyes only to see Riya walking towards them with an oil lamp in her hand... in the absolute darkness, the lamp in her hand was the only source of light... Till now he has only noticed how childish, how cute, how sweet, how georgeous his Riya is... But first time he noticed how divine she is...In the light her face had another glow... her eyes were sparkling... Arjun felt that she is a goddess who had come to earth...just for him...

On the other hand Riya saw the spark in Arjun's eyes... She was feeling shy to look at him... But she had to control her expression as her brothers are with Arjun . She could imagine what Arjun is thinking right now... Because, she herself was thinking the same... She has heard from Arjun's mom that if we truly prayed to the lamp that we are lighting, our wish will come true... it is said that the lamp in the evening time is an offering we are making to God... She silently prayed to the lamp in her hand that her Arjun's all wish come true...
