Chapter 5

Ais: riya.

And the next second she crumpled down to the ground. Riya immediately rushed towards her and checks her pulse to feel it beating steadily. She looks up as the car ambles towards them and comes to a stop. Karan and simran step out and immediately cover their noses.

Kar: what the? she's them.

Ri: no, she is becoming them. we have to get her out of here before they come and find her.

Kar: no, we should not. Riya, she halfway gone. Its no use taking her back now. It's a huge risk.

Ri: I am not leaving her karan. And somewhere I know. she won't be like them.

Sim: riya, consider the situation. She is becoming like them. and when she becomes, it will be a huge danger not only for you but for all of us. are you willing to risk the team for what you are feeling?

Riya remains silent as karan and simran exchange a knowing glance. They know riya won't take any risk with the team. Riya looks upto them "okay, you are right. it is a risk." Both of them heave a sign of relief.

Kar: good, you understood. So leave her there and lets get the hell out of here.

Ri: we are taking her to my place.

Kar and sim: WHAT?

Ri: all the equipments I require to monitor her is in my place. There is also a room where she can be kept safely. She will be safe at my place and no risk to anyone also.

Kar: riya, are u nuts? You will be in danger and we can't risk that.

Ri: I am not leaving her karan get that point in your head. So either you help me pick her up and take her to my place or I will do it myself.

Karan gives her a glare. Both karan and simran exchange a helpless glance and proceed to help riya to carry aisha back to her place.

Kar: it's a bad idea riya. I am telling you again. Once she is bonded, she won't be able to function as herself.

Riya does'nt say anything just continues to stroke aisha's hair. Within 20 minutes, they reach a bungalow covered with fortified walls. Riya opens the gates electronically and they all go in. they stop at the entrance of the house. Riya opens the door and is going to hold aisha when karan said "I will carry her." riya looks at him and he said "I am your bodyguard. So I will carry her. besides if she becomes out of control, I will be able to control her better.". riya does'nt say anything just gives a dimple smile to karan. Karan carries aisha to the bedroom on the ground floor. He places aisha on the bed and backs giving space to riya to examine her.

Ri: simran, help me bring all the equipment into this room.

Both riya and simran go out while karan takes out his phone and calls him.

Riya checks aisha's temperature and heartbeat and hearing the knock on the door she said "come in." turning around her face hardens seeing samrat.

Ri: karan called.

Sam: yeah, he did. I don't understand what do you think you are doing? You know she is a lost case.

Ri: she is a lost case only when we lose hope. And I won't lose hope.

Sam: riya, start thinking from your head and not from your heart. She is infected. That means sooner or later they are going to find her and make her bound to them. And if they find out that you are with her their first order for her will be to kill you.

Ri: I don't care samrat. I am not going to give up.

Sam: fine, but if she attacks or harms any one of my team I am going to shoot her. understand?

Ri: understood.

Samrat walks out of the room but not before giving a glance at riya who is again checking aisha's vitals.

Karan and simran is waiting for him in the hall.

Kar: well?

Sam: she is not listening.

Sim: told you she won't.

Kar: I don't get it. why she is so attached to them when they are the reason she is in trouble? Everyone of them is bad news especially that arjun suryankant rawte.

Sam: karan, cribbing won't do any good. You know her. she won't give up.

Sim: what if the oracle says is true? What is they are the ones who will change the course of this war?

Kar: even if the prophecy is true, riya is going to make sure that they are untouched by this. I know her. she is already feeling guility for not able to save aisha. Samrat, did you set aisha up as bait?

Samrat did'nt say anything just looked at karan. Karan looks steadily back at him unflinching in his stare.

Sam: no, I did'nt.

Kar: then how the hell did they know about her?

Sim: a mole?

Sam: possibly, but where? In our office or in theirs? Or...

All of them jumped hearing a smashing sound in aisha's room. taking out their weapons, they rushed to the room and samrat kicked it open only for them to see a disbelieveing scene.

Chapter 6

A few minutes before,

Riya checks aisha temperature and her face creases with worry feeling the coldness of her skin. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she feels her power rising and directs it into increasing the temperature of aisha. After feeling that it is more than enough, riya removes her hand from aisha's wrist and gets up from the bed. Walking upto the table she opens the bottle and takes a long drink of water. Spinning around, she is startled to see aisha sitting upright on the bed. Aisha is looking left and right, a strange expression on her face.

Ri: aisha, you are awake. How are you feeling?

Aisha's head turns at her voice and she continues to look at her with a quizzled expression on her face. her face then brightens as her eyes become as black as darkness.

Ri: aisha, don't you remember me?

Aisha got up from the bed and falls to the floor on her knees. Riya kneels in front of her and said "aisha,are you okay." The next second riya spun around, her back pressed to aisha's front and aisha said "blood."

Riya's eyes widen and she starts to struggle in aisha's arms. Aisha bents her head and said in a seductive manner "shsh, relax. I won't hurt you." but riya continues to struggle and aisha squeezes her more tightly and said "I said relax." Riya's eyes burns as she presses her hand to aisha's hand. Aisha yelps jumping back and looks at her arm severely burned. Riya said "snap out of it aisha. Come into your senses." But aisha continues to grin at her, tiny teeth appearing at the edges of her mouth. The next second, she slams riya into a mirror and catches her by the throat.

The door opens the next second revealing samrat, karan and simran. They rush towards aisha and tries to pry her from riya. But aisha just throws then off and said "I will have your blood princess. My master commands it." riya's eyes widen hearing the words from aisha. She catches hold of aisha's hand and is immediately in aisha's mind. She hears a voice whispering "take her blood and come to me my dear. Come on do it." she thought "oh no, you are not going to take her that easily." She starts whispering and slowly, slowly aisha's grip on her throat is loosening. Finally, her throat is free and riya comes to the ground her hand still on aisha's hand. Aisha falls down to the floor as riya opens her eyes. riya kneels down before aisha as aisha stares at her comphrehension of what she was doing dawning on her face. she stares at riya with devastation clearly written on her face as riya slowly whispers "shhh, go to sleep. You are fine. Go to sleep." Aisha's eyes closes and the next instant riya is slumped to the ground.

As simran helps riya up and karan puts aisha back to the bed, samrat stares at the scene impassively. He remembers what was told.

Flashback

7 yr old samrat is kneeling along with his mother and father in front of his elders, their faces hidden by the cloak they have dawned. Their heads are bowed in submission. Samrat is in awe at the candles sparkling gently in the darkness and spots of light roaming around the room. his heart quickens hearing the elders say "it seems that you have got a sister samrat."

Sam: yes, guruji.

Jai: is there a problem guruji?

Gu: no, but the times ahead will now lead to the fulfillment of the prophecy.

Sam: what prophecy?

His father glares at him but the guruji chuckles.

Guru: don't be angry jai. The boy is curious. Your boy will also have a major role in this prophecy jai. Train him well.

Jai: yes guruji.

They left the chamber samrat's ears rining with guruji words.

Flashback ends.

Samrat thought "till now, I was apprehensive riya but now I am sure that it is time for the fulfillment of the prophecy. You my sister is the key to our survival and for the rise of power. It is time to get our rule back and you are going to ensure that."
