Chapter 17
Arjun and Sameer has started working on Roshni's case again and they are progressing very well with the help of team. This time they are doing it very carefully and slowly as they don't want any mistakes. They haven't reopened the case officially yet as they want to make sure the leads are correct. In between they have their normal cases as well. So now a days it's a little hectic for everyone.
"I really need a break guys" said Shree yawning
ETF is working very hard on a complicated case for three days and Shree is having extra work as usual.
" Stop complaining and concentrate on work Shree" said Arjun
"He is working continuously for three days Arjun, didn't even sleep properly and you don't even care" said Sakshi caressing Shree's cheeks
"No one asked your opinion, do your work fast" said Arjun
They finished that case by evening . Arjun was really proud of the team.
"Good job guys, especially Shree" then he turned to Rathore" Do they have to write the report today Sam? Let them relax" said Arjun to Rathore
"Of course, we will do that later, you guys don't have to come tomorrow , take rest. It's been a hectic case " said Rathore
"Ok that's good. Let's go out for dinner tonight, my treat.Pick whichever restaurant you guys want" said Arjun
Everyone was so happy and shocked.
"Sakshi I can already see your influence on him" whispered Aisha
Sakshi just smiled
" Ok then let's go now" said Rathore
"Now? Sir in this clothes?" Asked Aisha pointing her clothes " we will go home and change, then reach the restaurant"
Rathore rolled his eyes and said
"Ok then go fast, I will drop you and Liza"
Saying this they left
Arjun was in his cabin arranging files when Sakshi came and hugged him
"Oh Arjun, that dinner plan was so nice of you" said Sakshi still hugging him
Arjun smiled
"They deserved it. Now let's go home if you want to change"
"Of course I do, I thought first we will have some office romance" winked Sakshi
Arjun shook his head and went out followed by Sakshi
Girls wanted to go to a beach side restaurant . It's a stylish plus convenient one. Customers will sit on sand and the food will be served on a short table. So it's like enjoying the sea plus eating food. This place is mainly a tourist place.There are some shops attached to this where they sell clothes bangles etc. so all the ladies are in that shop and the men are sitting on the sand and talking
They came back with some bags in their hand.
"Oh I thought you guys forgot about food" said Shree sarcastically
All the girls smiled and sat near them. Sakshi sat next to Arjun. He was watching her. He saw her new bangles which is hugging her wrist. He smiled thinking about her craze for bangles.
"How is my new bangles" asked Sakshi to Arjun in a low voice
"Bangles are good" said Arjun emphasizing on bangles
Sakshi rolled her eyes and started talking to others.
"Why aren't they bringing food" asked Chotu impatiently
"Be patient yaar, they have to cook these many items for you, it will take time naa?" Asked Liza
"You guys should have come with us. Such a beautiful store." said Aisha
"Oh god, shopping with ladies? We will pass, thanks" said Shree
Soon they got food. They talked, laughed, had food , again laughed... It was such a wonderful and relaxed evening. After spending that beautiful evening with the team everybody went their home
Arjun was watching tv when Sakshi came and sat near him. She just took a bath. Again her fragrance is driving him crazy. Whenever he sees her like this it snatches his senses. He is watching her shamelessly tonight. He is watching her wet hair, her eyes, cheeks, lips which are so inviting and then her perfectly shaped body. He wanted to touch every inch of her.
"She should really stop taking bath" thought Arjun and to distract himself from his thought he decided to start a talk
"Sakshi?"
" hmmm?"
"Don't want to talk? Why are you silent?" Asked Arjun
"Nothing, can I ask you something?"
Arjun nodded
"Do you regret the decision to marry me?" Asked Sakshi
He didn't expect this question and thought "Why are you asking these kind of questions now? I am trying to control my feelings here.. Why can't you just fight with me? It's for your own good you know.."
Arjun looked in to her eyes intently for some time and said
"No... Not at all" and he continued to watch her
Sakshi knew this would be his answer but still she didn't expect him to express that openly to her.
"Why are you looking at me like that"
asked Sakhi who is becoming uncomfortable under his gaze. Tonight she could see some difference in his eyes. She could see passion and desire.
"I don't know" said Arjun
But he very well knew the reason.
Sakshi who is getting uncomfortable under his gaze, got up to go to her room. But she was stopped by Arjun who is holding her wrist
"Arjun, leave me please, I want to sleep" said Sakshi in a low voice.
"Forgot to tell you one thing, I have to go tomorrow. But you don't have to get up early to prepare food. I will have it from cafe.ok?" Said Arjun
"I will also come Arjun, what would I do sitting here?"
"No no take rest.. You need some sleep. Now don't argue, you are not coming tomorrow. Discussion over. Go to sleep now." Said Arjun
Sakshi walked to her angrily muttering herself
"What does he think about himself? Always ordering me around"
Next Day
Arjun is ready to leave for office. He went to Sakshi's room to tell her that he is leaving. He entered her room and saw that she is sleeping so peacefully hugging a pillow. He sat near her and smiled.
"Sakshi, I am leaving, your coffee is in the kitchen. But I didn't prepare any breakfast. Eat something ok?" Said Arjun
"Hmmm... Don't go Arjun" said a sleepy Sakshi
Arjun smiled and caressed her hair " I have to go, there is some urgent work. Ok you sleep, see you in the evening. Bye" then he left the room
Sakshi got up after sometime. She remember their morning talk and smile. She decided to clean the house as she is not getting much time for these things due to her hectic work.
She cleaned all the rooms and then went to Arjun's office room. She was dusting his table when she noticed one camcorder in one draw.
"He has a camcorder? I never knew. Good, now I can record things" thought Sakshi and took it out.
She charged it full and unplugged it.
She switched it on and saw that there are some old videos in it.
"Probably Roshni's videos.. Should I watch it? Am I crossing their privacy ? " thought Sakshi but curiosity overpowered her and she wanted to see their relationship so she played one video. She saw Arjun sitting on his bed typing something on his laptop and Roshni is recording it

"So Mr ACP is again in his bad mood, looks like his work is not going well. Are you ready for an interview Mr Arjun Rawte" asking Roshni playfully who is shooting Arjun
"Roshni please don't disturb me now, it's an important work" said Arjun not looking up from his laptop
"I am not disturbing you Mr ACP, you can not be so irresponsible. It's your duty to give answers to the the public"
Arjun glared to the camera " Roshni please stop..I need to concentrate"
"Oh not in a good mood I see, ok fine I will go then" came Roshni's voice and the camera turned to other direction and then that video file stopped
Sakshi felt weird. She doesn't know what to feel. She knew she is crossing a line and Arjun might not take it well if he comes to know about it, still she couldn't help herself from playing next video. In that video Roshni is lighting some diya, she is wearing a saree and was looking pretty in it and Arjun is sitting beside her helping. Sakshi could hear Sameer's voice. It's him who is taking this video.In that video Sakshi could see a truly happy Arjun. He was laughing so easily. That video also ended quickly. Then she played the next video.
In that video Roshni is sitting in a chair.
She is talking to the camera
"Arjun if you are watching this video that means I am dead. Here I am going to tell you a story and the reason for my death..."
Sakshi was shocked to hear that
"Reason for her death? Arjun said it was Sikkandar and everything happened so sudden. So how come she knew that?" Thought Sakshi and played it
Sakshi saw the whole video and was shocked beyond words. Her hands were shaking and she was sweating badly. Tears are flowing freely from her eyes. She sat on the floor and cried silently. That video pained her heart like anything. She sat there for a while and decided to call Arjun. She knows that Arjun will not appreciate her watching this video, but he deserves to know the truth. So she dialed his number
Arjun and Sameer were working on Roshni's case when Arjun got Sakshi's call
"Haan Sakshi tell me"
"Arjun.. " called Sakshi
"Sakshi are you ok? Your voice is very weak" Asked Arjun
"I am alright, don't worry. But Arjun please come home fast, there is something urgent"said Sakshi
"Is it very urgent? We are working on Roshni's case." Said Arjun
"Case? This case is a big lie Arjun, I know the exact reason of her death, come home soon, alone" said Sakshi and cut the call
