CHAPTER 1

She looked around her and saw that the coast is clear. She quickly took out her gloves from her bag and put them on. She put the gloves on the wall and started scaling up the building. After reaching her destination, she puts her foot on the balcony and jumps inside the railing. Hearing her feet make a loud thud she winces but the glass covers the noise. She noiselessly opens the balcony door and slips inside and closes it. she tiptoes around the sofa and stops herself before she hits the lamp. Manuerving herself silently around the sofa, she walks steathlily towards her destination. As she passes one room, she pauses. She wants to go ahead but curiosity got the better of her and she opens the door of that room. she peeks inside and sees that he is sleeping peacefully. Heaving a sign of relief, she leaves the door a little ajar and finally reaches her destination. Her face turns into a soft smile seeing the two bundles on the bed. She closes the door softly and before she could turn two pairs of hands engulfed her. she smiles and turns around and hugs both of them. Aryan said "we knew that you would come di." Riya smiles hugging both of them tightly. Breaking the hug, both anoushka and Aryan wiped the tears in her eyes. Anoushka said "no tears pushpa." Riya chuckles wiping her tears and led them to their bed. They sat down on the bed with their legs folded and riya removed her bag and sat with them. As soon as she sat they made sit in the middle of the bed and put their heads on her lap. She strokes their hair her eyes filling up again as she knows that this is the last time this is going to happen.

Ary: di, why can't you stay with us?

Ano: yes di, you should stay with us. We will explain everything to papa. He will understand.

Ri: how is arjun sir treating you both?

Anoushka and Aryan heaved a sign and said "somewhere, he has still got reservations about us. especially after finding out that the dna report is false."

Riya heaved a sign. She knew that it is going to take time for arjun sir to accept them but yet she hoped that it will not be too much time. She wants them to have a normal life. A life with a family. Not like a life like hers. She said "give him some time. He will melt." Anoushka got up and said "of course he will met. Who will ever dare to defy the 3 musketeers?" riya laughed. Aryan asks "di, when is anjali going to join us?" riya grimaced and said "I have to convince her. and I think we all know that she does'nt get easily convinced." Aryan said "di, we all also know that she won't come here unless you are with us. why can't you leave all of this and join us? you also have a right to a normal life di." Riya kisses aryan's forehead and said "don't worry Aryan. I am happy with my life as it is. But you all should remain safe no matter what."

Ano: so is this the last time you are meeting us di?

Before riya could answer her phone vibrated. At the same time, she heard arjun's door open and signaled Aryan and anoushka to sleep. She stood behind the door. Arjun opened the door and peeked in. riya stiffens not even daring to breath just in case she gets caught. He comes inside and adjusts the blanket around both of them. the door covered riya. Arjun stands at the entrance and a tired sign is heard by riya. He closes the door and riya heaves a relief sign. She then takes out her phone and her eyes widen seeing the message. She thought "oh god! now what new game is being played by sikander?"

Chapter 2

Riya's viewpoint

They say that when you have a family, you will cross all limits just to ensure that your family is happy. For the first time, I realized that what they said is not only true but also an implication of human nature. For the first time since I was born, I realized the bile in my throat as fear. Fear for losing aisha. I never met aisha. I only saw her from far away, and crossed paths with her when she was unaware of it. but I saw how from a sturdy, independent, and strict officer she became chotu and shree's friend, arjun sir contradictor and companion and rathore sir's partner. If she is lost then everyone in that team will this time drown in grief. For this time I knew they might not handle the pain.

I was on my knees directly above them listening in to their conversation. I was so near to them yet so far away. They would never know that I am near them. that I had given them a part of my heart. They would never know the limits I would cross for them and to what extent I would go just to ensure that they won't suffer as I did. They will never know the real me just the riya who was the first ETF officer and in the end is a betrayer to them.

I shake myself out of my thoughts and listen in to their conversation. I cannot almost hear the tangible hearts broken over the video. Yet, I saw in them a hope that this video is not real. That their aisha cannot do like this. unfortunately, they were wrong but also right. aisha could never do this but I know that someone who made her do this. in order to find him I need the video. I take out my tablet and open the program for hacking into the ETF database. I know that shree would have strengthened the security of the database but hey they don't call me the best in the hacking world for nothing. I quickly started working on the hacking into the security network. I got in within seconds. It was easy. Too easy. My ears pricked hearing the footsteps coming up the terrace. Oh shit! What the hell. It was a trap. Great stupidity riya. I quickly swung my backpack around my shoulder and climbed onto the railing ready to jump when arjun shouted "riya stop." I stopped and raising my hands I turned around. I could'nt not do what he says. After all he is my mate. Another thing which I am going to make sure he is unaware of. I asked with a smile on my face and my heartbeats beating like drums "how did you know I was here?". Shree, chotu, sameer who had come out into the terrace at that time had raised their guns pointing at me. their hands did'nt shake and I knew they would shoot. I said smilingly but this time my heart sinking at another game I have to play with them "guys, come on you cannot shoot me." shree said with the anger evident in his voice "give us one reason not to." I put my hand under my cheek thinking and then said the one word which would make their heart hate me but filled with hope "aisha." Everyone's faces registered expression of shock except arjun and rathore sir. Then he and rathore sir did something which surprised everyone including karan, sakshi and liza who by that time arrived at the terrace. They took their guns back and placed it into their holsters. Rathore sir said "shree, chotu put your guns down." Shree and chotu were going to protest but a look from rathore sir silenced them. arjun came forward one step and I took a step back. Huffing irritatingly he said "riya don't be ridiculous. You are going to fall and die. You have got nowhere to go." oh so they thought that I had no escape that is why they had put their guns down. I smirked internally that they have no idea about the extent of my capabilities. I looked down with a speculative expression and said "arjun sir, remember that case where you had told me to wear a short dress and then to try to climb the railing?" arjun sir cautiously nodded his head. I asked "what did I ask at that time sir?" his expression became wide with worry and I noticed everyone wear a similar expression of worry on their faces. I smiled and said "don't worry. Nothing will happen to me. I will meet you later on." Arjun sir made a grab for me but by that time I had jumped. And landed on the ground on my two feet. I stared up at them enjoying the shock registered on their face and walked whistling into the night. Now that I have got the video, I will know where he is. And I will save aisha before she suffers the fate I consider even worse than death. Whatever it takes he has to pay. I have to fulfill my promise to him and I will.
