Part-2

One week passed just like that and there was still no progress in the case. Since that day Riya didn't talk to Arjun until it's necessary or related to the case. She ordered his cutting chai but send it to him by Liza coz after that day even Choree started ignoring him as much as possible. She avoided being alone with him. Most of the time they went to their home separately coz he remained in the office till late as per his n Sam's meetings with higher officials regarding the case so when he reached home, Riya was already fast asleep n in the morning they both were in so much hurry to reach office that they couldn't find time to talk to each other but whenever they got even a little time, Arjun tried to spend some moments with her but she made herself busy with phone every time n showed as if she was discussing something important regarding the case or whenever they left the office together, Riya choose to remain silent and kept looking outside the window of the car until they reached home. Arjun mistook her ignorance to be her tiredness n hecticness. He also knew that since the case had arrived there wasn't a day when they haven't had to work hard to find some lead which would prove crucial in solving the case but till now they got nothing n so he thought that she might be tired or so as she is still weak. That's why he didn't take it that seriously. But he was so badly missing her childish antics, her liveliness, her nonstop chatter-patter n her heart-warming smile which always make his day. Her mere presence beside him sufficed to calm him, filled his heart with lot of happiness n ease all his tension. He so wanted to take her in his arms n hug her tightly but couldn't do so coz of their quite hectic schedule n all this were taking a toll on him.

Actually Arjun had completely forgotten that how he rebuked her n that too in the presence of their colleagues coz since that day he got so much occupied with the investigation of case n the meetings with higher officials that he didn't get even a moment to think over it n as the time passes it completely slipped his mind. Moreover Riya didn't want to create even a slightest doubt in Samsha's mind that there is some problem between her n Arjun. So she was trying to behave as normally as possible n avoid being near him without any reason. In short didn't show any sign of resentfulness for the way he behaved with her.

Finally after lot of hard work, they got the much needed lead coz of Riya's out of the box thinking which helped them to gather some valuable proofs against the culprits. After making a full proof plan, they attacked their secret hide out. The cross firing was started n the ETF members succeeded to gun down most of the goons. Everything was going on perfectly but suddenly a goon came from nowhere n fired a bullet in Sam's direction but Aisha saved him in the nick of time but in the process, she herself got slightly injured n doctor advised her for 10 days rest. Even Riya was looking quite dull n exhausted. Samjun knew that over exertion is not good for her health, so they both decided to give her leave of some days along with Aisha.

Riya's mom took both of them with her along with Samar coz Samjun couldn't take care of them as they both have to deal with the further proceedings of the case for which they may have to stay till late in the office.

(Riya's mom shared a great bond with all of them. She is more like a friend to them n they all shared almost everything with her. Samjun even take her advice to appease their angry wives most of the times. Aisha being orphan treated her like her own mother n she too pampered her exactly like Riya. She was Aisha's biggest support when she was pregnant with her first child n there were some complications in her delivery. After delivery Aisha became very weak but her immense love n care made her perfectly fine with in some months. She even considered Samar her first grandchild n loves him a lot).

At night, after when Arjun's meeting with his seniors was over, he called up Riya to know about her health but she didn't pick up the phone. He thought that she might be sleeping so it's better not to disturb her n would talk to her later. In the morning also the same thing happened n that tensed him up. He tried to talk to Aisha but he got busy tone coz she was busy in talking with Sam at that time when he called her mobile which made him worried sick. Finally he called her at her landline number. His anxiousness kept on increasing until her mom picked up the phone. Before she could even complete a word, he bombarded her with questions.

Riya's mom:- Hel... (Arjun cut her short).

Arjun:- Mom it's me Arjun. Where is Riya...???? Is she alright...????? Is everything ok with her,,,????? Plzzz mom tell me is there anything to worry about...????? R u there mom...???? Why r u not replying...????? Plzzz mom say something. Mom.. mom.. are you listening...?????

Riya's mom:- Calm down Arjun. Why r u sounding so restless...????? Everything is good. Riya n aisha both are absolutely fine. There is nothing to worry about. So just relax n tell me wht happened...?????

Arjun(inhaled a deep breath):- Thank god... It's nothing mom... it's just... Riya wasn't picking up my phone so I got a bit tensed up... BTW where is she...?????

Riya's mom(in a bit teasing tone):- A bit tensed Arjun... You are sounding like as if the world is soon going to end.

Arjun(getting a bit emotional):- My world will surely end mom if something happens to her coz is the world to me. She's the reason I breathe.

Riya's mom:- Nothing will happen to either of you my son. My blessings are always with you both. Your love has that strength which can overcome any obstacle. So erase all these negative thoughts from your mind. Nothing could go wrong until you are there with her.

She further added to cheered him up a bit.

Riya's mom:- Not to worry my son she will be always there with you to chop your heads off by her nonstop blabbering. (Just then she noticed Riya descending down the stairs, munching a chocolate bar n holding a big bowl of ice-cream in her other hand) What do I do with this girl?????

Arjun:- What happened mom...????

Riya's mom(in a slightly irritated way):- Your wife... Always test my patience. Doctor advised her to take healthy n nutritious diets but here mam is munching on chocolate n ice-cream in the morning. Doesn't care a bit about her health. I don't know what's wrong with her these days that her mood swings quite frequently. I wish she recover soon from weakness otherwise she make all of us mad exactly like her. Sometimes I surprised how you handled all her crazy antics so well.

Arjun(smile):- What to do mom... I loved her like that. Her all crazy yet sweet antics made my day. Missing them a lot these days.

Riya's mom(dramatically):- OMG what she have done with that akdu sadu acp Rawte which we all know..????? You are sounding like a typical lover boy, my son. I must say my daughter left a great impact on you. You are talking exactly like her.(In the mean time she came n sit beside her mom. Her mom looked at her side n speak on the phone).Was speaking of the devil n look she arrives.

Riya(in an annoyed tone):- Mom...

Riya's mom(smiling):- I m not calling you devil. How can I...????? I mean devil won't leave me for comparing them to you na.

Riya(in fake anger):- Mom... This is not done. Won't talk to you.

Riya's mom(smiling):- Awww my sweetie... I m just kidding,my doll. You are my angel.

Riya:- Love you mom.

Riya's mom:- Me too my Pari.

Riya:- Awww... BTW who is on the line???? ( Arjun is still on the line n is enjoying mom-daughter sweet moments n finally get a bit relaxed after hearing Riya's voice).

Riya's mom:- Oh god, I totally forget that Arjun is on the line. ( Riya's face lite up when she heard Arjun's name but soon became sad when she remembered his harsh words but covered up instantly for her mom's sake coz she doesn't want to make her worried). Sorry son. Your mad wife will also make me mad some day. Your Riya is here now so talk to her n let me play with my grandson. Bye beta. Take care.

Arjun(laughed a bit):- Bye mom. You too take care of yourself. Love you.

She hand over the phone to Riya n went to Samar who was playing with his toys on the other side of the hall.

Arjun:- Riya... Riya... Are you listening to me Shona..??????

Riya:- Ya... Ya what...?????

Arjun(desperately):- Where have you been jaan...????? I was trying to talk to you since last night but it seems as if you r not interested in talking to me. I m terribely missing you sweetheart. If you are upset with me on anything then slap me hard on my face but never stop talking to you. Plzzz speak up jaan. I m dying out here to heard your melodious voice which always erase all my stress, exhaustion and negativity around me. Riya... (He got a bit emotional n took her name in such a deep voice that melted her heart instantly but again those bitter words resurfaced in her mind so she remained silent until he called her again but this time he take her name ever so lovingly) Riyaa...How r you baby..????

Riya:- I m fine.

Arjun:- Thank god finally you speak. I wish I could come up to you right now n embrace you in my arms. Couldn't describe in words how much I m missing being next to you. Plzzz take care of you n follow the doc instructions. Come back soon to me jaan. I m missing you like hell. What happened to you Ri..???? I m the only one talking here. Why is my chatter box so silent today. Aren't you feeling well...???? If there is any problem then tell me. Ok just wait I m coming there with doc till then you go to your room n take rest.

Riya:- Oh good Arjun. Just relax. Why are you freaking out..??? I m perfectly alright.

Arjun:- Say it again na.

Riya:- What...?????

Arjun(sweetly):- My name sweetheart. It's been a long time since I heard my name from you. Love to hear it in your sweet voice. Say it na sweetu plzzz.

Riya:- Have you gone crazy...??????

Arjun(in a loving n flirtious tone):- Yep, I'm truly, madly, deeply, crazily n passionately in love with you... Samjhi ya fir vaha akar samjhau.

Riya(in a bit irritated manner):- Enough Arjun. Anyways tell me, Why you wanted to talk to me..???? Is there something urgent...????

Arjun(in a low tone):- Why...???? Couldn't I talk to you without any work...????? Without you I m feeling so empty inside. It feels like it's been ages since I have seen you or heard you. Couldn't able to spent even a day without you then how will I manage the whole week in your absense. Missing you badly Shona.

Riya(became a bit emotional):- I have to go now. Will talk to you later.

(Before Arjun responded she cut the call. She wanted to comfort him but again those hurting words clouded her mind).

Riya(MV):- I m also missing you badly n want to talk to you but the way you behaved with me on that day is still pinching me in my heart. I know you didn't mean the harsh words you said to me but still couldn't able to forget them even how hard I try.

Arjun(get a bit frustrated):- What the hell...!!!!! She disconnected my call. It seems that mam is not in the mood of talking with me. May be mom is right stress n weakness are taking a toll on her health n that's why she is behaving like this. She needs rest. Giving her off for some days was a right decision. She really needed it. Relax Arjun she herself will call you after sometime coz even she couldn't live without talking to you. So just chill n let's get back to work otherwise that damn it will eat your brains for not completing your pending reports.
