Sameer felt the tug at his wrist and turned to face ayesha.He didnt have any idea what was coming up.He thought Ayesha wanted to thank him for the drop but then when ayesha suddenly came close and kissed him he started feeling strange.Her kiss and close encounter was disturbing him.Then came the confession.Sameer was just shocked.He couldnt believe his colleague could feel something like this for him.

He wanted to stop ayesha and talk to her but the smile on her lips and happiness in her eyes stopped him to talking to her further.He let the matter rest for some other time.He planned to talk to her next day in office.He needs to clarify things.He looked up at the building and saw lights in the flat ayesha was staying.He got inside the car and drove away.

Ayesha reached her flat and switched the lights on.She peeped through the curtains in her balcony and found Sameer standing still where she had left him.She found him look up and then went away.She kept looking until the car was completely invisible.

The smile on her lips had not left even for a second.She again looked into the mirror and blushed.

'shit,sir kiya sochenge mere bare mein,'she thought and blushed more.She freshened up and went to sleep,blushing all the while and smiling thinking about him.

Next morning she reached Office quite early.No one had come yet.She sat on her desk and quitely smiled looking at the closed door of Rathore's cabin.She had not slept well last night.Her sleep broke every now and then and she was too excited and scared to sleep.Different types of thoughts roamed about her head all night.At last she decided what ever he would decide she will take it bravely and not feel weak.

Rathore came about an hour later and found her sitting at her desk engrossed in the computer screen.He went close to her and called her,

'Ayesha tum itni jaldi?',

'Good morning sir,wo eise hi,need khul gayi thi to aa gayi,'Ayesha got up startled and replied to him nervously.

'mere cabin mein aao kuch baat karni hai,'Sameer said and walked away,

Ayesha made a small prayer to the almighty and went to his cabin.Knocking on his door nervously,she went in.Sameer was sitting at his usual chair signing some papers.

'aao ayesha baitho,'

Ayesha took the chair in front of him.Sameer kept the papers aside and looked at her straight.After a a minute or some more he started,

'Ayesha kal raat jo tumne kaha,kiya wo koi mazak tha?agar mazak tha to plz apne sare mazak se mujhe door rakhna,mujhe ye sab pasand nehi hai,apne dosto se bhi kehena,'

Ayesha was getting negative vides now.She was trying hard to control her fast beating heart.She took the courage and asked him,

'Aur agar ye mazak nehi hai to?'

Sameer looked at her puzzled.Was she really asking that question?He took some time.He had to tell her the truth but he didnt want to hurt her.He started,

'Ayesha agar ye sach hain to mein tumhe koi jhooti tasalli nehi dena chahta.Ayesha please mujhe galat mat samjhna.Mein tumse pyar nehi karta.Tum mere liye sirf meri colleague ho aur kuch meine kabhi socha hi nehi.Tum mere sath kam karti ho aur mein nehi chahta kisi bhi wajay se tumhari performance mein thori si bhi asar padhe.Is liye tumhe sach bata raha hu.Please Ayesha meri baat ko ache se sochna aur samjhne ki koshish karna.'

Ayesha was hearing at him with lowered eyes.Her eyes had filled up and she didnt want him to see the tears.She blinked to hide back the tears and then with a smile,

'i understand sa..sir,i am sorry agar meine ap ko kal hurt kiya to,please sir mind mat karna.aur kuch kehena tha sir?'

'nehi.wo jaganath case ke file complete karke de dena'

'right sir,',she stood up and hurriedly got out.

She directly went to the pantry and sat on a chair.She was still not able to believe what sameer said right now.Its not that she had not thought about this,she had even prepared herself to face the worst but after hearing it from him she was not able to control herself.She hid her face in her palms and broke into tears.Her hands were shaking and cold.She was desperating trying to stop the tears but they were flowing in their own accord.She was feeling a terrible pain in her chest.Her strength,her courage,her love everything went for a toll in just few hours.Her every dream lay broken into million pieces in front of her and the worst part of it was,it was broken by the same man she had dared to dream the dream with.

Evryone started coming into the office.Ayesha wiped her tears and went into the washroom.She washed her face and looked into the mirror.Her eyes were red and swollen.She held onto the wall to stand properly.She composed herself and put up a brave face.She went out to find shree and chotu going towards the conference room.Shree saw her and called out,

'Ayesha there is case,conference room mein aao,'

Ayesha just nodded and went inside the room and took her seat.Arjun was already there,Riya was making coffee for everyone.Shree and chotu too sat there chatting.When she entered shree signalled her asking her about last night.She mouthed a 'nothing' and concentrated on the file in front of her.Shree hit his head and mouthed,'tera kuch nehi ho sakta.'

Ayesha remained silent which actually surprised all of them.They had atleast expected a sweet smile or a slight blush on her cheeks.But none was there.Neither her eyes glistered at the mention of sameer.But they ignored that and concentrated on their work.

After sometime Rathod came in the room and started briefing.While briefing Rathod looked towards Ayesha and could easily distingwish the happy face in the morning and the pain lingering now in the same face.Her sad face did make his heart melt a bit but then he cant fall in love for her sake.

They went out to investigate at the crime scene.There Ayesha specially kept to herself.She was as efficient with her work as she is always but didnt indulge herself in any sort of extra word with anyone.Once Sameer came to her to asked her to accompany him to the victims friends place.She went him but except neccesary for the case she didnt speak to him,didnt even smile.Rathore was getting disturbed by this action of her.He was missing her smile.This thought disturbed him more and he shut it right there.

It was late and everyone was going back home.Shree suggested to drop Ayesha along with chotu,riya too dropped in with them,and while in car asked her about last night encounter with Rathod,

'Ayesha bata na kal raat kiya hua?tune bataya Rathod Sir ko apne feelings ke bare mein?'

Ayesha remained silent and ignored their questions for a long time but they continued asking her,that made her furious and

'Shree,tumhe aur koi kam nehi hai?hamesha mere piche pare rehete ho?kal bhi zabardasti mujhe rathod sir ke sathe bhej diya?ye kaisi battamze hai?aur uske upar tumahre curosity kabhi khatam hi nehi hoti.Samajte kiya ho tum mujhe?dost hu to kuch bhi kehe sakhte ho?mujhe ye sab bilkul pasand nehi samjhe tum?chup chap mujhe ghar chor sakhte ho to choro warna mein yahi utar jati hu.'

Ayesha's outburst shocked everyone of them.They knew something was seriously wrong but Ayesha would never tell them.Riya signalled Shree to silently drop her home first,they did that and ayesha just rushed in without even waiting for a second more.

Riya,shree and chotu went home silently.All were in an equal confused state.Didnt know what had gone so wrong.Riya reached home and rang the bell.Arjun opened the door on the second ring.Riya walked in silent.Arjun found it quite strange.Riya hardly has a second in life when she is silent.Arjun followed her inside the house.She sat on the sofa and arjun sat beside her,

'kiya hua jaan?'

'kuch nehi arjun wo ayesha,'

'kiya hua ayesha ko,subah se upset lag rahi thi,'

'tumne notice kiya?,'riya almost jumped on arjun's lap,'pata nehi kiya hua hai,hume bhi kuch nehi bataya,'

'to kuch personal hoga,nehi batana chahti,'

'nehi wo kal ke baat se shayad upset hai,shree ne baat ki to uspe bhi chilla diya,'

'kal ki baat?kiya hua tha kal?fir kia kiya tum logo ne?'

Riya narrated the whole story at the party till she went with Rathod.Arjun was silent all the while..

'Arjun kuch kaho to,kiya soch rahe ho'

'tum itna tension mat lo,mein Rathod se baat karta hu'

'Sameer se?lekin agar unhe ayesha ne kuch nehi bataya to?wo to mujhe mar dalenge'

'kuch nehi hoga,tum meri dekh bhal karo,baki in dono ko mein dekh leta hu,'Arjun embraced riya and started kissing her.
