CHAPTER 1

Riya sat at the empty chair in the conference hall watching all of them discuss their case. The latest case was of the murder of mr suraj kapoor who had been found at an alleyway near the club. Although, everyone assumed at first that it was a drug overdose since he was a drug dealer but their whole perspective on the case changed when they found out that suraj was an undercover agent for the cbi and they were building a case against the drug lord shekhar shekhawat. Suraj had found out a drug warehouse of shekhar but before he could relay the information, he was killed. Everyone got up and suited themselves up to go and raid the warehouse. Riya watched impassively, as shree and chotu joked about having to cancel dinner plans because of this case. She rode in the back of the car as all of them went to the warehouse.

Arjun could'nt help but feel off these past couple of days. He could'nt help but feel someone near by but whenever he looked he could'nt see anyone. He shook his head and shoved the thoughts out of his mind to concentrate on the raid. Everyone took their positions and held the guns at the ready. They entered the warehouse and the gunfight started. Arjun and sameer covered each other. Finally they caught shekhar and along with him suraj's senior who had killed suraj so that no one found out that he had been taking bribes. After the police took both of them away, they started inspection of the drugs and bagged it. Arjun wandered around to see if they had left any evidence behind. A man who the ETF had missed was hiding behind some crates. He took the stick beside him and went stealthily behind arjun to hit him. arjun heard someone scream "ARJUN SIR." he turned and the stick hit the front of his forehead. But he caught the stick and kicked the man. Others came rushing hearing the sounds and arrested him. sameer asked "rawte, are you okay?". Arjun said "yeah, I am fine." Sakshi shouted "blood." Arjun put his hand on his forehead and saw that it was covered in blood. He was going to fall but sameer caught him and he shouted for an ambulance. Arjun slowly started losing consciousness. His sight is going dark but not before he notices her kneeling beside him and putting her hand on his face said "you are going to be fine arjun sir."

Arjun slowly opened his eyes and sees that he is in the hospital room. the doctor comes and checks him and goes outside to tell everyone that he is okay. Everyone breathes a sign of relief and come into the room. sakshi came and stood beside his bed and asked "arjun, are you okay?".

Ar: sakshi, I think there is something wrong with your hearing. Did you hear what the doctor clearly said or should we get your hearing checked?

Sakshi grimaced while sameer, chotu and shree his their smiles. Arjun tried to get up and refused the help aisha offered. He then heard a voice say "akdu person. to take help also he is arrogant." He looked around the room and said "who said that?". They looked at him in confusion. Sameer said "who said what?". Arjun said "right now, someone said something." Sameer rolled his eyes and said "rawte, I think you took a hard hit to the head. Why don't you take rest while we go home?. Due to your injury no one has gone home. So please allow us to take some rest also."

Arjun said "I never said for anyone to stay back at the hospital." Before sameer could retort, the doctor came in and told that the since some tests had to be done and they had to keep arjun in the hospital for at least one week.

Arj: no, I am not staying in the hospital.

Sam: you are staying and not leaving till the doctors say so.

Arj: and why should I listen to you?

Sam: because I am the chief and you are my responsibility. So you are staying. That's my final decision. Samjhe ya samjhau?

Arjun could'nt do anything so he sulked. Sakshi offers to stay back but seeing arjun's glare, she got it that he does'nt want that. everyone leaves and the doctor gives him a sedative to make him sleep.

After a few hours, arjun gets up feeling groggy and sluggish. He is feeling thirsty. He sees that there is a jar of water at the table near the window. he gets up slowly and walks towards the table. He felt dizzy and is unable to hold himself. He is going to fall down when he felt someone holding him by his hands. looking at the hands, he sees that they are dainty and feminine. Slowly, his eyes travels from the hands to the shoulders and finally reaches the face. His eyes become wide in shock gazing into the worried doe-shaped eyes and the name came to his lips as naturally as breathing. "riya."
